my biggest wedding regret was getting my dress from this David's bridal location. I'm glad I went with David's bridal, but I wish I went with absolutely any other location no matter how far of a drive. Trying on the dresses was miserable, the lady was rude and no help, told me I was looking at the wrong dresses, but wouldn't tell me where the right ones were. Didn't ask what I was looking for or help pick out a single dress. Also didn't let me try on other veils when I said I wasn't happy with the one she gave me, she insisted it was "made for the dress" which I didn't want either, but when I said I liked the other dress more she insisted I "looked happier" in the other one. Alterations weren't ready on time, my wedding is this weekend and my dress still isn't ready. All around the worst experience I could ask for. I've never seen or experienced service this horrible in my life. There is a woman in her older years working here and she's got some of the worst manners. No eye contact, dismissive, and told me to google it when I asked if she had any suggestions on dresses for bigger chests. I have worked customer service/retail for the last 8 years and couldn't imagine treating another person like that. I walked into David's Bridal hoping for a positive, memorable experience while shopping for my dress--but unfortunately, that's not what I got. As soon as I asked about clearance options, the front desk clerk immediately asked if I would need to try anything on, which felt like an unnecessary and assumptive question. While I didn't notice it at first, my grandmother observed a few employees making unpleasant facial expressions toward one another, which made her uncomfortable and pushed us to leave. The energy was unwelcoming and honestly left a bad taste in my mouth. After reading other reviews, I see this type of experience sadly isn't unique to me. David's Bridal should do better--especially when serving brides of all sizes who deserve to feel celebrated, not judged. read more

Walked in the doors and the employee at the podium asked what she could help with and we simply were going to just look and when we informed the employee of our intent to simply look she insisted on asking further questions. We kept walking in the direction of the dresses on the wall and the employee chased us and scolded us to not look at the bagged dresses because an appointment was required. I brought my daughter in yesterday to look for a graduation dress. The entire experience and staff was amazing. They have an organized, nice selection. We were greeted upon arrival, was not over crowded as we were browsing but always knew assisitance was there if needed. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my daughter had a memorable experience and got the look she was wanting. Prices on selections are always reasonable and they regularly have mark downs. read more

We left David's Bridal completely upset and discouraged. I was floored at how Tammy could put such a negative mood on such a happy day. For 25% of the allotted time, the bride was at a standstill and not able to try on a dress because they had not pulled the dress in her size. In order to adhere to strict time limit of an hour, someone should have pulled the dresses while caroline assisted the bride. Caroline was our stylist, and she was so kind. She was as helpful as possible for someone who started only 3 months ago. Tammy and the rest of the employees were completely unwelcoming and unhelpful. From the moment we walked in, we were met with a coldness and unfriendly attitude. Tammy was rude to our entire party. I was flabbergasted at how she was speaking to us. When any member of our group would go to browse, Tammy would approach and almost try to reprimand them. "It would be a shame if she fell in love with a dress and wasn't able to try it on" and would constantly remind us of the time down to the minute. No one in the place ever asked to help us or provide dress recommendations based on what the bride liked. I would never recommend anyone to visit this store! read more

The experience for a brides first time trying on a wedding dress was absolutely horrible, we weren't even able to pick out dresses to fit her style or wants, at that point she had never even tried on a wedding dress, so she had no idea what she was even interested in at that point. The lady we met with upon arrival told us not to touch anything and throughout our hour long appointment watched us like we were criminals. The day before I visited the David's Bridal in Madison Mississippi with my bestfriend who is also about to get married at the end of this month and that experience was completely different! We actually said yes to the dress there and were treated with respect and were able to assist with finding the perfect dress, she took the time to get to know the Bride and she actually was the one to find the perfect match! This location is a joke, be more like Jaslyn at the Madison MS location and maybe the brides will have an unforgettable experience, because the experience we got was absolutely traumatizing for this bride and all of us with her. read more

Awesome service and selection! We went to 2 places on our bridal dress shopping day in Lafayette, LA. One was fancier but we were not served nearly as well as at David's. Yes, they were crowded but that's because they can deliver! KENNEDI was wonderful! She took my daughter's ideas and found dresses on her own that matched my daughter's style. Kennedi's authenticity and desire to help find the dress of dreams was so appreciated. David's Bridal is lucky to have her and so were we!! We found the dress and it was one Kennedi had pulled on her own! It was the 2nd dress my daughter tried on! I recommend David's so much and Kennedi! Quality and decent prices also helped! I went once in November and go back this December. First experience was great. Brandi assisted me and was as sweet as can be! I hope I pair up with her again. The downfall is the lack of selection of dresses. They had one I liked in the store but it was the wrong color. I wanted champagne but wasn't able to try it on. They told me id have to buy the dress in champagne color without trying it on. Lets just say, I didn't take that gamble. As far as service, they were super sweet and helpful. read more

