Beware of this company. I've never quite encountered a more unprofessional staff at the end of the phone. When I called in to say that some of our windows still looked bad...and I mean really bad for me to call them, I was practically told off. It was shocking. She said that their window cleaners come out, clean the windows, think they look good, the customer thinks they look good, and then the customer calls back later. That's because when lights hits in the right way you can see the smeary mess all over them. I really can't see how some of our windows were cleaned at all! Whoever I just talked to at Dave's Window Cleaning just nearly took a bite out of me for saying so. $400 later and I still need my windows cleaned. Steer clear of this company! I'm seeing the response to this review by the company owner. They NEVER said anything about coming back to redo the job!! And the only reason I talked over her is because she was doing that to me!! It was easy to schedule and get a quote over the phone and the pricing was right. On the appointed day a two men crew arrived in time as scheduled. The two men were very polite and professional and did an outstanding job. Dave: your guys were amazing; efficient and professional. I really wish I had taken before and after pictures for my review because after living here for eight years, two of which were under heavy reconstruction, our windows were filthy. Even my husband and I don't believe how good our windows look. It's like they're not even there. He had a groupon for so many windows at a certain price and of course we had more Windows so we paid more money. They only go up to second story Windows so if you have a third floor, ask them what they do. Not only did they clean the Windows, but they also cleaned our screens. I never knew they were that dirty. And a big plus - they showed up when they said they would. Would I use them again? Yes, and whenever I need my carpets cleaned I will call them. I've never written a bad review in my life and I hate to do so now as I have a world of respect for small business owners. After my windows were cleaned by Dave's window cleaning, I approved and said everything was fine. I am a senior citizen and my vision is not what it once was which is why I approved the job. It wasn't until the next day when the sun came out that I saw the streaks and the two missed windows. When I called for a follow up to correct these issues, I was met with a very aggressive reply. The owner's wife said, YOU ALREADY APPROVED THE JOB! I was very taken back by this. I was told that if they came back out and did not find anything wrong, they would charge me for the trip. This may not sound unfair, however, the accusatory way this information was delivered made me feel intimidated. I wish I had looked at the negative reviews on this company before I hired them and I would not have gone with them. The owner gives very toxic responses to one and two star reviews so I expect no less for my review. read more

The boss who looked to be Dave did not address the problem his employee was having in attempting to wash my glass storm door. The employee couldn't wash the upper outside window because the screen was in front of it. I explained how he could go about but he wanted to call the boss. He took a picture for the boss who said his employee didn't get involved with "mechanicals" How are three plastic slats mechanical? The boss said he had never seen a storm such as mine. It's an Andersen from Home Depot. The job was done well but I was put off by being asked for a tip when that was their job to complete the exercise satisfactorily. read more

Dave showed up with a single rag to clean all the windows. It was a hot day and he kept wiping his face with that same rag. He used excuses to skip a third of the windows that we had paid for. He complained bitterly he wasn't making enough profit with the Groupon we were using. Well, it's not our fault. Don't penalize us. If Dave signed up with Groupon to introduce his services to new customers who would want to keep using him after being blown away by their first experience, he failed. read more

