Buyer beware. Terrible company. I'd give no stars if I could. Like many have said they never returned my calls or my doctors calls trying to collect for medical expenses. In the end, Khom and Associates collected the bulk of the money from my insurance company and left me with with a few hundred dollars and a large medical bill that they didn't pay from the money they received from my insurance company. I found out that I had the medical bill after they gave me a few hundred dollars from my insurance company. I was much too trusting thinking the the lawyer was working on my behalf. Their a business out to make money even if it's at your expense. In my opinion, what they did was shady and I was scammed. hope I never have to use another lawyer. I would have been better off without one. Don't believe for a second they won't get paid if you don't get paid. The devil is in the details. Lesson learned! read more

If I could give minus points, I would! Do NOT use this firm!! I was in a horrific auto wreck (hit from behind by a DUI at 100 mph). David Kohm was all over it until I signed his agreement and then never heard from them, unless I called their office. They only go after the low hanging fruit (insurance company) which I could have done on my own! The agreement was for his firm to take 33% of any settlement. NOW they tell me that they will take 33% off the top and I am responsible for all expenses and medical out of my portion!! I'm not one to leave bad reviews unless I have an absolute train wreck of an experience. That's what happened today. I had a free consult and spoke to one of the investigators at my home, which was convenient and nice, I will admit. But as soon as we sat down, it all went down the drain. The first thing the investigator does is say "We're gonna set you up with physical therapy." Slow down, I haven't discussed my injuries yet. Mind you, I live with a chiropractor, and he spoke up about it, asking why that was necessary. The investigator proceeded to say that my health is the priority, etc. which I get and agree with. But then he wouldn't let the topic go, and it got tense. "I'm just an investigator, this is what I'm trained to say. Let me get David on the phone." So he called David Kohm. David gets on the phone, speaks with my roommate, and his tone is switching between bored and aggressive. The call concludes. At this point it's like 15 minutes into the consult and all I've been able to say is my name and what happened during the accident. I try to get the investigator and my roommate to table this topic and move on to my other concerns. The investigator interrupts me and then returns to the topic of physical therapy, this time going so far as to say that PTs can order MRIs (100% false, PTs are not doctors) and that PTs and chiropractors are the same. So David is on the phone again, talking directly to me this time; Greg talks over him, David quiets him like he's scolding a child, then he interrupts me. When I asked him questions about payment and how much of the settlement he would get, he avoided it like the plague. Never answered my questions. Investigator knows the whole consult went to crap, you can see it in his face. David probably knows it too. Avoid. Seriously. I don't think I've ever had such an unprofessional encounter. read more

I honestly wish I had read these reviews back in 2018 when my accident first occured. It would have saved me levels of frustration, time and energy. I was the last car in a 3 car accident where I was rear ended. Negotiations were so bad that the attorney stated after medical bills, attorney fees, I may walk away with $500 which doesn't even cover my lost wages for the time out of work. It's like pulling teeth to get someone to return a call, provide updates and take accountability or ownership of progress. Toay is 1/23/2023 and I am still waiting to get an update to the status of the case. Last week, I called twice a day Tuesday- Friday and left a message yet no one has called me back. This has been the worse attorney experience I have ever had in my life. Not only will I never use this firm again, I will encourage everyone I know to avoid this firm at all cost. I can not believe how this firm can still be in operation with such poor service. I have not had anyone apologize for ignored messages, phone calls or mere neglegence and carelessness of my case. I often wonder if I could hire another attorney to review the case details and firm practices for malpractice. It's worth looking into for sure. Hadn't reviewed my case, didn't review any of the evidence prior to our trial, was literally highlighting and writing exhibit number on documents while we were in front of the judge, barely said anything, all the while I have paid thousands of dollars for them to represent me. I had even previously emailed her outlining some things to present in court and of course none of that was done. If I could give them zero stars I would, they literally stole my money. read more

FOR THE ATTENTION OF MR DAVID KOHM: I have restrained myself from writing a review because I don't want to add to the negative review the firm already have, the one star I gave was just for me to be able to post this review, but it became obvious that the staff are doing this on purpose. First of all, my file was left unattended to for over 2 years MVA of 2016 prior COVID, by far the worst experience in my life. They don't give updates, I called several times to get update on my file it's always "oh she is on phone with a client, she is not in the office, leave a call back number NEVER will you get a call back, return emails, they don't follow up, they don't care the least bit about clients. During our settlement meeting, of May 20, 2022 one of the lawyers discriminated against me and actually made me feel as if I was of low priority when he said " It's also going to be a problem because you are not from the U.S. , the Jury are not going to have same accent like you have and that will play a major part on your case decision, we find that people with accent like you typically don't do well in Tarrant County........"Then it dawn on me that I have made the biggest mistake in letting this law firm handle my case. I regret this. 6 months after settlement, I am still having to follow up and beg them to find out status update on my file, 2 weeks ago not until I showed my frustration and insisted to talk to David Khom, before I was transferred to Katrine she promised to give me a call back , she never did I had to call the following day and spoke with Maria, she schedule to call me on 10/10/2022 she did not and when I called . Elsa picked the call, and it was the normal response "she is not in the office can she give you a call back" I said yes and waited for her to call back, she never did, then I called back at 4:30 got the same answer and I insisted to talk to David Kohm before Maria who they already told me that she was not available now became available. If my color or accent is the problem, why did you take up my case. I demand an apology for being discriminated against, the derogatory language and unfair treatment by your law firm. I have requested to speak with Mr kohm but they are blocking me from speaking with him, the same person that spoke with me to take up the case now become inaccessible. read more