Horrible customer service, they told my fiance alterations were included in the overall price, then once she got there they tried to add another $500 for alterations. She also cut herself and bled all over my fiance's white dress. She continued to be disrespectful and super unprofessional when we pointed out that she bled on the dress. Asked to talk to someone higher than her and she refused to call anyone. If there was a zero star I would definelty think this store would fall under that category. After hearing other reviews it looks like we are not the only ones experiencing this with this store. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! I have been disappointed with David's Bridal in every category I even called last week to the 800 # and told my whole story to a manager that said she was over the stores. PROMISED!! After 6 months of hell dealing with them since my purchase, I had to edit this review. I fell for everyone's pleasantness and was fooled into trusting them. They "recommended" ordering a larger size than I needed to give me room for alterations. Then when the dress came in 3 months later, said those alterations could not be done. So they did a straight exchange for a smaller size off the rack, no discount even though there were make up marks on it. I expressed that it felt too small, they assured me with alterations it would fit perfectly. And every subsequent fitting it was the same story- "oh no, we can't do whatever we told you we could do 2 weeks ago, but we can do this..." Another 3 months, 7 fittings, $300 in alterations later, the dress is even more ill fitting than the first day. My wedding is now one week away and my dress looks terrible. I have tried contacting corporate and was blown off. I have been starving myself to try to fit in to this size 4 they coaxed me into buying. I have lost 7 lbs in the past 2 weeks and the dress is still too tight. I should never have trusted them. Please use caution if you are considering using davids bridal for your gown purchase. Bring someone with you in the garment industry who will stand up for you when they start making bogus recommendations. read more

I went to buy a dress for a wedding, I was ready to pay (after NOBODY even went to ask if I needed help, even though they saw me having troube with the zipper) and the lady from alterations was the one in the front... she kept asking everyone for help because it seems like she had never done that; the manager was there but he was just walking around without trying to help her... after paying she gave me the dress WITHOUT A BAG because she said they did not have any, I told her I was NOT going to take it like that because it was raining, she gave me a used bag, but I will never EVER go there to buy anything. If I could have rated negative stars I would have definitely done it, for david Bridals in Lafayette, la. These people are unprofessional and the review with less than two stars are 100% correct. I had a bridal consultant who constantly kept rushing me on my appointment when we were trying to make final decisions for a wedding party of ten brides maid, two wedding dresses, accessories, rehearsal gown, shoes, mother of the bride gown, and shoes for the bride. I have never had a young lady disrespect me the way the young lady had an attitude, constantly reminds me that she gets off in a few, but she could not clock out until we were through. I explain to her, she could leave! She explain she couldn't, it was against her policies. This consultant constantly reminded me that she had a cat at home to go feed! Long story short, we ended up ordering dresses there, three months later I found out through one of the bridesmaid that the dress was discontinued and no one called me nor contacted me. I asked to speak with the manager, explained that this was not the first time I have had a problem with the wedding consultant. I have asked for a new consultant several times so the old one may go and feed her cats. The manager for rude in the iPhone yelling at me that it was corporate mistake not hers and they were not compensating me, nor my party. I will be calling the Bette business burea for all the bad review and all the money they are taking as payments but don't want to give back for their mistakes. I have a girl in my wedding that use to work there and she stated they are trained to tell customers that they need to pay the dresses in full because it will take 6 months for the dresses to come in (lied). This is for commission. They make you order bigger sizes so they may charge all those alterations! These people are s scam for commissions and are totally disrespectful! I took my business to Baton Rouge, Alfred Angelo!!!!! Wonderful and professional. I even called back after trying on ten wedding dresses with my new consultant who I made sure she didn't have animals that she may have to leave and feed. David Bridals will be given negative stars and corporate needs to see this, probably I should write to cooperate office and ask them to get with the show undercover boss and pretend like they are a customer. read more

I have only negative things to say about this place. The service is horrible. I picked up a brides maids dress this evening and upon going in I was not told hello or even acknowledged. They were slow as in I was the only one in there and everyone was at the front desk. The manager jumped on some ladies coming in for a wedding dress and the instructed a girl to grab my dress. That same girl said it was her turn and she would get the ladies after she helped me. Fast forward a few minutes Logan (lady with the attitude/manager) is busy standing in her butt and the girl who originally helped me is bouncing back and forth between me and the ladies she can get commission off of. I was hoping to get a bra and shoes while in there but noone was available to help me other than the girl with her hands full. I asked and no one helped. I have encountered this girl Logan before and she seems to immature to be in charge of a store and very rude. I wish I could say I'll never some back again but as a recurring bridesmaid I'm sure I'll have too. read more

