I arrived at the window at least five minutes prior to their lunch hour. The pharmacy tech knew it was very close to lunch and refused to assist me in processing my prescription because it meant calling in to get an approval. Instead, she threw up a poster that advertised their lunch hour and told me I would need to return when they got back even tho I arrived prior to. I could go on and on but you get the point....beyond unacceptable. When I spoke to the pharmacist, all she did was defend the pharmacy aid instead of apologizing and offering resolution. Clearly this explains why this has become a culture of unacceptable behavior at this location and why so many complain online. They truly just don't care...

Walmart carries them, but theirs used Velcro that did not hold very good and came apart. I thought I was going to have to go to Houston for a simple arm sling. I called Lifecheck and the woman that I spoke to was very nice and let me know that carried arm slings and they were not the Velcro kind. I got to the store a little after 5 and easily found the sling, made the purchase and was on my way in more comfort than when I arrived. They have some other stuff there too like nick-nacky things, candles, and some toys. I have not used Lifecheck as a pharmacy though because I use the VA so I cannot comment on that aspect of the store. The attendants were really nice though so I imagine the pharmacy service is fine. It is a smaller place, but its also in a smaller town.

That day, my son was particularly thrilled because he had earned some money and chose to buy a V-Bucks gift card. He was so excited. I returned home at 6:00 PM, and he showed me the gift card. However, when I attempted to redeem it, it did not work. I tried various methods, but nothing was successful. Consequently, I contacted Epic, and they informed me that I needed to return to Walgreens because the card had not been activated correctly. I inquired if my son had received two receipts, to which he replied no, and his older sister confirmed this as well. Therefore, I went back to Walgreens at 6:15 PM on the same day and spoke with the gentleman at the register who had sold the card to my son. He mentioned that he had just taken out the trash and suggested I could look through it. I was taken aback and asked, "Why would I want to rummage through your trash? May I please speak to the manager?" He then went to go get a woman who appeared to already be displeased with her job. I explained the situation to her, and she immediately responded with an attitude before me getting out the whole issue. I raised my voice slightly and said, "What am I supposed to do? You essentially took $10 from my nine-year-old!" She replied with an attitude, "There is nothing I can do; you need to contact the number on the back of the card." I pointed out that there was no number on the back. An older gentleman behind me mentioned that he had experienced a similar issue before, and someone had managed to resolve it. However, that "Karen" was not willing to assist me in rectifying THEIR error! I asked her if she could attempt to reactivate the card, as I was currently chatting with Epic, who stated that all that was needed was for it to be activated for it to work. Once again, she raises her voice at me and snatches the scanner, exclaiming, "See!" At this point, I elevate my voice once more, overpowering her. She then says to me, "You need to calm down or I will call the police!" I responded with a laugh, saying, "For what? I am literally just conversing with you." She says, "We do not tolerate this behavior!" I inquired, "What, me talking?" It is important to note that I did not insult her, or call her out of her name, nor did I throw anything! I simply spoke to her. Her statement revealed everything I needed to know about this person. She threatened me because of the COLOR of my SKIN! Why else? What else could it have been? Consequently, I contacted the Complaint Hotline and Corporate regarding this matter and am currently awaiting a response on the issue. The manager was expected to reach out to us within two days. On 6/10/25, we received a phone call, during which he failed to apologize for the situation. Instead, his initial remark was, "Hi there, did you manage to resolve your gift card issue!" There was no acknowledgment such as, "I sincerely apologize for what transpired on 6/4/25, and I have investigated the matter." Absolutely none of that. He accused my 9-year-old son of dishonesty, claiming he observed him with two receipts on the surveillance footage. We then again asked my 15-year-old daughter, and she confirmed that they both ONLY received one receipt. I would not be making such a significant issue out of this if it were merely my money and if it was activated correctly, but they did this to CHILDREN! *Do Better Walgreens With Your Customer Service Employees*
