From the very beginning, his behavior demonstrated a clear and undeniable bias in favor of my ex, to the point that multiple decisions he made had to be brought before the judge and ultimately reversed because he overstepped the scope of his authority. Rather than acting as a neutral professional focused on improving communication and helping both parties work toward healthier coparenting, he consistently approached every situation with hostility, condescension, and apparent preconceived judgment toward me. His communication style was often rude, dismissive, and accusatory, regardless of the facts or context presented. What was most concerning was the complete lack of objectivity. Despite extensive written communication clearly showing that I was making repeated efforts to de-escalate conflict, cooperate, and improve the coparenting relationship, those efforts were routinely ignored or minimized. Meanwhile, my ex's communications frequently contained unnecessary nitpicking, antagonistic behavior, and attempts to manufacture conflict out of minor issues, yet those actions were never acknowledged or addressed fairly. A parent coordinator is supposed to help reduce tension and encourage productive coparenting. Instead, this process became another source of conflict because of the obvious imbalance in treatment and repeated overreach. When a neutral professional inserts personal bias into already difficult family dynamics, it can create significant emotional and financial harm for everyone involved -- especially the children. I understand that not every recommendation or decision will favor both parties equally, but neutrality, professionalism, and respect are the minimum standards expected in this role. We did not need to go to court or even to any kind of sit down with lawyers. Her and I basically ironed everything out ourselves. My ex decided she wanted a lawyer to make sure she did everything correctly. Choosing this place was a huge mistake that cost her a lot of money. This firm kept asking for more money to do this or that or anything that needed to be done. By the time it was all over, my ex had paid far, far more than what she thought she was going to pay. Does this show how amicable the divorce was? The first thing I am saying this place did wrong, was overcharge her, not me! When I was first contacted by this place, I was asked to upload a ton of financial information to a shared file site. I uploaded over 50 documents to the site the next day. About a month later I get a voicemail from them saying that they need these documents to proceed. The voicemail also said that they would like to be able to proceed without further litigation, which will be needed if I don't upload the documents. I called them and told them that the documents were uploaded a month ago. The lawyer checked and sure enough, the documents were there! Really? You didn't check first? You just left a message about taking me to court to get the documents you already have? Crazy! There was a lot of terrible communication like this while dealing with this firm. There was more than one occasion where they asked me for something they already had. There was one time that I received a call asking for something they said they asked for already. I checked all previous correspondence with them and had no record of them asking me for what they wanted. The communication was so bad that during one phone call I had finally had enough and told them that they need to get their act together and learn how to communicate with each other. I told them I was tired of them wasting my time. It was incredibly frustrating dealing with these people. My ex had the same issues with them. They are very unorganized and sloppy. I could go on and on, but this is already long enough. The one other thing I wanted to mention is how they shipped papers to me. They put no more that 20 pages of documents into boxes and shipped them. I will add pictures to this to show the boxes. They were crushed and reused boxes. Is this how you would expect a quality lawyer to ship documents? I couldn't believe it the first time it happened, then it happened again! I'm sure this place will post a response to this review, like they have with other negative reviews. There is nothing they can say to wash away the fact that they don't communicate with each other, are disorganized and not very well run. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a quality lawyer. Edit: As I knew would happen, this firm did post a reply. A pathetic one at that. I didn't ask you to address my review. I'm simply trying to alert others to your unorganized and unprofessional practices. Scott helped me hold strong and ultimately agree to a settlement that was fair to both sides yet was more than acceptable to me. Not only did he offer great legal advice and prevent me from just giving in to get it done, but he also helped me on the personal and emotional side of the ordeal and kept me strong until a settlement was reached. I found Scott to be extremely knowledgeable and experienced. When the ex came back looking for more (the first time,) he dismissed her demands and she went away. Now that she has come back (the second time,) he is helping me fight back hard and put an end to this nonsense. The fact that she has come back twice is a good indication that Scott's original counsel prevented the other side from getting their way.
