She has taken, and continues to take terrific care of me That said, within this page, I came upon a woman who had some less than positive things (a couple of years ago) to say about Adriana at the front desk. I've been interacting with Adriana for a good portion of those 22 years, and contrary to what this other woman had to say, I've always found Adriana to be one of the kindest and most compassionate staffmembers in a medical office that I have ever come across. Whenever I need to see the doctor, I always look forward to seeing Adriana as part of the visit. I don't know what this other woman's experience was, but she certainly was not describing the Adriana that I have come to know.

Thirteen years ago I developed a number of symptoms after clearing a difficult respiratory…read moreinfection. These symptoms initially started as inflammatory/reactive arthritis of the hips, buttocks and thighs. But additional symptoms surfaced over 18 months to include fatigue, pre-fainting , pleurisy, illness, neurological problems and fainting. I worked with a number of Specialist who ruled out possible causes. Eventually Dr. Franco of the Arthritis Center of Riverside diagnosed Mycoplasma pneumoniae. I was successfully treated with long term and maintenance doses of antibiotics. The treatment was successful for 5 symptom free years. I developed a reinfection 5 years later but Dr. Franco was only partially able to reduce the symptoms which led me to seeking treatment from an Infectious Disease Specialist. I have had two visits with Dr. Milefchik. One visit in 2023 and March of 2026. In 2023 I provided my case study to Dr. Milefchik for review. I received a call from his staff advising he wanted to see me with an appointment set up 4 months later. During my visit Dr. Milefchik entered the room, stated he has seen some of Dr. Franco's patients in the past commenting they were a "little crazy". In the 15 minute visit he interpreted the Mycoplasma test results as inconclusive and a number of theories were presented including if I ever had an exposure to Covid (the case at that time was 10 years old and I never had Covid). As I addressed these theories one by one he finally stated he needed to follow the hippocratic oath of "do no harm" and provided no treatment. In my opinion Dr. Milefchik was uninformed about Mycoplasma. After a 16 month failed attempt to get a group of Specialist from UCLA to work together as a team to protect my overall health and treatment for Mycoplasma I needed to start from scratch to build a team of Specialists outside the UCLA network. In this process a Primary Specialist provided me a referral to Dr. Milefchik. In the three years since I had seen Dr. Milefchik additional facts were documented which strengthened my case. Upon my visit March of 2026 he initially stated he knew little about Mycoplasma. As I tried to discuss the facts of my case his interpretation made no sense to me. It is well documented that Mycoplasma IGG test results can indicate a past infection or active infection and the patients symptoms need to be considered. I ran the test over a 20 month period showing elevated IGG correlating to my flare up of symptoms of this disease. Yet Dr. Milefchik stated there was a number of reasons why my body would cause elevated Mycoplasma IGG, without giving me a specific example. He stated antibiotics can act as anti-inflammatory yet he failed to mention it can also act both as anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. And past testing revealed my inflammatory markers were low. Dr. Milefchik stated research 20 years ago on Mycoplasma did not result in identifying root cause of a number of symptoms thought to be caused by Mycoplasma. But when I informed him the CDC now recognizes a number of chronic symptoms linked to Mycoplasma he dismissed their findings. We never even discussed symptoms I have been suffering from. It became clear to me he has not educated himself on the latest Mycoplasma research and the seriousness of this disease. At the end of our visit he commentated a number of people have to live with pain for un-diagnosed illnesses and he didn't think I would get any Infectious Disease Specialist to support my case. My response was if these symptoms were intermittent I may be able to live with them. But the symptoms are chronic causing suffering and I would continue to seek support for my case. I decided to present my case to Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Labalo, who works in the same office. I received a call from his staff stating per policy Dr. Labalo can't see me as a patient because I was under the care of Dr. Milefchik. I pointed out Dr. Milefchik was ignorant of my case and was not providing any treatment. I was told their policy stands and a referral was given to me for Dr. Eric Daar. I reviewed Dr. Daar's qualifications. Per harborid.org "His research focuses on pathogenesis and treatment of acute and chronic HIV infection, management of complications of HIV infection, novel strategies for addressing engagement in HIV care, and developing strategies for prevention and treatment of COVID-19". I have neither HIV nor ever had Covid-19.

