UPDATE: Cindy believes portions of this review are trade secrets and violate our contract, and is threatening legal action. So I have redacted what she highlighted as I don't want to deal with this any longer. I really went back and forth on whether to write this review, as I am generally non-confrontational. But my experience with Cindy was so awful and bizarre that I feel I need to warn any parents thinking to book from her, so they know what they might be getting into. Long story short: I never received the pictures from her, and she went back on our contract. Even when we booked the shoot, she [REDACTED], and seemed a bit difficult to work with. I ignored all the red flags, thinking this was normal for newborn photographers, and stressed myself to infinity making sure I followed her rules ([REDACTED]). [REDACTED] when my husband requested [REDACTED]. Her no didn't bother me as much as how rude she was about it. But again, [REDACTED], so I let it go. The shoot went fine, even though [REDACTED] (which we knew nothing about). But oh well, it was done, I was very relieved. She wasn't sure she got the family picture since my toddler wasn't cooperating, but [REDACTED]. I got her invoice the same day, but was waiting to hear confirmation on whether she got the family photo or not, so didn't pay it. I got a reminder from PayPal the next day (which I thought was automatic). I still hadn't heard from her, so I waited. The next day I got an updated invoice with a late fee. This time, I emailed her asking what was going on, and explained that I was waiting to pay since I hadn't heard whether she got the add'l shot. She said she had gotten the shot, and I was late paying. I said there was a miscommunication and to resend the original invoice, and I would pay. She sent the new invoice at around 5pm. I was having issues with my email notifications, and didn't see it until I logged in on my laptop at 2 am. I tried to pay the invoice, but it said it was canceled. I noticed an email a little after midnight saying the invoice was canceled, and my original deposit was refunded as well. Thinking there was an error, I texted her about it, and sent the full payment directly on Paypal. The next morning, that was refunded as well. I texted her again -- no reply. I called her -- no reply. I emailed her -- no reply. I texted again the next day. I tried calling from my husband's phone. Nothing. I finally sent a long email a day later asking for her to at least let me know what was going on instead of giving me the silent treatment. She finally replied and said she refunded me in full since I was late paying, and she wasn't "a debt collector". I thought this a bit extreme, but she had my pictures, so not wanting to antagonize her, I apologized if she felt that way, and that it was clearly a misunderstanding. I had paid her only a few hours after she sent the invoice (but I think she thought midnight was the cutoff, which she had not specified to me anywhere). I even offered to pay the late fee. She replied saying she would not be giving me the pictures, and that's that. Her invoice said that if we did not pay within 10 days of the shoot, she would cancel the pictures. This all happened 4 days after the shoot, so she was actually violating her own contract! I am not sure why she decided to be so vindictive, but I did NOT need this level of stress while recovering from delivery with a newborn to take care of. I ended up booking another, more reputed photographer for my son's pictures -- thanfully they were able to squeeze me in for a last minute session. They were LOVELY to work with, did not stress me out in the least, and even wore a mask around the baby the entire time (turns out, photographers can work with masks!) So parents, please do yourself a favor, and book with someone else. Of all the difficult postpartum things, my experience with Cindy was the only thing that made me cry. Having a baby in the house is a stressful and exhausting time already, and you don't need someone making your life significantly harder. read more

We are so happy we went with Darling Dimples Photography. She drove all the way out to Rancho Cucamonga with a car full of props, backdrops, lighting, clothing, wraps, you name It! They were quick with set up and ready to go! Cindy was our photographer for our newborn photos and Haley was her assistant. She sent us great instructions in advance to help us prepare our son to be sleeping during the pictures. We followed them to the T and had the house at 85 degrees when she arrived. Our son slept like a dream through the photos only whining a few times. During those times Cindy expertly made him fall back into a deep sleep just by rocking him gently with her hand and a little white noise. I have added this technique to my tool bag and have used it since :-) Watching Cindy work was really cool too. You can tell she has an eye for photography and is passionate about her work. As for the pictures... OMG were they so amazing!! I couldn't wait to post a few on Facebook/Instagram :-) Rave reviews from every one!! I have to say, these are the best pictures of my son and I love showing everyone just how cute he is. Definitely worth every dime. My Husband and I had the pleasure of having Cindy photograph our daughter. Prior to my daughter being born I had messaged her a few questions and she promptly replied which made me feel very comfortable with choosing her. This was our first official newborn session and we were new to everything that comes with it. She sent us detailed instructions to prepare for the session and we followed them to a T before she arrived. We live on the 3rd floor apartment and Cindy and her daughter brought up all the props and outfits we would ever need to get a perfect shot! My daughter decided she didn't want to fall asleep right away but Cindy used white noise and was able to lull her asleep. Once asleep my daughter proceeded to pee almost immediately on her first prop! I was very embarrassed but Cindy was just fine with it and proceeded to change the prop and continue. I admire all of the patience that she has when positioning and keeping the little one posed. Took some time since my daughter wanted her legs straight in the air but