This is the first time I've ever written a review of this nature, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I have been trying to reach Dr. Kennel for over a week regarding important test results for a family member. I was told I would receive a call back from a nurse, but after several days with no follow-up, I called the office again. During one of these calls, I was placed on hold by a woman named Mandy. When I called back to explain that I had been disconnected, rather than apologizing or helping, Mandy again placed me on hold. After I expressed my frustration and reiterated that I had already been waiting a week, Mandy responded with a hostile tone, denied that I had called previously, and then abruptly hung up on me--accusing me of being threatening, which I absolutely was not. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of communication is deeply disappointing, especially when dealing with sensitive medical matters. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that the office improves how it treats patients and their families moving forward. read more

Just left my first apt here so let's dive right into why I left a whopping 5 stars. We'll start with my first impression. So I walked in with extremely low expectations due to the low rating on yelp. Let's be honest though just because somewhere has a low star rating doesn't mean it's gonna be trash. I was highly impressed by how clean and well kept this office is. No weird smells, clean furniture and most importantly a clean bathroom. To me you can tell a lot about a place by how clean the bathrooms kept. Lol. Skipping into my overall experience as a patient, I felt like everyone was extremely nice to me and truly cares for the patients. I am a extremely emotional person, so for me I need to feel like I'm walking into a calm environment with friendly people or my day will go to shit really fast. The receptionist that helped me as I first walked in was a peach! She was super helpful and very friendly. She honestly put my worry's to rest immediately. She greeted me with a friendly smile and took her time with me while I asked questions, she joke with me a little bit and her overall attitude was amazing. I really appreciate that level of professionalism and kindness just as much as anyone else would I'm sure. Now time for the big guns! DR. Courtney, all I can say is holy hell shes good. Not only was she empathetic but she also is a amazing listener. I felt a strange sense of ease talking to her. If you've ever had trouble finding a good dr. Like myself you know how rare it is to feel like a dr. Is truly trying to help you and not just rush you out of the room. She took her time with me, allowed me to express all my concerns, joked with me a little bit, but most of all took what I was asking about into consideration. I've only ever had one dr. As good as her and unfortunately never thought I'd find another one like him until her. You can tell in a short amount of time that she is truly committed to her patients and extremely well educated. By the end of my appointment all my concerns were put to rest and I left feeling like I was given 5 star medical care. I can't thank this office enough for making me feel ok again. O' one more thing I almost left out, there is parking available, and this location is super easy to find. Well hope this helps. Have a nice day! read more

The front office staff is completely rude. The women treat you like they're annoyed that you're even calling the place. My wife doesn't even call there anymore because she's tired of dealing with them. Want to talk to your doctor? Too bad. Make an appointment.. talk about possible Covid spread when you can't even just talk to your "Supposed family doctor" by making a phone call that could probably get rid of an appointment. So much for small and local when they treat you like more of their payroll. My family will be switching from them. We're tired of dealing with their nasty attitude at the front desk and it's absolutely disgusting that we can't call and have our doctor either talk to us or call us back. Don't have the time of day for their patients unless you want to make an appointment with their terrible, attitude filled staff. My, now old, doctor was Courtney. read more

I just had a very bad experience with the front reception at this office and thought "should I put this on Yelp...people don't comment on doctors offices on Yelp do they?" Well they do and apparently I am not the only one that has this issue with this office staff. I first called to see if the Doc was accepting new people- the woman (in a not very nice way) said he was but only if our insurance was through my work...hmmm...sounds like profiling no? I then proceeded to tell her my insurance was through my work and she then ordered me (again, not very friendly) to call my insurance first to make sure Dr. Vance was on my insurance list - never has a doctors office reception asked ME to do THEIR job. But fine...I did it. Called back and got another, equally unfriendly woman, who said I could not make a physical exam but rather had to jump through all these other appointments (ca-ching) first before I could take my yearly physical. I finally just wished her a happy day and will go to another doctor. What a shame that people trying to see a doctor are put through such a bad experience. read more

My mother, who is now 90 years old, had seen Dr. Kennel for years. She liked him because she said he was so good looking. That's about all the positive I can say about Dr. David Kennel. Less than two years ago I took my mother in for an appointment because I thought she might have a urinary tract infection. I also wanted to talk to him about mom's memory loss. I tried to take him aside, but he blew me off like I was a piece of lint. He wasn't in the least interested in talking to me. He barely checked mom's vitals and sent us off to another clinic for a urine test. From that moment on I started calling him Dr. Quack. When mom's caregiver took her to see Dr. Quack, she said the exam was practically non-existent and had to ask him why he hadn't bothered to even take mom's blood pressure. In my opinion, Dr. Kennel is a self-centered, egotistical moron. He looks at you like you a bothersome child with a smug smirk as if saying he is so much better than you and why are you bothering him with such mundane concerns as memory loss and such. Fortunately, we found a much better medical provider and, once mom's records had been sent off, we've never looked back. With luck, he may be retired. However, if he's still practicing and you like being sneered at and looked down upon then Dr. Quack is the perfect match for you. Otherwise, patients beware! read more

Rude. Caustic. Toxic. Profoundly discourteous. I cannot comment on the doctor himself as we could not get past the extremely surly and very angry office staff. But if he is willing to allow such ladies to represent his office, I cannot have very high expectations. We cannot fathom why they feel compelled to verbally attack their patients or what it is that sets them off, but its very strange and surreal. You would honestly probably be better off going to a "doc in the box" or just dying of your ailments. At least you would not be subjected to their abuse. Good luck. read more

