After a couple of visits and calls (it was a large investment), he was able to custom-make me an unbelievable piece that exceeded all my expectations. Came here on a Tuesday around noon to get some watch batteries replaced. Nice girl at the counter helped me out and went to check to see if the watch guy was there. He was there so she told me it would take 5 minutes. I sat down, played on my phone, and soon enough, the watches were ready. Price for the 2 watches was very reasonable. The girl gave me a little zip lock bag to put the watches in. I'd recommend this place if you need your watch battery replaced. I have been meaning to write a review for David's for some time, however was prompted to after seeing the atrocious review left by another Yelper. For several years I have been going to David's for all my jewelry needs, watch battery replacement, antique watch restoration, engagement ring, wedding wing, antique diamond ring restoration, and the list goes on and on. EVERY TIME I have dealt with David or his staff they have been the utmost professional and kind. David charges very reasonable rates for everything and if he quotes me a rate under what it ended up costing, he sticks with his original estimate. Not many people will ever do that. There have been times I have gone in and the place was mobbed, I either wait or come back. There are only so many people working to give service, so it is understandable. I too have been in late when they have been wrapping up. They have NEVER been rude, but they are people too and have been working all day, of course they want to go home. Also, from previous knowledge, there are insurance rules about what time the place close, so they are up against a clock. The store was empty when I walked in, they were about to close so the lady in the front was a bit busy. The second lady at the back of the store asked me to bring my watch to her, she seemed busy as well. She took my watch and I just sat there in silence. The short version: I highly recommend David's Jewelers, David and his team are fantastic to work with and provide quality work. The full story: My fiance went to David's Jewelers for my engagement ring, after getting poor work/design back on my ring from a DIFFERENT jeweler. He brought the original ring to David's, explained the issue and that there was a time crunch to get it fixed because he wanted to propose on Christmas Eve (less than 2 weeks away). They were extremely helpful and understood the urgency to get the ring back and for it to be perfect. They worked with my fiance to determine the best course of action, while also not costing him extra money for any unnecessary or duplicate work since they didn't have my exact ring size, which when already spending a lot on an engagement ring, he certainly appreciated this. He got the ring back a few days prior to Christmas Eve and it was perfect. A few days after he proposed he told me the full story of how he got the ring, and expressed how great the people at David's are and how they helped reassure him it will all work out and he will have the ring in time. My fiance and I both went back to David's a week after getting engaged to get my ring resized and I got to experience the service at David's myself and he certainly did not exaggerate about how fantastic they are! We spoke with David and Theresa that day and they were so personable and attentive to what we needed. Also, being a woman who was recently engaged they understood that I didn't want to part with my ring for long so they got it resized and back to me way faster than we expected. Watches battery replacement I have an extensive collection of watches. I have used David's Jewelers in Florham Park NJ for replacing the batteries for a long time and they were nice and competitive ($7/8 for most of the watches). In the last months I paid $9/10 for most of the watches. I know that some batteries are more expensive than others but on dozens of replacements, it is significant, even if they are still very nice. I am trying to find another supplier now. read more

A very important anniversary is approaching. I returned to David's Jewelry in Florham Park. The perfect ring was in the case. The selections were numerous, coupled with a very knowledgeable and courteous sales staff, resulted in another wonderful experience at David's. The ring I purchased will have to be made because of the size. While I was in the store the owner picked up the phone, called the manufacturer confirmed the delivery date and price. Over the past 7 years David's Jewelry has provided many pieces of fine designer jewelry to us. Alway available for questions, and always willing to clean and polish any of our jewelry. If they need to send something out to another location, such as New York, for a repair, they let you know upfront as well as how much you can expect to pay. For jewelry repairs this place rocks. I broke the band on my watch and came in with it late on Friday. Explained that I was flying out to Europe the next evening and was there any way they could fix it quick. Staff was super nice and asked me what the latest I could come to get it was. I said Saturday at noon and got a call that it was ready by 10 the next morning. Staff was again was super nice when I came in and repair was extremely reasonable (only $5). Have tried several other jewelers in the area with distinctily negative experiences. Stopped by a few months ago just to get rings cleaned - they were great. Stopped in last month to have work done on a pair of heavy 14K gold earrings. They could have talked me into an expensive repair but instead "tried" a simple fix which worked beautifully & inexpensively. I also had my watch battery changed very reasonably.