Cindy was so patient and the end result was perfect! I am more than in love with how my little Elora's photos came out and her turn around time for the edited photos was really quick which was wonderful because I was so excited to see them! I was very pleased with my experience with Darling Dimples Photography. My newborn pictures were completed November 2019. I didn't think to leave a review until I came across her Yelp page when referring a friend and saw a nasty review someone left because of their own negligence and lack of planning to schedule their pictures. I had scheduled my newborn photograph session when I was in my second trimester of my pregnancy (as it is recommended on the website) and left my deposit to guarantee my spot. I was concerned that we would not know when baby would come, so how do we schedule a photoshoot? Cindy reassured me that most babies don't come on their due date, anyways, but by booking in advance she is able to keep an opening available "around the time" of my due date. She just requested I of a family member send her a message informing her I had gone into labor. We scheduled the newborn pictures 5 days after my baby was born. We had already discussed the color theme and props I would like to use for my session. She had a wide variety of props to choose from, but you have the option to use your own as well. She had an array of bows, swaddles/wraps, headbands, and prop covers to choose from. Cindy gives you the reigns and let's you decide what back drops and props you want to use. Cindy brought all her equipment to my house and set it all up in the brightest room in my house (dining room). She even helped my mom move the table out of the room, since I was still recovering from labor. Cindy sent me two sneak peak edited pictures a few days after the session. I received the remaining photos a few weeks later. She sent digital images as well as mailed me a flash drive with them attached. All in all, my experience with DDP was pleasurable. I will continue to refer business to Cindy, and if and when I have another baby, I will most definitely book a newborn photo session with her again! read more

We reached out to Cindy for the maternity/newborn photo bundle. This review is only for the maternity shoot since our baby has not been born just yet. I have to say that this was the easiest, loveliest experience I could have hoped for. Making arrangements for the date & location were super easy and the day of could not have gone more smoothly. The prices are transparent and once we nailed down the date, the deposit was paid via PayPal. The balance was not due until after the shoot was complete. My husband and I decided to go with Darling Dimples photography for our newborn photos! Her prices were very very reasonable and her work is great. It was great that she came to our house as well. Getting out of the house with a newborn isn't easy. We didn't realize how much goes into getting all of those cute shots you see online, like keeping the baby awake for an extended period before the session and cranking our heater up in the middle of summer!! However, this is what is necessary to get baby in a deep sleep for the photo session. As hard as it was to keep baby awake before the session, it was totally worth it because we got some amazing pictures that we will cherish forever. My husband and I just recently had the pleasure to work with Cindy and her daughter about two weeks ago. My induction was scheduled and she planned our shoot 6 days after. Baby didn't actually arrive till two days after my induction but I kept my phone handy at hospital to let her know what was up because me and baby had to stay at the NICU and L&D for two additional days for monitoring. Cindy moved our appointment out another two days and we also changed our shoot location as well. Instructions to get baby ready for the shoot were a little intimidating but it payed off! Baby was asleep almost the entire two hours, and the photos turned out beautiful. For a photographer on call she works to do things efficiently and quickly. I was told shoots can take up 4 hours by friends of mine so I was actually very proud and relieved her method of keeping baby warm and sleepy avoided crying and feeding so they didn't interfere. Cindy is very rude. After the birth of my baby she just gave a specific date and time and said we needed to make it work and we couldnt. I just wish i knew before hand how rigid she was with how she schedules so i would not have bothered with her. We ended up deciding to do newborn photos for our 2nd son a few weeks before my due date, saw Cindys work online and reached out to her to see if she was available. Fortunately for us she was, because she did an amazing job for us. She does send out a set of instructions prior to and after booking a sesseion that can look rather intimidating, however they are put there for a reason and if followed your pictures will turn out to what you are expecting! Cindy brought tons of options for pictures, including wraps, outfits, blankets, etc. On her site she has clear pricing, what her photos props are and examples. I honestly would not even give her a star but I want everyone to know how she does business. Her Webpage stated that she understand things happen. My wife and son had complications and we have been in and out of the hospital due to complications. We asked if we could push back a day or two and she would not due to not informing her right when my wife went to the hospital to have our son (keep in mind) we told her the date of when the baby is due and due to complications we did not inform her right when our baby was born. I feel like she is not understanding of our situation. Though she said in her advertisement she can schedule a session when a baby is about 5-11 days old she did not even try to accomodate. Our sons photo shoot was scheduled when he turned 5 days old and she had no accommodations. I feel like she scammed my family of the deposit. I gave her business the benefit of the doubt thinking she would be understanding but it turns out she is not. If you want to kiss your deposit goodbye, i say book a session with her because this photography business is not accommodating when "things" happen.