Despite the defendant admitting they were the ones at fault, Kohm and his team failed to secure a settlement where I wouldn't still be left with medical bills. The worse decision I made after my accident was to hire David Kohm and Associates. This has to be the most incompetent "law firm" They were quick to come to my place of employment to get me to sign the paperwork but after that I had to follow up with them every single time, it took my case over 3 years to settle. I signed my release of judgment on May 23rd, 2018 as of today I have not received my check. All I have received is dumb excuses and empty apologies, how hard is it to put a check in mail? I was side swiped by a commercial truck last May. The driver provided the police and myself with false insurance documents. Which the law firm found out 5 MONTHS after my accident. I sent emails, and the response time is absolutely ridiculous.. in August 2021 they finally asked me for pics of my vehicle and that they were sending out a demand letter. I immediately emailed them back asking them not to, and I was dropping them from my case.. Then I FINALLY got a call. In September I sent a email asking for a update on my case?? Of course NO RESPONSE BECAUSE MY CASE WAS NOT A PRIORITY!! I hired a private investigator and sent over all the documents about the trucking company and the driver just to get a email back saying they had thee information that I provided. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO COMMUNICATE THAT WITH ME?!?! Progressive mailed me a letter about my claim.. Something else I had to find out on my own that they didn't communicate with me. AWFUL AND NASTY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I sent a email in NOVEMBER and still NO RESPONSE. SO I CALLED THEM LAST WEEK DROPPING THEM FROM MY CASE AGAIN... AND ASKED IF THEY COULD SEND OVER MY FILE. MYSTI, TOLD ME TO SEND AN EMAIL ASKING FOR IT, SO I DID. ALMOST A WEEK LATER STILL NOTHING. SMH BUT THEY HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO REACH OUT TO PROGRESSIVE TO LET THEM KNOW TO CLOSE MY CLAIM. DO NOT use this office!!!! I began payment for bankruptcy and for family matters decided not to use them. I was $400 shy of their $2,600 charges when I made this decision. I did not submit any paperwork to be filed with the courts or anything. The only thing they did for me was meet with me twice and answer some phone calls from collectors. After 3 months of trying to get an answer from them on how much money is to be refunded to me, an attorney from their firm says I will not be refunded anything. The worse decision I made after my accident was to hire David Kohm and Associates. This incompetent "law firm" lost my case. In the worst case of luck in my life thus far, I had two accidents about a month apart. I was hurt in one, so I was pressured into hiring David Kohm & Associates by a chiropractor I went to see. The guy who came to sign me up with David Associates assured me that they would get the offending party to pay for my medical care since I aas rearended. He assured me that it would be a slam dunk case. Long story short, this lazy and incompetent team lost my case. The other part simply said that they didn't rearend me. Apparently, I was stopped at a red light and the offending party said I backed up (mind you I had a child in the car). Who backs up in the street during rush hour traffic? It makes no sense! I decided to deal directly with the other case myself because I was not hurt. I only had property damage. It was not easy. It took LOTS of phone calls, emails, following up and LOTS of advocacy for myself and my assertions about the accident. But, when it was all said and done, I won the case and got my repairs handled by the offending party. So, the case that I handled myself, I won. The case I naively handed off the David Kohm and associates, I lost. The staff always had lame excuses for not following up. After the offending party made their statement against me, David's staff did NO advocacy for me. They did not inform me of their decision to fold and file a claim on my insurance. They lied up until I backed them into a corner and forced them to divulge what was going on in my case. They treated me like I was iliterate and uneducated. They treated me like I was not owed answers or deserved the right to be kept abreast of my case. They had me waste a lot of time. I was supposed to do a recorded statement. The case manager assigned to me magically could never reach the insurance company, however, I had absolutely no problem getting the adjuster on the phone. The MAJOR mistake that I made was hiring these bubbling fools. After hiring them, the insurance company would not work directly with me to get the ball rolling. I was forced on them to do their jobs, which they did not do. I have requested a copy of my file over 10 times. My last interaction with the office I was told it would be mailed. So, I know you're wondering. Do I have a copy of my files? Hell to the no. This lying, lazy and incompetent staff never sent me the information in my own file. I don't know HOW this guy's license to practice law hasn't been revoked. He's out here really doing shady business. I sincerely regret hiring this firm. It was a royal waste of time, energy and I lost a case that I was honestly not in the wrong for. Lucky for the person who hit me, I was naive enough to hire an incompetent firm and LOST the case. In reviewing the few positive reviews of this firm, it's quite obvious that they are paid posts. It's obvious that the negative reviews are honest former clients explaining how this incompetent firm messed up their life. If you want to lose big, hire these fools. read more

I will write a long version to the BBB, but for now I wanted to say that after 3 years of waiting for something to happen, I'm over it. They have admitted to forgetting about my case. Not enough money in it for them....See, they got all they could out of my Insurance company & settled with the insurance company who insured the truck that hit me. The Chiropractor/Therapist got his money from my insurance company but i never saw a dime & don't think i ever will. This was a simple open & shut case which should have been closed but I am still waiting. I didn't even know they had been paid in 2016 until I got fed up & called my Insurance Company to find out what the hold up was. The attorney's office doesn't respond well & when they did, I was apologized to & informed that it was their bad for basically dropping the ball on my case (they had already been paid for over a year at this time) but that they would get right on it and get me a check sent out within the next couple of weeks. That was in June 2018...it's October. So here we go again! I'm still contacting them but they haven't responded yet. I'll try again next week. Just so you know, i have never spoken to or met my attorney. I will never use this company again. of course i hope to never have to use ANY attorney again! read more

The only time they seemed to care was when they showed up to my door to sign paper work (basically the agreement form of how much they will obtain from my case). Other than that they never communicated.. had to constantly call and leave messages. I was in a car accident .. the girl who hit me had not been served because "they could not find her" ..
