Kindra is amazing !!! My wife and I have been married over 10 years and had a few serious issues that we just couldn't seem to resolve on our own. We've been to marriage counseling once before and my wife has been to individual counseling. While the previous counselors did help identify causes, they didn't really offer any real solutions. It had more of a "you need to get over it" vibe. But Kindra is clearly a step above. She listens to our issues and probes for a deeper understanding while also being empathetic to our situation. The great thing about her is she is an "action" coach. Aside from listening, she not only identifies our goals for happiness/contentment, but she provides direction on how to reach those goals. Within a few sessions we implemented her suggestions and saw immediate improvement. She taught us to not only focus more on our needs as a couple, but to actively make changes that would bring us closer together. In addition to marriage counseling, Kindra also provides Energy therapy for my wife. We had never heard of this before, but basically she helps to "align" your body's energy. It consists of Kindra asking a series of questions/statements and seeing how your body responds. She then uses this information to put your energy back into "alignment". I admit I was skeptical at first, however my wife felt a positive change within her right after the first session. And after a few days, both my teenage kids and I noticed the change as well. And this positive energy wasn't just a feeling, my wife was able to take control of issues/pain she had felt with other people in her life (mainly family members) and set the tone for how she expected to be treated. Whereas my wife would sometimes question her actions when trying to protect herself, she now has the confidence to make decisions on difficult issues and standby them. Kindra's counseling and Energy therapy has a tremendous impact on our marriage and I would recommend her to anyone seeking help. I was seen at Davenport Counseling for about 18 months. I was going through an awful breakup with my infant daughters father and felt so low and alone. I was looking for counseling and couples counseling therapists and came across this practice. She was able to squeeze me in for an introduction appt and I returned as frequently as twice a week. The therapist is remarkable at what she does. She never poses an agenda when you meet and you will always talk about what you want, even if it's the same thing for the 10th time. What she will do is not only listen, naturally, she will ask you questions to make you look at how you're feeling in a different more positive experience for yourself. I truly believe that she cares about me, but genuinely cares about all of her clients and makes them feel important about themselves. Although I did not see Kindra as a therapist I did see her for her coaching sessions. She used her skills as a therapist and was so welcoming, never once did she push me to open up. She brought clarity into my life in ways I never thought possible. She made me see my strengths and guided me on how to utilize them in real life. Kindra also helped me see how my strengths could be hurting me and taught me how to flip that. It was a true eye opener and many times left me completely in awe of how I didn't see things before. I have been able to use all the tools she taught me in my relationships with family, spouse, friends, education and in my job. Kindra is simply amazing! She reads body language so well and can tell when she strikes a cord; helping you talk about things that may be hard to bring up. She really makes you feel safe and comfortable. She feels out the situation and gives you exactly what you need in that session. I went to her because I had a lot a fear surrounding love and relationships. She helped me make the connection between those fears and my past, and with that knowledge I was able to effectively work through those fears. Thanks to Kindra's help I was able to allow myself to get into a healthy/stable relationship (that's a first!)
