Light Dental Studios offers online scheduling and I've even been able to call and get same day appointments. This has made it so I'm able to choose a date/time when I know my kid will be awake. I'm shown in advance what insurance will cover and how much I can be expected to pay for each visit. They also recommended I get a deep cleaning, although I had one within the last year and my insurance only covers them every 3 years. I was hesitant to continue going here after I found out Dr. Hahn left the practice, but I called to make an appointment for my regular checkup and they refused to do it unless I scheduled the deep cleaning (which I won't do until I can get it covered - it's over $400 per quadrant out of pocket). When Dr. Hahn, and Jordan (the hygienist) were there, they had no problem doing my regular x-rays and cleaning a couple times a year until I was eligible for the deep cleaning. It seems that with both of them gone, I would have to pay for an expensive treatment that is not necessary more than every few years just to be seen. I'm starting to understand why the best people left the practice. The customer service is awful and they do not try to make you feel comfortable. I'm quite sure I will find better care elsewhere in the Seattle area.

The surgeon was very attuned to my pain and the procedure went by so quickly, I was shocked--in a good way because I expected it to be longer and more painful (I had two teeth removed). He was available for check ups when I did experience pain which is huge if you've ever tried to heal from a wisdom tooth extraction. The dentist on staff are very kind and informative. They asked about some of my concerns, drafted a treatment plan and walked me through it step by step, identifying the areas of need and what the next steps we needed to take to address different issues. I scheduled a cleaning today and shout out to the dental hygienist, (Gabby, I believe)! She was amazing! She very welcoming and considerate of my pain threshold but also reassuring and caring. I also appreciate that the front desk staff are professional and very helpful especially with scheduling and insurance--researching what procedures are covered and the price points. I never feel like this office is overcharging or trying to price gouge. Ive been to other places in the past where procedures are pricey and questionable but I genuinely trust that this office has my health and best interest in mind when it comes to the treatment plan.
