I have cracks and depressions in different areas already! This was the first time we paved our driveway. It was just crush for years and we decided to spend the money to pave it. We got quoted from several different contractors and Tri-city was paving our neighbors driveway so we decided to go with them. They were a bit unprofessional yelling at each other when doing the job. Apparently there were some disagreements. They underestimated the amount of paving they needed and ended up having to get an additional truckload. I think they tried to squeeze what they had over a broader area than they should have. They left a very visible seam in one section and told us the sealcoating would take care of it. That is where some of the cracks have appeared. We had weeds coming up along the edge of pavement and a significant depression in one section after the first summer. This year we have visible cracks. My advice is to go with another contractor!

He even used the extra asphalt to repair an existing walkway at no extra charge. He treated his employees with respect and it shows by the way they work for him. They finished the work quickly and thoroughly cleaned the worksite before leaving. He does quality work at a reasonable price and fit me into his busy schedule. I will use him again in the future. Throughout the process, there were repeated no-shows and canceled appointments, usually with an excuse for why he couldn't make it. It became very frustrating because I couldn't rely on him to keep scheduled appointments. I paid for slate roof repairs, but the roof still leaks, and slates have continued to fall off after the work was completed. The issues I hired him to fix remain unresolved. After more than a year of trying to get the work corrected, I have decided to pursue the matter in small claims court. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mike's Roofing Repair and Carpentry.

Well, yesterday would have been the day to render those services. Instead I got a complete run around. I started calling him at 10:am he said he had to have someone else service me because he was stuck on a street in Latham. I asked for gentleman's name he replied Dakota. He further added he would be their no later then 11:am. Well at 12:30pm, I once again reached out to Drew he chose not to pick up his phone and the mailbox was full. Then at 2:pm I called again. This time Drew picked up the phone and was yelling obscenities into the phone now claiming he broke his plow and is stranded in Clifton Park. Yelling Dakota probably went to lunch? I in turn started raising my voice at him stating, I hired you not someone named Dakota. I told him I want my money back. Enough. Long story short Dakota was at my neighbors house plowing. I lost it started yelling his name and screaming where were you? blah blah blah. He came and plowed the driveway fairly well. I provided hot chocolate, water bottles, protein bars. ETC. I gave him a $55.00 tip. Thats right..only for him to proceed to tell me he couldn't do it again for free? I said what? He claims that he did not receive any monies for the work from Drew. He is the consummate professional, highly experienced, on time, patient, personable and reliable. He responded to every question and request promptly. His price was reasonable and his work was impeccable. If you go with Dan, you will not be disappointed! A few more details... The job Dan did for us was to enclose my daughter's large yard with a beautiful white vinyl privacy fence. Though it sounds like a basic job, there were many issues that needed to be addressed: whether to maintain the full six foot high fence around the entire property or lower the back fence to four so the view was not obstructed; what to do where an existing shed was right on the property line; how to balance the size of the panels on either side of numerous gates to create a pleasing aesthetic; and what to do where a large tree with substantial roots made it impossible to create a conventional corner. Dan helped with all these decisions, and more, bringing an expert eye and creative insight that elevated the whole project. At the end of the day, we felt we got our money's worth and then some!
