took a 14k gold chain to them as I wanted to sell it, I knew the exact weight ( I have a scale for online selling and postage rates ) and knew the current daily gold price prior to entering - they offered me 50% of melt down value, they advertise that they offer top dollar. Well, maybe they simply didn't want it but the offer was far from that. I realize they have overhead etc but was pretty disappointed... Took it to a pawn shop out of all places a few towns over and got 85% of melt down value and several hundred dollars more. A waste of time if you're looking to sell something like an engagement ring. On their website there's a section that says "we buy" and that they offer and it asks you to book a consult. Got to the store and was greeted by a guy in his 30's, I showed him the diamond ring I was trying to sell and he almost instantly tells me that they can only offer the weight of the piece in gold. There are diamonds in the ring that are worth more than the gold. If you're going to promote buying as a service at least put something on your website that makes it clear you'll only pay what the precious metals are worth. Save customers the trip. read more

I'm a frequent customer there but just had to comment on how despite the profit that could be made, their lovely counter woman steered me away from the cleaning and gave me a polishing cloth and offered their jewelry cleaner as a viable solution. Great place! We had to get a ring design fixed, that they didn't do right, and before I even get into that situation, let me just say how great I think it is that they offer you tea or coffee. Never have I ever been in a place that has that special addition, and I'm not a huge fan of coffee, but this was a nice sweet coffee. This was some sort of sugar cookie coffee, and it was very nice and sweet. Maybe, the main reason I don't like coffee, is because I've only had it plain, and never with anything sweet.
