This lovely bookstore is stocked full with amazing rare and treasured books, lovingly curated by Diane & Bill, a husband and wife team. Bill was a physician. After he retired, he decided to try to bind medical journal articles together and took an immediate intereste in the craft of book-binding. After created medical books, he practiced his newfound art on Shakespeare. Bill & Diane are friendly, kind, and clearly love their books, bringing many of them back from the UK when they visit. There is a lot to check out here and several other bookstores in the small town of Hobart. Wm. H. Adams Antiquarian Books has everything from law to medicine to history and much much more. My favorite was their large selection of historical cookbooks. Be sure to stop by for a visit.

The store also supports local artists by displaying their artwork throughout the store along with the price list. The owner is English and her business is an extension of her lovely personality. I have childhood memories of this place that could have come straight out of a magical fairytale book. There are many categories here; a large history section, gardening, art, film, geography, mythology, crafts, so many categories and subcategories, and because they are curated by someone passionate with books there are no filler books here. The prices are unbelievably reasonable, this is a curated collection by a woman passionate about books, making a living off of it feels secondary here to the passion of finding the books.
