The OR staff was kind and patient with me during the short time I was awake. Post op, it took a while to get into a room. The updates to my support person were somewhat lacking. I know the hospital "isn't a place for rest," but clustered care should be a priority. As an example, 0030 vitals with a 0145 routine lab draw followed by an hour wait for Tylenol on a fresh post-op patient is not ideal. It was also at that time that my RN noticed the BP taken several hours earlier was low and needed to be rechecked. My provider had stated in a pre-op appt. that he would be the one to see me if I had surgery at RMC. His NP, whom I had never met, was the only provider I saw during my stay. She was very kind and provided me with options for my care. I wish I had known prior that plans had changed. After deciding I preferred to go home instead of staying an additional night for pain control, my discharge was rushed. Passing a patient off to a "discharge lounge" and having them provide less than 5 min of general education, without a support person present, is not beneficial to the patient. My discharge instructions also did not have any info on my potential high-risk post op complications. The staff as a whole were kind and seemed to be caring. The housekeeper did a great job cleaning up my room. Dietary came in and patiently went over options with me. The PCT's and RN's worked very hard to provide quality care when able and available. The charge RN who rounded on me was also pleasant. I am lucky to have medical knowledge and a list of HCW I can call with questions. If you must be inpatient, I recommend having a family member present at all times to prevent some of these issues.

I had shitty day nurses 2 days in a row. I asked to have the menu adjusted because im diabetic and…read morethe menus are carb heavy. They failed to answer call button after 4 attempts i pressed onemore time and got out of bed. Angry nurse asked why I didnt call...then informed me the turned off the nurse call on the bed. If I had been greeted in the first 2 hours after arriving on the floor. That might have been found. I had anal leakage in the bed but I was in so much pain after falling down and tearing up new surgery shoulder, I didn't know. Nurse didn't look and I slept in feces until I pointed it out. at which point they did not change the bedding just the chuck pad. An hour later, I found feces on my pillow and asked for a bed change. 4 hours later shift change-new nurse changed the sheets. That was only day one!

I've been a patient of this medical group for many years and can say that I've been satisfied with…read morethe level of care that I have received. My situation is this; I had a standing six month long appointment to see my primary care physician, I received a call from his office, spoke to his nurse or a scheduler stating my appointment would be cancelled for the next day due to bad weather. She gave me a new date 3 weeks from my original date. I immediately began receiving text and emails saying that I needed to schedule an appointment with my PCP. Since I had been given a new date I called to see why I was receiving rescheduling text and emails. My PCP's nurse returned my call she was very rude and condescending and spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner. I will pursue this issue further.

I filled out two forms…read moreregarding my mental health status (results indicated moderate severe depression) and nothing was ever mentioned in the least about them in my appointment with my doctor. I mentioned other things that were bothering me physically and those issues were barely glossed over. Instead of uping my medication or prescribing me something that could help, all that I was told were things that I should and shouldn't do. The office staff sent me to the wrong waiting room and I truly believe that I was overcharged for my visit. The office staff thought that I was a new patient and I have been going there to the office on Holmes Road for years and have seen the same doctor for years. I left there feeling not good about my visit. Really the only reason that I went to my appointment was so my current medications for urinary issues could continue to be refilled automatically at my pharmacy. Definitely NOT one of my better visits to my doctors office.
