I arrived a little early, disheveled and not prepared (hair a mess and makeup not done) and she was so patient with me as I prepped myself for the shoot. Getting in and out of the wardrobes was easy, she guided me with every pose and she even took the pressure off by having great music and of course her awesome dance moves. I recently lost 40 lbs and wanted to feel reinvented, do something sexy, feel alive! I did some research and managed to find a couple of Groupon options. Everyone's work seemed played out and/or mundane. The typical pin-up style boudoir where the women attempts to be sexy while pumping gas in bright red lipstick and a bandana. Are guys really into that? Anyways, I quickly moved on to the next photographer on the list and immediately, I hit gold! Catherine Cooper's images more than peaked my interest. Her pictures told a story--as if you were watching a thriller with a crazy plot twist, and you're dying to know how it ended. I was so enthralled with her website and photos, I quickly scheduled a consultation with her. Cathy's punctuality and professionalism is what prompted me to schedule a photography session. She was so down to earth, pleasant, and impressively organized. She walked me step by step on how to prepare for my session as well as what clothes and hairstyles would work best for me. She wasn't pushy when it came to purchasing photo package upgrades and she didn't treat me like I was "just another client." She personalized my photo session with concentration on certain parts of my body that I wanted to showcase more than others. There's no one size fits all with Mrs. Cooper--every clients gets EXACTLY what they want... AND MORE! She provided makeup and hair services, as well as some light snacks during the session. I was 100% comfortable with Cathy; honestly, guys, her support and encouragement made me feel like a Paris Fashion Week runway model. After initially leaving a raving review she did not send me the picture she's stated she would send (in email). She also emailed my friend (whom gifted me the shoot). That she was requiring a $1000 by a set deadline before she would even edit my photos. I've never felt so judged in my life. This was not a "requirement" that was stated in the initial consultation with my friend prior to the shoot. I was not about to spend $1000 on pictures I had not seen. I am aware of the time Photography takes and how expensive it can be. This was not my issue at all. I do have a job and I do splurge on myself. One question she asked prior to my leaving is what were some initial fears I had. I mentioned to her that I am also a photographer (not professionally) and I am VERY PICKY about photography and I initially had a difficult time releasing all control to her. If you choose to use her be sure you are clear on ALL of the requirements. There are several Boudoir Photographers in this area. Do your research prior. I will be taking my money elsewhere.

I was asked (not only prior) but during the shoot my degree of comfortability with everything from the temperature to the location of the shoot and everything in between. The hair and MUA (make up artist) was also extremely clean and professional, being sure to ask me what type of skin I categorize under (oily, dry to oily, etc) and made sure to use the products accordingly which I appreciated, having sensitive skin. I also have hair extensions and she was very careful in her styling tools and products and created a stunning yet subtle glam look that coordinated perfectly with the looks/outfits I brought in and the location of our shoot. The photographer was also extrememly credible in having the "eye" for poses, angles and all around professionalism for the art. He was really helpful with physically showing me how to pose, arch, twist and turn versus simple vocal demands and never fell short on reminding how great of a job I was doing despite being nervous and self critical. I was treated with respect, honor and like a celebrity. I would highly reccomend Javier Omar Photography for really any occasion needing photography but most certainly boudoir and would be willing to bet my money that you will not have another experience that comes even close to the expererience you would have with this company. Seriously, my boudoir shoot with Sandra was so far above and beyond my expectations, I am not sure I can fully put into words how it was. First, her neighborhood and house/studio is immaculate. I felt so safe and so comfortable, it was a great first impression. And then you meet Sandra. Gem. Doll. I don't know the right way to describe her and her aura but honestly, she is the gf we all never knew we needed. From hello, I felt like she was someone I had known forever and she was my biggest fan. She isn't in your face or obnoxious, she just vibes that way. She had Janet come in to do my makeup and hair. I've never been made up by someone else where it resulted in me feeling like I was my most elevated, sensual self. Janet made sure her vision for me matched my vibe and was in line with how I felt best about myself. And then she worked hella fast (hope I can say that in a google review!) and when she was done, not only was I in awe of how I looked but the makeup she put on me didn't make me feel like I had any make up on!
