Wow this was a really tasty chicken meal! Love the spiciness of Daves Hot Chicken, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is craving som spicy tenders/sliders. The chicken was a bit on the drier side but that could just be my personal taste! 8/10 recommend!

Food: 4/5 - 2 tenders and fries: Pretty good! Much different than Popeyes and KFC; really enjoyed the fried chicken and the seasoning on the chicken was so nice. The fries were really good fresh too; I'd definitely get it again! Service: 4/5 it was a little slow because it was busy, but everyone was friendly! Ambiance: 3/5 given its downtown, it wasn't very clean. It wasn't dirty, but it wasn't clean. However, this is similar to other large franchises in the area, so not specific to them.

This was my first time trying Dave's and I will not be coming back. We ordered the food for delivery and when it showed up.. it was cold, full of oil and looked like it went through a tornado. I could have handled it being cold because I could have warmed it up but the presentation and quality was unacceptable. How do you toss a receipt on someone's food? It was so oily and the cheese fries.... We're not cheese fries. We were charged a $1.19 for adding cheese to the fries and there was literally a speck of cheese on them.

I'm slightly biased because I literally LOVE anything spicy! Their nuggets is my favourite, its definitely better than their sliders. This is my go to chicken place (especially over chick-fil-a, popeyes, mcdonalds). Also a big fan of their fries! Service is what you'd expect in a typical fast food restaurant, and same with the ambiance.

Decided to give Dave's Hot Chicken a try as it's been open for a while now in the TMU area. Went around lunch hour on a weekday and luckily not too busy with students. There were a couple of empty tables and seats but would give cleanliness a 2/5 as all the tables had leftover crumbs, sauce, etc. Ordered combo 1 ($17.99 before tax) which includes two tenders, two pieces of bread, fries, and pickles. There is a dipping sauce (Dave's sauce) that is slightly sweet. Fries were probably the best part of the meal! You would think that two tenders is not that much but they were pretty long and can get filling pretty quickly. The bread was unfortunately soggy and had no taste at all. I would have enjoyed it more if it was toasted. Also a little disappointed the combo did not come with a soft drink given the price.

This was my first time trying Dave's hot chicken, since there are no locations where I live in the United States. I had seen their restaurants on social media and was excited to try. It did not disappoint. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very friendly and explained everything very well. We ordered the one tender and one slider combo to get a feel for both since it was our first time. I must say that drizzling the tender with honey, and then dipping in the sauce, makes for the perfect bite. I recommend you check this location out if you are in Toronto. Hopefully we get one near us soon.

I love that there is a new player in the fried chicken and chicken sandwich space. Dave's offer something different in the mix. Their chicken meats are seasoned uniquely and have different levels of hotness available to order. We aren't tolerant of very spicy food, so we ended up getting mild chicken. We ordered Dave's #1 and #2 to sample both the tenders and the sliders. It was a little pricy considering that at $15.99 and $18.99, we still do not have a drink included. The food was good, though. I like that there is a dip or sauce and also some pickle slices. I personally find that I do not like how the order of the tenders looks. It is just a slab of chicken meat lying on a piece of bread. Service at the food place was excellent. The lady over the counter was very courteous in helping and explaining the menu items. She was also sensitive enough to notice after some time that there were people waiting to use the washrooms. It was locked, and a key was needed to gain access inside. The food place inside was busy during the Saturday evening we were there. We had to wait a while for our number to be called after ordering. The good thing is that the customer turnover was very fast. Even if the place was packed, we still found a place to sit. Not a lot of people seem to linger long after finishing eating, so there always appears to be some seating free.

Delicious chicken tenders, nice spice options, but the bun they give with the sandwich is pathetic.. it's like a little McDonald's hamburger bun served with a kids meal.. I hope they improve the bun to have a better sandwich