Worst Experience Ever This is the worst business ever created!! They did a terrible job, my windows were still dirty after they were done. They dirtied my house with their shoes and they stepped all over my garden and ruined all of my growing crops. The guy broke my window and was almost not willing to pay for it, and the whole time he was here he had the worst and nastiest attitude you could imagine. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE A NEWER HOME I knew this was trouble from the onset when we had such difficulty with scheduling. We had confirmed pertinent details and thought we were set when we got a call that they were cancelling the appointment b/c we didn't confirm. I didn't know I needed to reconfirm something that was already set. They said they didn't have our correct info which was surprising given the initial back and forth but I am understanding that notes could be misplaced. We re-confirmed and were given a 4 hour window for when they may show up. Dave showed up w/ one of his kids to help. We have a new home (4 years old) w/ new windows of course and 'normal' blinds. We were told they couldn't do shutter windows so that took out the back 25% of our home which has shutters. Also, b/c our screens are 1 piece, they couldn't take them out or wash them so that eliminated quite a bit of what was needed too. So they were going to do what they could which was fine. They began upstairs and very quickly began to pack up and leave. Apparently, they had damaged a blind and decided that they had 'too much trouble at our house already' so were just leaving as quickly as possible. This seems very unprofessional to me. I promptly called Dave (as only my wife was home) to discuss. He seemed to be worked up despite my calm demeanor. I will say he is willing to pay for the damaged blind but I will try to fix it myself if possible or file a warranty claim if at all possible. I called Dave's to wash 15 windows inside & out .. I had one of his coupons for this work for $99... I explained to him that I had an atrium house with 12 windows in this area .. No problem he said .... on the appointed day he shows up ... looks at the atrium windows ... explains that there are "hard water" spots on the windows which will not come clean (funny when Fish Windows cleans them then SPARKLE) ... after ranting about that for 3-4 minutes he says "this isn't worth $99" and turns around and walks out .... this is 3 days before Thanksgiving .. I had booked this appointment 3 weeks in advance ... and he left me with dirty windows while hosting Thanksgiving day .... thanks for NOTHING Dave ! If I could give this company a ZERO I would .... I've used Dave's many times for carpet cleaning when our finished basement has flooded as well as for our upstairs carpets. They've also cleaned upholstery a couple of times. I did talk to the owner Dave about this so I don't feel like this is an unbridled review. First off Dave was extremely accommodating when I needed a rush job done before moving into a new house. We were looking for 4 rooms with carpet cleaned, deoderized, and then the HVAC system and ducts cleaned. He was able to fit me in, and with the coupon I used he came in about $50 under some of the larger companies. Not a huge deal, but as a gesture of good faith he treated all of my ducts as supplies, which kept the cost down considerably. He had given me a blind quote and wanted to stay to that. So very much happy with pricing and scheduling. The unfortunate part is that because I think he and his team was rushing a bit, we had some issues with the duct cleaning. I'm pretty sure this is due to the fact that I think they were using a supplemental team that may not have been as fully trained (they had a lot of questions for Dave). Again, this is something I was ok with because he was so accommodating, and his service to us what great in terms of communication. What did end up happening though is while the carpet turned out great, they apparently forgot to turn off the air conditioning which I guess is a critical step, and before they could get the ducts completely cleared out, it then blew a whole bunch of dust and soot into all of the rooms. In the carpeted rooms this was not a big deal because they still had to clean them, but in all of the other rooms there was a ring of black dust all around the vents, and you could even see where the workers shoe prints were in the dust when they went to replace the vents. Also, when replacing the vents, several of the returns that were even painted different colors were put in the wrong rooms, and some were pointed down rather than up. Our vents are top of floor so one thing you have to do is open them before screwing them back on, which they didn't, so I had to take all 25 vents back off and put them on the right way. They then neglected to clean up the flooring where the dust has spewed out and I had to clean it all up as I went vent to vent to open them back up. All in all I think a lot of this was because of rushing the job. Beyond this all the other reviews are great, I just think that you should think twice if you need a rush job and they are fitting you in if it's an extensive job. Carpets turned out great though and like I said, Dave seems like a really good guy, and I think we would use them again in the future for floor cleaning especially after he offered to make things right the next time around. I guess my point of the review was to make people aware no matter who they are using, duct cleaning can be a big process so make sure to get a quote and analysis ahead of time. read more

I'm putting my home on the market for sale and I thought it would be a good idea to have my carpets cleaned even though I thought they looked good. Dave came out and cleaned my carpets and I am amazed at how they look. He did the stairs by hand and while he was here I had him do two white chairs. I could not be happier and Dave in my opinion is the best carpet cleaner I have ever used. Dave informed me that he also does windows and that I should consider having my windows and screens cleaned. Well after the job he did on my carpets, I figured go for it. Dave came out two days later and spent the entire day cleaning 50 windows and 50 screens. My windows look amazing. YIKES. Called and wanted to get the coupon special for windows and carpet. Dave promptly told me "he can't schedule with certainty my window cleaning appointment". I explained I was interested in scheduling additional services as well, that were ala carte. He kept saying "we can't" ( proceeding to tell me what he couldn't do as far as my carpet cleaning for the special price, because it didn't hit a "minimum" without the windows, but I offered to pay in advance for the windows ! ). As we were scheduling the actual appointment, I was explaining where I lived and he huffily told me " I belong to the chamber of commerce" ( as if this means he knows every street in my community and where I live ). I was trying to be helpful. Then, even though I called him on his cell phone, from my cell phone, I was struggling to get my number off my phone while we were on the phone ( he told me he couldn't see the caller ID while making the appointment ) he abruptly told me he wasn't going to clean my carpets or windows because "it was too much trouble" , ( i.e. I was using the coupon, which he made it a point to tell me "he doesn't make any money on the loss leader coupon ). Don't let him talk you into work that isn't the work you called him for. Maybe we were unlucky. We called him simply to wash our windows. After he had supposedly done so, he told us our storm windows were too old to clean, and left several of them along with random other windows. So I called a specialist window company, and they said the windows were fine but he put them back the wrong way round - and they charged me $400 to put them back right. He persuaded my wife to let him power wash our fence, and popped two verticals next door - cost to the neighbor, $100. He then powerwashed our deck, in spite of being told not to, and gave up because "it wasn't working". He left a ring mark from his bucket on the deck. So now we need a real professional to come and clean and paint the deck - estimate over $1200. So in doing some work, he cost me $1700 plus, and failed to clean several of our windows. We recently moved out of Covington Apartments - which if anyone knows anything about them, they will nickel and dime you for anything they can find upon moving out. We wanted to make sure we got the best team to clean the carpets because we do have dogs, and after living there for over a year, our carpets did have a dog-smell. Dave was a little higher than some of the other teams that we had called, but with the reviews we saw of his company, we decided to go with him. It was worth EVERY PENNY. The carpets look better now than they did when we FIRST moved into the townhouse. They were completely clean, and smelled amazing! It didn't look rushed at all, and they even texted us pictures of the carpet and what they got out of it afterwards. Worst window cleaning ever!! I created an account on yelp just to write this review. None of the windows were washed, just wiped. All of the windows have a dirty film like covering. The team tried to leave without cleaning a whole set of windows on a back bedroom, a total of six windows were almost entirely missed. One window on the front was never wiped or cleaned.