I didn't have to repeat myself, he remembered everything and made me feel seen/heard. He gave me so much to work with and it has turned my whole life around. My medication was at a low dosage for a long time because anything higher would upset my stomach. Dr. Pratty explained that a higher dosage will work more effective and he helped me get passed the side effects. Today, I feel the joy in life and I have a new mindset on how I will live it.

Wont remember your name in a crisis, wont get you help, but will tell u a gross personal story . Once dr posalski was so kind and smart and helpful and was a star -but now is acting old confused and angry. A new Young guy seems great and caring but too busy to follow up and its all an act . Sad state when you trust these physicians who dont give proper care and concern. Especially when they are the last stop for answers when very ill. Eighteen months…read morelater, after working with a number of Specialist to rule out possibilities for my symptoms, I received a diagnosis of Mycoplasma Pneumonia. Most people exposed to Mycoplasma Pneumonia clear the infection. In my case I was unable to clear the infection, which required long term/maintenance doses of antibiotics. After 5 symptom free years I had a relapse and over a 2 year period I only was able to partially clear the infection. I decided to find an Infectious Medicine Specialist who could effectively treat Mycoplasma infection. The CDC recognizes Mycoplasma as causing a number of serious complications. In my case it manifested itself as causing a severe reactive allergic response. I initially developed inflammatory arthritis of the hips thighs and buttocks. But as the infection was left untreated the symptoms progressed to chronic fatigue symptom, pleurisy, neurological problems and fainting. These complications may seem unrelated to a Specialist reviewing my case. However its important to understand as the bacterial load increases due to an infection that is not properly treated, the symptoms manifest themselves over time and increase in severity. And as my body tries to combat this infection my body weakens and I become prone to sinus and respiratory infections, in both the number and severity. This pattern has repeated itself over the course of my 13 year battle with this disease, due partly to the fact that Mycoplasma can be very difficult to completely clear. Its also a disease that is fairly common, so re-infection to the disease can occur. Once the Mycoplasma Pneumonia infection is treated properly the bacterial load is reduced or driven in remission, then all complications start to lessen eventually clearing, providing me a higher quality of life. Its unfortunate but the last few years trying to bring a team of competent Specialist to protect my overall health and treat this Mycoplasma infection has been a failure. I have never met any Specialist in my 13 year old battle of this Mycoplasma case who fully understands this disease. This has resulted in a negative impact on my health, especially over the last 2 1/2 years. Upon my initial visit with Dr. Huynh it was important for him to understand my Mycoplasma illness and how this disease can increase my exposure to respiratory illness, especially due to my past history of sinus and respiratory infections. I needed his support to address any respiratory infections I may have in the future. I also have had periodic asthma attacks over the last 30 years requiring asthma medicine albuteral, as needed. But after respiratory testing was completed by him and review of my case I received a call from a staff member that his conclusion was I don't have asthma and I needed to consult an allergist to address my other symptoms. I have had extensive allergy testing in the past. This diagnosis is a complete disconnect from my health history and current health problems. Mycoplasma Pneumonia test results over time: Per Quest Diagnostics; Interpretive criteria: 0.90 Negative 0.91-1.09 Equivocal 1.10 Positive A positive IgG antibody result indicates that the patient has antibody to Mycoplasma. It does not differentiate between an active or past infection. The clinical diagnosis must be interpreted in conjunction with the clinical signs and symptoms of the patient. Interpretive criteria: 770 U/mL Negative 770-950 U/mL Low positive 950 U/mL Positive A positive IgM antibody result is consistent with recent infection. However, a negative result does not necessarily rule out recent infection as some individuals may not mount another IgM response, if previously infected.

SMH I wouldn't recommend this office if their front staff acts this way before you even get an appointment, zero compassion, common courtesy, and not helpful at all. It's now 10:30am and I'm still waiting to be seen. 10:35am and I'm called! Uneventful visit, not worth the wait. Now food for thought. Medial (and other groups for that matter) are increasingly advertizing a fee to cancel at last minute. Opposite to that, should there be a "rebate" if you are not seen in a timely fashion? Think back in college... The 15 minute rule. If the professor didn't arrive in 15 minutes of scheduled start the class would be dismissed. I'm thinking along these lines for the medical field and I'm not talking a supply of samples or coupons, I'm talking cold hard cash! Ah, who am I kidding. This will never happen, much like my chances of coming back to this office.
