My Wife and I have recently relocated from Upstate NY to Salt Lake City Utah. When we began our transition to find a new home, the first order of business was finding a realtor. Through many searches and wading through mountains of online reviews we found David. I previously worked residential construction for 10 years, and David and I were on very closely on the same page, he was even able to point out things that I missed and explain things I had never seen before in NY. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a home on our first trip to SLC. This did not stop David, he continued to work diligently to find us the perfect home. A few days after our return to NY a listing came on the market and we called David. He Honestly dropped everything he was doing and drove to the house and took videos and face timed with us so we could get a better idea of the home, beyond what the listing photos provided. We decided to put an offer in on the house sight unseen, as we trusted David to not lead us wrong. My wife flew out a few days later to meet with David and view the house. In that time David had already set up all our inspections, as well helped facilitate all the financial aspects as well. My Wife loved the house!!! David did not Disappoint!!!! Over the next month David was a tremendous help assisting with the closing as we were still in NY. When it came time to close David was right by our side during that process as well. Now that we have been in our new home (That we could not be happier with) we are still in contact with David. He is truly an amazing realtor, who you can tell loves the city he lives in as well as loves his job. David Kevitch is the absolute best person you could have representing you in the home buying process. Being new to Salt Lake and first time home buyers, we weren't sure what to expect. We read these same reviews as you are now and decided to contact him - this was probably the second-smartest decision we made (we'll come back to that in a few minutes). By the next day we had spoken to David over the phone (thanks COVID-19) and laid out what we were looking for, our budget, timeline, etc. He listened to everything we had to say, never questioned what we wanted, and made it clear he would be working with us to find something we would be the best for us. To make a long story short, the inspection results gave us the confidence to walk away from the offer, and David's advice saved us literally tens of thousands of dollars. Two weeks later we found another property, fell in love with it, and David wrote another competitive, realistic offer for us. After some back and forth, David had successfully negotiated a sale price below the seller's asking price. A smooth and socially distanced closing meeting followed, and thanks to David's expertise and guidance, we had our first home. Let me start by saying, David is by far the best realtor I've worked with (So far I've sold twice and bought twice), and he will always put his client's future happiness with their house above just "getting them into a house." Besides being super knowledgeable about houses, very professional and responsive, and just being a cool guy, his goal is not to sell you a house, it's to get you into a house you will love for years to come, while also being a wise investment. I was trying to buy a house during a very difficult time in the market, and there were times that I was ready to settle due to fatigue, and David knew that was not really what I was looking for, and he kept me from settling because he knew he could eventually get me into the perfect house for me, which he did. Even if you are willing to buy a house, but David has an concerns about the house, he will always give it to you straight. David is more like a true house enthusiast/expert who happens to sell houses, than a realtor who has learned enough about houses to sell them. I honestly don't know where to begin. Dave has been so great to work with and become such a friend, I cannot say enough good about him. He came to me as a referral about 9 months ago when I was thinking about selling my home. He made an appointment to come by and introduce himself. I knew immediately he was at the top of his game. Dave is an expert in his field and a pleasure to work with for any first-time home buyers. I spent hours searching for a realtor for my specific needs and contemplated using mobile apps to bypass using a realtor. We hired David to help us find a new home when we decided to move from Houston to Salt Lake City area. The home I was selling was my mom & dad's (both deceased). It became complicated when I found out the title was listed in all of my siblings' names, three of which live out of state.
