The only reason I didn't do them via Turbo Tax was because I had an IRA withdrawal and was hesitant. Simple 2 W2's and a 1099 and the fee they attempted to charge was $500! After reaching out to her boss she got the fee reduced to half. THEN I mentioned I was interested in the ADVERTISED no interest refund advance and was told "Oh no.. there will be no discount if you want that." I had a CPA (not someone trained for 20 minutes in how to use Turbo Tax) and was never charged such an outlandish fee. Took my forms back and will file myself. Thanks for nothing lol

i typically do my own taxes, but i wanted help doing my late taxes from the prior year. i called in…read morespecifically to this location, told them my situation and they told me it would be $85 to prepare my taxes. i questioned, even if i have a dependent. she said yes it would be a "basic" tax return and would only be $85. i questioned AGAIN, "so even with a dependent that would be a basic tax return?" she AGAIN told me yes and then said it would be $85. i booked the appointment and spent an hour with one of the ladies, she was very sweet and i honestly intended on working with her again in the future and telling people how much easier it was just to use h&r block... until we got to the end and they hit me $230 or they just wouldn't file my taxes. ‍ i would have completely caused a scene, except for the fact that it wasn't the lady i dealt with who LIED to me about the price to do taxes. so now instead of doing future business with them and referring anyone, i will be sure to go out of my way to tell anyone about my experience. stick with turbotax, i been using it for over 10 years. hope the extra $145 was worth it and i hope you try not to do bad business with other people.
