I am a senior and all alone so.....Who do you believe or trust these days....not sure our medical system is in a sad state of affairs.

Frustrating Parking Experience at Montefiore 1250 Waters Place…read more Montefiore Hospital at 1250 Waters Place seriously needs to improve its parking system for patients. The hospital has two towers, but even though they are part of the same facility, the parking validation doesn't work across both. If you park in Tower 2 and your appointment is in Tower 1, you won't get your parking validated--even though it's the same hospital. To make matters worse, by the time you figure this out and try to move your car, you only have a 15-minute grace period. That's not nearly enough time, especially when navigating multiple floors using two different elevators just to get to an appointment on the 11th floor. There is no direct elevator that goes all the way up, which adds unnecessary delays and stress. In the end, you can end up being charged $19 just because you parked in the "wrong" tower. It's completely unreasonable and makes the entire experience frustrating for patients who are already dealing with medical appointments. Montefiore needs to seriously rethink this process and make it more patient-friendly.

Her knowledge is encyclopedic. She is very impressive and very smart. Equally important she is unbelievably nice and a great listener. She asks probing questions about your personal life style and activities to tailor her treatment plan to your individual needs. She is patient and thoughtful and unlike many docs who would rush to surgery. I think she is TERRIFIC in every way and I highly recommend her. He is a highly valued person with the look of hope that things will get better. The clinic is very welcoming. It clean and well kept. The x-ray room is comfortable. Service is quick, professional and caring. The Paperwork is done efficiently to make sure you get what you need to complete your examination. No questions unanswered. Everything is explained. When you leave you feel this is a place I want to come back to because I am getting great care.

Other PT places I've succumbed to have been marked by tension in the air because the friendliness is superficial, the smiles glued on. Or the young PT staff gave me an exercise with a number of repetitions and then huddled in the corner to talk sports and their recent weekend frolics. Not so here: I feel an improvement and where I used to go home feeling depleted and pessimistic, I walk out of RSPT feeling stronger and hopeful. And aside from the congenial atmosphere, the exercises I've been asked (very sweetly) to do make sense. I don't see other patients given identical routines: the place is more like a cheerful gathering of neighbors (for a common purpose) than a factory. I can't recommend them highly enough! ==================================================== An update. Tomorrow is my last visit of 2025, because Medicare will only cover 28 visits in a twelve-month period. My enthusiasm for this practice and the people in it has only increased. The atmosphere is friendly without artifice, not the professional friendliness of people who would really rather you go away so they can continue chatting about last night's sports event. You might not notice it if you knew me six months ago, but I feel stronger and more mobile. This is not, I assure you, because I religiously do the exercises at home. (Long pause here.) But it is because the people I work with, especially Francy, Melissa, now and again Alex, Hannah, and Annabelle, have understood what exercises might help me and have guided me through them. The pleasantness begins at the front desk: Arlinda, Madeline, Michael -- all genuinely solicitous and humane. I think they understand that people come to PT with a certain amount of pain, impairment, and the accompanying embarrassment. Because of the gentle-spirited, light-hearted owner, Alex Sherman, the feeling of uncritical welcoming acceptance is felt all through the practice. I am sad to leave -- it feels like the last day of summer camp -- but I hope to be back in 2026.

dr kamara was extremely rude. he did not believe me when I told him I had a lot of pain in my knee…read more he looked at me knee and at my age (20s) and stated "I was fine." It took so much out of me to convince him I was in pain until he finally did a basic assessment. He then realized I was telling the truth when he said he felt swelling inside my knee. Then, he ordered an MRI, which NEVER HAPPENED because no one ever called my insurance to get "approval," even after a whole week. I went to a different doctor who took my pain seriously, and I got an MRI right away! Turns out I do have a ligament tear and this uncaring, irresponsible, negligent doctor was a joke and waste of my time.

My fracture is not common and many doctors would not see me. I had sent my x-rays to his office at Restoration Orthopaedics, and was called the next day to come in for a consultation. Dr. Allert spent so much time explaining what was needed to get my elbow stable! He even drew pictures of the joint. I was scheduled for surgery 3 days later. He operated on my elbow in Hackensack Hospital and replaced my radial head with a titanium joint. My recovery was without pain. Dr. Allert is not only an accomplished surgeon, but he is compassionate and empathetic. He immediately put me at ease! I am now 8 weeks post-op and I have been seen every 2-4 weeks to monitor my progress. I have no restrictions with mobility at this point. I am so grateful to Dr. Allert! I would give him a million stars if I could!

She's supposed to be the professional but forgot to let me know about this ? is she as good as she says if she left that whole part put when she could've told me earlier but now I'm dealing with insane back in hip pain, which could've been all avoiided is she knew but she didn't. She's not that great of a doctor.
