Despite taking care of my teeth regularly, I hadn't seen a dentist since moving back to the area in 2018 due to lack of dental insurance. The practice didn't have any of my dental history, so it only made sense that that they would need to do full x-rays, which was really thorough using quite advanced technology. The x-rays even appeared on a TV screen during my cleaning for assessment by an amazing dental hygienist, Brittany, who performed my cleaning on the level of a spa treatment (it seriously felt amazing). I then met the wonderful Dr. Jessica Brown who reviewed the cleaning as well as my x-rays and asked me some questions about whether my gum recession caused me any issues (80's child scrubber here) and even empathized that she deals with the same issue and recommended Sensodyne if it ever gives me a problem. Everyone was extremely friendly and knowledgable, and the conversation was fun and enjoyable. For full x-rays and a cleaning my dentist submitted a $252 claim to my insurance which covered everything except for $100; this was expected based on the provider being out-of-network and doing my research before my visit. I chose this place due to its close proximity to where I live and the positive word-of-mouth reviews from other Evansville residents, and I couldn't be happier. Don't believe the haters, this place is amazing with even more advanced technology than my previous dentist in Washington, DC. It's like spa day for your mouth, you won't regret it.

This due to billing, the outsourcing of the call center, and not being able to speak to someone in the office. Talking to an actual billing person is near impossible. Every time I am in the office there is always a new charge for something. I have also found in my EOB's that there are charges that aren't even covered with my insurance or the services have been entered incorrectly. I recently learned that if enrolled in the Medicare Savings Program, premiums and a $286 deductible are covered, but I missed this information and have been paying co-pays. Dr. Malek's office, which employs offshore staff, lacks nurses and medical assistants, focusing instead on collecting payments. Medicare has been double-billed, and I was pressured to pay $25 to leave after questioning my bill. Dr. Malek called me, leaving a voicemail about a $25 monthly payment plan, and later dismissed me via Facebook Messenger, demanding $275 I don't owe. This platform is unsecured for health information, and his actions constitute patient abandonment. Dr. Malek has threatened legal action and verbally abused me over unpaid bills. I have evidence to support my claims and have reported the issue to Medicare, the Attorney General's office, and the licensing office. I've retained an attorney and plan to share evidence with them. When i finally called her on this obtrusive behavior, she dropped me and blacklisted me as "non-compliant." Because of this one word being in my record, i could not get any doctor in town to take me on and as a result could get none of my medication refilled. I am a severe asthmatic on twelve medications and was hospitalized three times over two years before finally getting a physician. I believe that because of that one impetuous word, she knew full well that she was sentencing me to death because i dared to defy her. I barely survived and i feel that she abused her power in a reckless and vindictive manner.
