Assured me more than 3 times that my engagement ring was covered regarding theft before my 3 week honeymoon (ring was stated on policy but I wanted to be positive that theft was covered not only in US but internationally as well.) An insurance agent at his office stated I could "drop it down the drain in any country and without an explanation I would still be covered." Less than a year later I was informed that my ring was never covered, yet I was charged for the amount of home owners insurance INCLUDING jewelry. When angry and asking what would have happened in the case of theft the owner, Mike Kulka, paused and stated that the ring was never covered and they wouldn't have covered the cost.  DO NOT trust this office. Unless you're comfortable with paying for false coverage.

First, let me say that the ONLY saving grace this branch had was Kailyn (I really hope I spelled…read morethat right). She was the only person willing to try and genuinely help me out when things got increasingly worse so I want the record to show that she does not deserve a one star. Let me start with background on me. My dad was a State Farm guy. Had State Farm as long as I can remember and so when I turned 16, that's what I ended up getting. I was born in Alabama and had the same agent until I moved to The Woodlands, TX roughly 11 years later. I was looking around for a solid agent and came across Jared Dolan. When I went in, he immediately took me back to his office and laid out his history with the company and generally how he runs his agency. It was refreshing. My previous agent of 11 years was an old man that I had zero interaction with and so when it came time to choosing my new agent I was in the market for someone who I could call up if there was an issue and he/she would remember me. Knowing I was new to the area, Jared gave me a crash course in the area and made sure I had zero questions before I left. It felt good knowing he cared. A few months later, I missed a payment unknowingly and called him up directly and took care of everything like it was no big deal. Fast forward to nearly two years later. I was getting married. Well, to be proactive, my fiancée and I went in together to see what it would take to put her on my insurance. The reason we went in is because we called three times over the course of weeks, were told all three times that all agents were busy and we'd receive a call back, and then never received a call back. So instead of getting all bent out of shape about a forgotten post it note saying we needed to return a call, we just went in. We were met by Adriana: a very short, bordering on rude, woman who seemed more inconvenienced by our presence than anything else. We explained our situation to which she said we could have just called it in. When we explained that we did but we were never getting called back she said it was because they were busy...so then why tell us we could call it in? Anyway, it wasn't worth the argument. We explained our situation. We weren't married but we would be married shortly and were just trying to get a jump on insurance. It's very crucial to remind you that we both were there. My fiancée and me, the one adding her to my plan. We got her all the information she asked for and made our first payment. Everything seemed fine. Shortly after, I received an email from Kailyn saying she needed my fiancée's information. I remember calling in to figure out why they needed it again since we came in and did all that but somehow they lost the information. I got a call shortly after that from Adriana saying I needed to confirm that I was adding my fiancée to my plan. At this point, it became apparent that us going in together to handle this did absolutely nothing. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why they needed all of this when we went in to the office to handle all of it! I then I received a letter saying that an insurance premium was being dropped. I called in and they said that underwriting was canceling her because we weren't married so there were two different names on the account. If that was going to be an issue, it should have been brought up when we first went in. We finally got that squared away but I received another letter. At this point, I was done. I called after hours and left a voicemail asking to speak directly with Jared because the back and forth was just getting out of hand. The response I got was in email form from Adriana, NOT Jared, saying that nothing was dropped, they just needed a copy of her license (again...). So I sent it in again on Oct 22, 2015. I am running out of characters so let me wrap this up. I was double charged in Dec, Jan, and Feb because they didn't auto debit me correctly in Oct and Nov. Their fault, not mine, but I had to pay for it without any communication that it was about to happen. So, when it came time to buy our first house I shopped around and found cheaper rates on both my home AND auto insurance with better coverage at All State. So, I cancelled State Farm but woke up this morning with an alert saying they charged me the full amount again. When I called it in, Kailyn (who by this point I'm sure is beyond tired of dealing with me...hah) said that the policy was cancelled, however, for an unknown reason that she will research it never made it to billing. So, communication issues, Jared disappearing once he got his check, and billing issues like crazy. I can't justify giving this branch, even though I was with State Farm for 14 years, higher than 1 star. Will I receive any aid from the corporation? No. They've lost a customer and so they've washed their hands of me. I'm just offering my experience in hopes it may help others.

They also helped when we discovered the title company sent my insurance payment to the wrong company. They were diligent and not allowing my policy to be cancelled due to the mess up. They worked directly with the title company to get it straightened out. They are awesome.