This is the fourth location in Canada, all four in Toronto. The soft opening was 2023-05-11 and grand opening was 2023-05-12. All menu items are halal. The Tenders are served with white wonder bread, pickles, and fries. The fries are crinkle-cut and are crunchy. The Sliders are served with a brioche bun, kale slaw, and pickles. Surprisingly they also serve beer ($5.99-$7.99)! Currently they are still waiting for their liquor license. When choosing your meal, you can choose between 7 spice levels: no spice, lite mild, mild, medium, hot, extra hot, and reaper; reaper is for the most daring! I spoke to one customer who always orders the spiciest level with any food. He said the reaper was the spiciest he had ever had, and he couldn't feel his tongue afterward. The service was good. The ordering process is easy. I ordered the combo Dave's #3 ($17.99), lite mild, which included 1 Tender, 1 Slider, Fries, Kale Slaw, Pickles, and Dave's sauce. I also ordered a Soft Drink ($1.99). There are free refills with the soft drinks, which you'll definitely need if your chicken is too spicy! The chicken was tender. There was a nice coating of spices. The Slider had dark meat and the Tender had white meat. I found that Lite Mild was already spicy enough for me! The kale slaw was a mixture of kale, cabbage, and lettuce. There is a mayo-based dipping sauce that you can use with the chicken and fries; it was delicious. As with other locations in USA and UAE, each restaurant is colourfully spray-painted inside and outside. Most locations have light wood tables and red metal chairs; however, this location uses red metal stools. There is plenty of indoor seating but no outdoor seating. There is loud 1950s-1960s pop music playing in the background. This chain started in 2017 with four childhood friends. Be aware that their Instagram account is run from the USA; they didn't respond to me even after 3 days! I met the Director of Canadian Operations, and he told me to email him about that. There is a loyalty program with their app. You earn points for every dollar you spend. When you download the app, you get a free shake. Unfortunately, the app is not available in Canada. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are 2 gender-neutral washrooms, one of which is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and several paid parking lots. There are 2 highchairs for little children. Review 2023-126

I don't understand they hype with this place. The slider was ok. Nothing too great. I thought the chicken was too salty. The fries were good. Service was a bit slow. There's plenty of seats inside. Great for grabbing something quick

Was excited to try their hottest choice of chicken "Reaper" It was not that reaper level that I remember from local wing places. It was a lot milder. I blew my nose once and my lips were mildly burning. Dry rubbed chicken with Dave's sweet sauce was a good combination though. Then you bite into pickles to cool down.

I will say the chicken is on point, super delicious, large pieces, i ordered the double sandwich meal, the buns were very fresh the chicken had a nice light batter which was perfectly spiced, i chose hot, and it was adequately hot, nothing you'd be fanning your mouth over, just hot enough. The chicken was really good, i thoroughly enjoyed it. My only complaint was the fries, its just kind of disappointing to see how much care they take in their chicken and then the fries seem like an afterthought, they were simply frozen crinkle fries you could buy at the supermarket. nothing special, they arrived soggy and under cooked, i will give 4 stars because i cannot give 3.5, the fries really lowered the score, i think if i order again, I'll pass on the fries. great chicken, blah fries.

Overall, my experience was alright. Nothing screamed out "Oh I have to go again!" or "let me tell…read moresomeone about this!". The piece of chicken on my sandwich was a rather peculiar piece in terms of its shape. It did not provide an enjoyable eating experience. When I took my first bite, after figuring out which would be an easy bite, a piece of chicken fell out which made me realize it was two separate pieces of chicken inbetween two buns. It got rather messy after having to pick up the fallen pieces. Other than that, it was flavorful but wasn't the best I've had. I prefer Dave's Hot Chicken over this. My fries were pretty salty. If given the option, I would have requested lightly salted or no salt at all. Space was small but understandable as it seemed to be a carry-out spot. Customer service wasn't quite all that. The girl took our order and that was it. Not much of a greeting nor farewell/thanks for coming. We didn't receive a follow-up during our meal to see if we may needed anything. I would have benefited from extra napkins. My friend enjoyed his meal. He stated it was a good meal but he wouldn't go out of his way to get this. He would have preferred to uber-eats it if he lived here. What made me want to go was the name. My last name is the same as the restaurant name so I figured give it a go! Also saw positive reviews on TikTok.

The Szechuan taste is a brilliant partner for this southern classic. This location is newer but retains the same seating format inside as its predecessors. First thing I noticed sitting down was how inflation absolutely drove these prices through the roof since the last time I had a bowl. Got myself a tonkotsu broth (totally missed the gyokai option ... only realized once I started eating and casually glanced back over at my sheet). Added premium toppings and held off on the gyozas this time around. Some things to note. They removed some condiments from the table. The pickled ginger, bamboo, mustard greens and garlic all used to be available ON the table for me to grab as a customer. Now the waitress just asks you if you want them when she's grabbing your order sheet. I think they should revert to having those items back on the table. I'm still able to grind my own sesame seeds into my ramen at the table which is great. Taste-wise, the bowl was delicious and reconfirmed to me why Ikkousha belongs in my top 5 list for toronto ramen. Value though? That's another story... My bowl of ramen with premium toppings and a serving of extra noodles was ~ $30 after tax and tip which is wild tbh. I don't think any other ramen place is charging that or more except Hokkaido Ramen Santouka (which I would argue has debatable value as a diner because of their super small portions). Yes, as a resto owner you account for inflation but I can't help feeling that the current pricing has gone past the inflation curve. 5 star ramen, 2 star pricing/value. The quality was excellent hence the 5 stars, but mentally I HAVE to drop a star because the price is just too high to ignore.
