This place has been going for around 24 years and may very well not have changed a whole lot over time.
Still, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Sometimes things, and food, are overcomplicated by making menus too fancy, decor too 'chic' and service too 'unservicey'. I don't know what that even means but what I'm getting at is that although it's not the coolest and trendiest place on the street, it doesn't matter.
You're not paying stupid prices for small portions and Danny's does what it says it's going to do, like a traditional Italian Ristorante should. If you want pizza, pasta or a Parma - you've got it. Are you going to get the best one of those in the world? No. Is it going to be the worst? Certainly not.
Unlike some of the other places on a Saturday night, you can actually hear yourself speak. They only have BYO which is maybe one reason why it might have been more quiet than the others. It's also lit up more than other places - at least you can see where you're going.
Also a good thing was that it came out fairly quickly. While my pasta was no better than what I can cook for myself (mine's pretty decent), the bruschetta was actually really good. A limited option menu but it keeps it simple. And they do take away and $10 meal deals at lunch time - can't go too far wrong. read more
