After I paid him his full fee, I listened to him tell me all about the grandfather clock industry. He then spent a couple hours tinkering with the grandfather clock, at the end of such time he turned palms up and said he could not fix it without a complete replacement of the inner workings (my word, not his). I asked him the cost of such a repair/replacement, and he quoted me a fee of $2,000.00. Of course, that quote was outrageous, so we parted ways. To look at his website, one would think he was competent to fix any grandfather clock that does not run. I then found another more knowledgable grandfather repairman, who fixed my grandfather clock for approximately $250.00. I intend to keep using the second repairman. Use Olde Tymes/David Morrow if you want, but I wouldn't dream of returning to him for further work on my grandfather clock. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

It was only an inexpensive timex, it had been loosing time, so I figured it just needed a new battery. I asked if he could change the battery in my watch,he said yes.I asked how much , he said $13 . I said ok, he took the watch and went back into his office. There was a window so I could see him at his desk. I could not actually see what was doing, assuming he was changing the battery.After about 10 minutes or so he came out handed me back my watch, charged me $13 and I left. After while I noticed my watch was still loosing time, so I figured since it had a new battery something else must be wrong with it. So I bought me another Timex watch to replace it. I set the older one on my dresser and after a couple of months out of curiosity I checked my old watch on the dresser and it had stopped running.