Very rude. They lose their patient prescription records and then accuse the patient of lying about taking their medication! I have never talked to two people so obviously consumed with their own inaptitude as these two callous lost souls. I should be impressed that they are even able to comprehend their opposable thumbs long enough to operate a receiver, but the joke's over when these two open their mouths and the floodgates of verbal diahrea ruin your day. read more

The front desk staff is INSUFFERABLE and makes Dr. Vance's entire experience as a great doctor miserable. They have attitude, do not like people asking questions about their policies, are curt if you take up more than ten seconds of their time (unless you're making an appointment and giving them money,) and they are incredibly disrespectful. I've never felt like I was a factory product in a doctor's office until visiting this office, being pushed through as quickly as possible like a huge inconvenience. I shake my head to the lack of professionalism, namely from Melissa, who made it clear that Dr. Vance has so many patients that customer service is not necessary and we can go somewhere else if we'd like. So, that's what my family of three will absolutely do. It's disgusting that people feel comfortable treating people like that who are under their care. Dr. Vance was cool, but his staff is HORRIBLE. Maybe he's too nice of a guy to actually hire people who promote his business in a positive way. I can't even believe he would put these people on his front line - it makes his practice look VERY bad. Rude? I'm not sure how it's even possible to be rude at a doctors office. Anyways, this place is awesome. So easy to work with and I'm always in and out in a very timely manner. Both DR. Vance and NPC Berger have a relaxed attitude that helps you forget where you are. It feels very casual at least to me. To echo the sentiments of others, the office staff are atrocious here. Rude, dismissive, and imperious. I was told by the NPC to call if I was experiencing X. I did, so I called. The first person was pleasant and promised to call back after speaking with the NPC. Six hours later, I called again as I wanted to address the issue before the holiday. The person who answered jeeringly asked "Well, to whom am I speaking?" before putting me on hold for a few minutes and then eventually saying they too would call back. Another hour. Finally, the call was returned. I was told I had to come in immediately. I asked why and the person on the phone described a set of symptoms I had never mentioned in any of our conversations. I repeated, for the third time, that I was simply trying to figure out if condition X was related to the prescription drug. The office woman demanded "Well who told you it could be?" in an imperious tone. I replied, "As I mentioned earlier, the NPC had told me this was a side effect and to call if this occurred." At that point I was told to "Take it down a notch!" for being too rude. I apologized and explained to the woman that I was using an entirely neutral tone and did not understand what she was upset over. She began berating me about calling. Wholly unpleasant. Rude! Our family of 3 were long time patients (about 12 years or longer) I initially left to seek out a more of a holistic approach, as Dr. Vance and nurses are big on the the catch all fixes (ie: birth control/anti-depressant for hormonal shifts, anti-inflammatory medication/steroid shots for injury, ~ you know the deal). It was a clean, respectful, departure. My husband on the other hand decided to keep him for a while (switching doctors can be hard). He went in for a spider bite and came out with an antibiotic (cringe) and today I received a call at work from Kathy, the head office staff. Now I will tell you, I have always had pleasant interactions personally, but have witnessed her bad mouthing other patients with fellow staff while in the waiting room, as well as being rude on the phone (whatever). Today however, she was very snarky with me. She informed me that she was charging us an extra $25. for having to put our claim through to a different insurance due to a misunderstanding she was sure was due to my husband's fault. When on the phone to me she was defensive and snarky from the beginning of our conversation, as if even having to clear this up was a huge inconvenient burden. When my husband called to clarify what the charge was for and she was instantly defensive, accusing him of giving her the wrong information. Naturally my husband became frustrated and he admits his voice raised in defense of her accusations and extra charges. She hung up on him twice while he was trying to ask for the fax # to send the needed info. I had to talk to Dr. Vance directly and while he did agree to remove the extra charge, he completely backed Kathy's behavior, even the behavior directed at me, and I was very professional and relaxed. It's a real bummer to see someone hate thier job so much as to lash out and take it out on others. I can see from the reviews here that this is not an isolated incident. read more

easy on the eyes? is that a valid point... this staff is so rude I cannot even explain it.. They cancel my appointments for being under 10 minutes late. Yes I understand late is not a good thing.. I called ahead to try and explain traffic, and that I had left in plenty of time trying to explain what I knew wasn't the best scenario.. All I got was rude complete ass&^&% behavior. And no willingness to try and fit me in. I had to argue with them just for them to re fill a blood pressure medication that I was completely out of, and was there to do follow up on.. I guess it must be nice to be a rich Dr. and tell people to beat it that make you miss your golf time. NEVER go here.. save yourself the aggravation, and possible medical issues from not fitting into their schedule I assume for golfing.. standing at the table there wasn't a patient listed on their time slots... Dr Vance's office staff runs the show they decide who can and can't Talk with Dr. I had see the PA. Debbie who is in his office. When I last seen her 12/10/2014 insurance did not pay until Feb 2015 my 96.00 bill my insurance covered 72.00 of it I received a 7.87 bill that went unpaid. For that reason I am no longer a patient I will be charged 25.00 more to become their patient again. Although the PA wrote a ordered for me a prescription for Advair a medicine to keep me breathing, It will not be sent to the pharmacy until I pay this 7.87 as well as 25.00 reinstatement fee. I will never go to this place again not because of the Dr. but office help that think they can control if someone is allowed to continue breathing or not I was told well maybe you should pay your bill next time the Dr. is not a charity provider he is in business and if your breathing is that bad maybe you should go to emergency.
