I got a call from Dominic Fiore who was a very nice young man. He was patient and explained clearly…read morewhat my possible options were. He wasn't pushy and I felt like he genuinely wanted to help me. Since it was no money out of my pocket, I, of course, moved forward. Unfortunately I was unable to refi with him at this time but I will definitely be calling him back specifically to help me when my situation changes.

Absolutely the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a service-based company. After…read moreworking with the company to get information on what they do and what services they provide, the first salesman had lied to me and told me that they were "contracted by the VA" to do the work they were doing. After dealing with this conundrum, I looked them up on LinkedIn. You would think their posts would be about helping veterans if that is what they trully cared about, but no. All of their posts are glazing their salesmen and celebrating their "top producers". Feel free to see for yourself: https://www.linkedin.com/company/mvpfunding After denying his future calls due to the dishonestly, that salesman's manager called to admit the lie and offered to work with me personally. I told him I wasn't interested at that exact moment, and was still badgered with calls. They would call during times I was not available, and when respectfully telling him that, he still pushed over the phone and would ignore my protest and roll into an unsolicited sales pitch under the guide of "helping me". I finally had to get stern and tell them they will be contacted when I am ready. Weeks later, I get ANOTHER call with the same tactics. They called during a busy time at work, and I mentioned I had no time to talk. The salesman pushed, demanded I set up a time with them to talk and went into a spiel about them being so eager to "help me" understand my benefits. I had to get extremely stern again and tell him I fully understand, and I will not be forced into their demands and would call them if I MYSELF decided to. The salesman got rude, told me I didn't have to "waste my words" and cut the call. The worst bout of children masquerading as salesmen I have ever had to deal with. I never write reviews, but after my experience, I had to. These guys see you (the veteran) as nothing more than a sale. A dollar sign. Nothing more.

I used Barrett to get a mortgage for my first home. Vance McKim was my loan officer and he was…read moreextremely helpful. He helped me get prequalified very quickly and walked me through each step since it was my first time applying for a mortgage. Vance was able to find me a mortgage with interest rate of 3.0% which is much better than I was expecting. Once I had found a home, Vance also kept me informed about what was happening with the finances at each step of the home buying process and would call to walk me through the paperwork with each new step in the process. He definitely made the home buying process much easier and I would recommend him to anyone looking to finance a home!

Sorry Alexandra H. it is the same company...just different division. Make sure to read the full review!!! After renting from this company for eight years, I cannot recommend them to anyone. Our move-out experience was the culmination of years of poor communication, unprofessional interactions, and what we believe to be unfair business practices. We paid our rent on time every month, had professional cleaners in our home every two weeks, maintained the property, and were respectful neighbors. We treated the house as if it were our own. The problem came during the move-out inspection. When we moved into the home in 2018, we rented it sight unseen. Upon arrival, we found the property in far worse condition than expected. Thankfully, we thoroughly documented every issue on the official move-in inspection, including unpainted drywall repairs throughout the house, worn and stained carpets, damaged cabinets, missing light bulbs, broken fixtures, missing door stops, and other pre-existing deficiencies. Despite having all of this documented, we were later charged for many of those exact same items when we moved out. We were billed for painting over spackled walls that existed before we moved in, replacing light bulbs and fixtures that were already missing or broken, removing a satellite dish that was already attached to the house and never used by us, and even carpet cleaning when the carpets themselves were stained when we took possession. The most frustrating part is that these weren't subjective disagreements--they were documented on the company's own move-in inspection paperwork. Yet those records appeared to be ignored when it came time to determine what we owed. After eight years as reliable tenants, that was incredibly disappointing. Attempts to discuss these issues with management were equally frustrating. Rather than taking the time to review the documentation or address our concerns, we have not been able to speak to anyone and was told it had to be in writing...which we did but no reply. A company that values its customers should be willing to review the evidence before charging former tenants for pre-existing conditions. Not only the office manager Christie Pettiti (a completely horrific person to deal with who has NO communication skills) but even the Broker himself Michael Smith has not acknowledged or replied to my email asking for help understanding why the charges are happening even though ALL was documented on the move-in form. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. If a tenant who lived in a home for eight years, paid rent on time every month, maintained the property, and carefully documented the condition at move-in can still end up disputing charges for pre-existing issues, it raises serious concerns about the fairness of their move-out process. Now I am pursuing this in small claims court because renters have rights and good businesses shouldn't treat people the way that these people do. There are plenty of property management companies that value long-term tenants and conduct move-out inspections fairly. Unfortunately, this was not our experience. We left feeling that our documentation, our loyalty, and the care we took of the home meant very little. I would strongly encourage anyone considering renting through this company to look elsewhere. Don't just believe me....read other reviews and you will see that the office manager is mentioned multiple times as having no social skills and being completely unprofessional by doing things like hanging up on renters, keeping security deposits, and not making repairs within a reasonable timeframe. One time I asked her why she was yelling at a customer and she quickly told me that I was NOT her customer. That's right Christie...now I'm not and I couldn't be happier. Stay away from these people!!!
