I contacted them because of good reviews and an appealing website. I told them right at the beginning that it was for 40 people and I wanted desserts only. They sent me a price sheet (listing multiple items sold by the dozen). I called with a few more logistic questions and the rep told me "we don't sell just a (a = one in my world) dozen of anything," so when I sent in my order I ordered two dozen of multiple items. She never said I could only order ONE item for that small of a group. I got an email back saying "Thank you so much for your time, but I don't think that we will be able to accommodate this." More than a week has gone by since initial contact and now I'm back to square one to find a caterer in Toledo who can provide excellent desserts. Their food might be great - I can't attest to that. But word-of-mouth is a caterer's livelihood, and I simply cannot sit back and not make others aware of poor customer service.

They asked me to schedule a call through their portal to discuss details, which I did for November 4. Unfortunately, they did not show up for the call. They eventually connected with me later that day, and I sent inspiration photos to help with planning. After that, I heard nothing until January 16, 2026, when Katie messaged me asking if I had seen her proposal. She apologized for the lack of follow-up and said she would resend it if needed. I informed her that I had not received the proposal in my spam or portal, and she promised to resend it the next day. However, by January 17, I still had not received anything. I followed up again on March 1, 2026, hoping for some progress. Despite the ongoing communication issues, I was drawn to their work because of the beautiful photos and event space they showcased on Instagram. I really wanted to use their services. On March 2, I finally received a response from Stephen, who explained Katie was attending a conference but assured me I would get the proposal within a few days, no later than the end of that week. Now, 20 days later, I have received no proposal and no further follow-up. I am left with no choice but to look elsewhere. If I could give zero stars, I would. I cannot comment on their food or event space because I was never able to utilize their services. I want to support local small businesses, but this experience has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating.

As the department cardholder, I coordinated directly with the owner to place 34 individual lunch orders. He made the process incredibly easy by allowing me to send one organized list with each employee's name and their chosen meal. I'll admit, I felt a wave of anxiety taking on such a large, detailed order; I worried something might get mixed up and that I'd end up facing complaints. I'm happy to share that my worries were completely unfounded. The owner and his team went above and beyond to ensure every single order was prepared accurately and on time. Not only was everything perfect, but the staff absolutely loved their meals...there wasn't a single complaint. What impressed me even more was that the owner personally delivered all 34 orders himself. That level of dedication and customer service is truly rare, and it meant so much to all of us. The Public House exceeded our expectations in every possible way, and I can't thank them enough for helping make a long meeting day run so smoothly.