Shout out to the David's Bridal team in Lafayette. My MOH dress was suppose to arrive last week, at the latest today, and it did not. I called the store and found out the package was picked up by ups but not scanned so it can't be tracked. Me. Freaking out. Asked what we need to do. Hearing the panic in my voice, the manager called ups to figure out what was happening. Of course ups has no idea where my dress has gone and the David's Bridal manager filed a claim and called me back to inform me of the news. Me. Freaking out and panicking again. BUT the manager informs me she can order another dress and can try to get it to store by Friday and if it doesn't get there she had three dresses of similar look and exact color and size for a, as she called, plan C. She has worked for David's Bridal for 8 years and told me she knows what to say to rush the order. Me. Slightly calmer, ask how much that will cost me. Manager. Nothing at all you paid for a dress, you're getting a dress. BLESS She took a very panicked and stressful Situation and calmed it down. Dear Lord, THANK YOU! read more

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE EVER!!!!!!! The first day we went the service was good. Joy was my consultant and while she had her flaws, she was VERY attentive to me. I fell in love with a Zac Posen dress that was on sale and she convinced the manager to let me hold it over night. The next day we go back, and since Joy wasn't in that day the MANAGER was my consultant. We saw her maybe THREE TIMES through out my entire appointment, and my friends and I were the ONLY customers in the store. But since I was in love with my dress I put it on layaway. The next day I go back to show my mom and THEY PUT MY DRESS BACK ON THE CLEARANCE RACK AFTER I PAID FOR IT!!!!!!! If I would not have gone back that day someone else would have re-bought it. THEY DIDNT EVEN APOLOGIZE!!!! The ONLY reason I stayed was because I'm in love with my dress. No other reason. THEY WERE SO RUDE!!!!!!!! The customer service was amazing! I was helped by Elizabeth today when going to pick up my dress. She made sure to check and double check that I had everything I needed when trying my dress on. She was polite and didn't rush me as I examined the dress on me. She constantly adjusted the dress as I walked around in it to make sure it looked perfect! I felt so beautiful in my dress. I have been to this store 4 other times with various wedding parties and the service was terrible the helpers didn't seem interested at all but I had found a dress on line and wanted to try it on so I went in and met with the snobby older lady at the door who rushed me to the side only to make me wait. Then Devin came to ask if I needed help. She admitted to not working bridal and I appreciate her honestly but she also committed to helping me which was a breath of fresh air from this building I didn't buy the dress I came in for because we both agreed it was a bad fit, I appreciate that she was personable to point it out. But I did end up with my perfect dress. I will recommend anyone that go to that store please please do yourself a favor and ask for Devin, she's amazing. read more

I've been to this store 3 times my entire life and the first 2 times were horrible. the first time I went I was picking out my wedding dress. we found 3 dresses for me to try on and the one that I ended up buying was too big. my mother in law asked the girl helping us to see if they had a smaller size. we gave her the dress and she went look, as she was "looking" I was still in the dressing room waiting for her and texting my maid of honor who was outside the dressing room. after about 10 minutes of waiting for the lady to bring a smaller size my maid of honor tells me to come out because the lady didn't even have the dress. she could have told us that she didn't find it in a smaller size instead of just making us wait. the second time I went I was picking bridesmaid dresses the girl who was helping didn't even stay by us for assistance. everytime we had a question we had to stand around and wait for her to show up. when we finished we went to the registers for her to mark which dresses I chose because we weren't getting them that day. we walked around for 10-15 minutes because she was nowhere to be found. well my wedding dress was originally supposed to get in february 8,2016. my mother in law called monday january 25 to check on it and they told her it was on the truck and would be here the the upcoming friday or saturday. I called that friday and a lady answered, her name was sandra or shonda(I couldn't understand her) well said I was calling to see if my dress was ready. she asked "uh well did you get an email from us?" I said no ma'am and before I could finish she said "well then it isnt in yet" I told her about them saying it would be here the friday or saturday and she said well on my computer it says february 8th. so I was just like whatever. I called sunday again and talked to a lady named Maggie. she was really really sweet and told me that my dress was at the store and it had been there for 3 days. ALSO she told me that that rude lady I had talked to was THE STORE MANAGER. how can you expect people to go there and buy stuff when you are rude! I have every right to call and check on MY dress. I will never do business with them again. my bridesmaids are purchasing dresses from another business because of this rude lady. I am so glad to be done with that place, and I will let everyone I know not to go there. read more
