Good news: you too can look like Melinda, because her racks are filled with tons of dresses, tops, pants and skirts...natural fabrics and so pretty. She also has eye wear...like REALLY COOL eye wear. Light House had hand sanitizer by the door and masks on all the employees, but other than those much appreciated concessions to COVID, it felt like a wonderfully normal shopping experience. This place is stocked with all kinds of high-quality home goods. They've got pottery, candles, appliances, textiles, wrapping paper, adorable baby clothes, toys, stuffed animals, cards, cookware, and a million other items my wife wants to buy (even though we probably only need a dozen of them). Her favorite things they have? Hand soap, laundry detergent, and dish soap in giant jugs so you can bring your own refillable containers and purchase by the ounce without destroying our environment. (We both hug trees on a regular basis.) My favorite things they have? A really interesting selection of books, and a comfortable couch I can sit and read on as my wife looks at everything else. They are stocked from floor to ceiling with metal serving pans, knifes, mixing bowls, scoops, spatulas, glassware, tongs, and anything else you can think of. Although the prices aren't marked, which is kind of annoying, they will sell you everything at remarkable prices. I imagine if you bought in large quantities you would receive even better discounts. I went and picked up a #20 scoop, a heavy duty burger flipper, a silicone baking mat, a large metal bowl, and a red ketchup squeeze bottle. There were at least another dozen things I didn't need but did WANT... and I might go back for them. The staff were super friendly, no doubt because they were enamored with Harrison. They answered my questions, and even gave us a few gifts for stopping by. I did experience a few downsides. As noted above, prices aren't marked. Also, they don't sell "disposables" so the half-pan pre-cut parchment paper sheets I wanted weren't there. The same with bamboo steamers (though a nearby Asian market will fill that need). And, they are only open M-F during normal business hours, so weekend or night trips aren't an option. This place is like a well stocked tool store.
