We were assigned this locksmith through our home warranty company. Throughout the years vendors through the home warranty have been hit or miss. It's a struggle sometimes because I don't have the opportunity to check out reviews on the company before they are assigned. Dan's Pro-Lock was definitely a hit. Alfred came out and rekeyed my new home. He was friendly and professional. He gave us some helpful maintenance info about keeping our locks oiled annually. I didn't even know that was a thing. We were definitely struggling to get the keys into the locks and would have continued to do so until we replaced them (14 locks!), thinking that they were just broken. Once Alfred worked his magic, the locks were as good as new and we had new keys to our new home and feel a bit more secure knowing that keys to our home aren't just floating around. read more

I called and asked for more specific time frame and was told 9:00 a.m. Waited til 9:30 a.m. and called office, told me she had no idea who told me that, but I would not get service until August 8. Wow, so quick. Then she told me I was given a time when the tech would be calling to schedule the appointment. So, I'm scheduling to schedule to get on the schedule. Uh, no. I was a bit skeptical because they were the service provider used by my home warranty provider to rekey all my locks, and I thought it was weird that this company is based in Houston while I'm in CA. Plus my house has complicated locks on French doors, so I was worried they'd rekey the locks but also cause new problems. I have to say though that the guy who came out to my house in Manhattan Beach was punctual, friendly and got the job done without any hiccups or issues. What more can u ask for? read more

When I initially made my appointment for a rekey service, the locksmith would only give me a range for estimated time of arrival (between 1pm and 5pm). The morning of the appointment, I received a call at 10am that he could be there in 15min. I did not respond as I was at work and had a later time scheduled. I left work early to meet up with the locksmith between 1-5pm. I called to ask for an eta and was told that my appointment had been given to someone else. At around 4pm, I received a call that the second locksmith who I was assigned to could not make it but that someone would come out at 6pm. The locksmith who eventually arrived was really friendly and did a quick job. I wish the company would honor their scheduled appointment times. read more
