Within minutes I had copies of my insurance cards emailed to me and I was able to prove to the police that I had insurance on my vehicle (bad on me for not having my newest cards handy!). DO NOT GET YOUR CAR INSURANCE FROM ALFA! My son was in a car accident with an uninsured driver. We…read morehad uninsured motorist protection on our Alfa policy. Even though the police officer did not issue a ticket to either party, Afla decided on their own that my son was responsible to get out of paying us for the uninsured motorist protection. The other person's car was impounded, yet Alfa sent us a one sentence response to the accident: that they were going to repair her car! So, while we were paying $5000 to insure our family, we had to pay a $1000 deductible (vs. what it should have been: $250) while the other party without insurance got off scott free and got her car fixed for nothing. Then, Alfa dragged their heels for 6 weeks, botching the estimate by contracting out a one person shop to do the estimate (the body shop said they always use him because he charges roughly half of what others charge) refusing to fix some of the damage for vague reasons, and then trying to tell us that our son admitted it was his fault in phone conversation with the adjuster. After demanding a transcript of that phone call, we discovered that not only did our son not admit to the accident, he pointed out details as to the negligence of the uninsured party and details as to how they actually caused the accident. After contacting the adjuster, his boss, and writing to the president of Alfa, we have had zero response. We have now filed a complaint with the BBB. The end result is this: BEWARE OF WHO YOU GET YOUR CAR INSURANCE FROM. LOOK AT THE COMPLAINTS ON LINE AND YOU'LL SEE THAT ALFA HAS A 1 STAR RATING AND THEN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM ALFA.
