Quite possibly one of the worst companies that are dealt with my engine that I had delivered was damaged. The delivery was late and then it took forever, and I was lied to by employees treated rudely. It was very upsetting hours on end on the phone. Overall, I would never choose to use this company again. I have had product sent before from Walmart, Home Depot, and other various stores where they ended up having to give me my order for free because these guys couldn't get it delivered on time overall I am very dissatisfied with their service although they did issue me a refund personally this time, but it does not even cover the damages and the stress that I had to undergo not to mention the amount of personal time I had to sink in to get things dealt with And the business interruption that it caused

My order had no issue crossing canada with this company but soon as it get passed off to a partner company things go to shit. The customer service was debatable the first guy 2 workers didn't know what was going on and the 3rd didnt know but was able to get my order tracked down eventually. Order arrived a week late. So I dont know if I should give 1 star or 5 star. Partner company definitely gets 1 star read more

Bought a shed from Rona and they use Day & Ross for deliveries, item was ready within a day from Rona (excellent service), then the item was to be delivered on Tuesday May 5th (Not delivered), still in Longueil as per tracking. Then to be delivered on Wednesday according to tracking, received in Ottawa by 03:26 a.m., not delivered! Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. get a call from Day & Ross that my shed is to be delivered on Thursday May 7, between 09:00 and 5:00 p.m. By the way this now the third day I have to stay home for a delivery and guess what at 7:30 p.m. on May 7 ... STILL NO DELIVERY! After two calls to Day & Ross which were unanswered left two messages as per their voice mail, no calls were returned until the driver was actually showing for my delivery at 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning. Do not deal with this company, they not trustworthy and have no interest in even talking to their clients. read more

After finally arriving in Calgary on April second with a delivery date of March 26th Day and Ross refused to make my delivery prior to the long weekend even though I offered to come into my shop on Good Friday. They lied to me about the cause of the delay and blamed it on the weather. I ordered from the same supplier a day later and received my shipment in 3 days with a different carrier. Add me to the long list of dissatisfied customers. Suppliers will be asked to use different carrier from now on. read more

Great service, I booked them through Freightera and the whole process was flawless. They picked up my load on Friday went through the customs process in the weekend and delivered Tuesday in Milwaukee. Thanks for diligent and professional service. read more

Parcel made it from Quebec to Nova Scotia in two days over the Easter Long Weekend. Good so far right. Not so good after that. Sat in Halifax (2 hours away from me) for 9 days. Despite repeated calls from myself and the shipping company to find out why it wasn't moving. Similar to other posts a number of lies were told about it being delivered and no one home to receive - when no delivery was attempted. Calls were made, but no calls could be made from Customer Service to the Dispatch Terminal to find out what the problem was. No on was willing to take responsibility, but everyone was willing to pass off and placate, by saying they would send an email and hopefully something would happen. Nothing has yet happened. We are 9 days in now and nothing is moving those 2 hours down the road. P.S. don't press one to get a call back, if you have called once in the week, they will stop responding to that option - best to stay on hold for the full 30 minutes until one of their 7,500 employees answers. THE WORST! Do not ship with. They will come up with any excuse to not deliver. They are currently holding up my entire business and could care less. They've missed 3 shipping windows, and turned around within 30 minutes of the delivery location without contacting us. We would have gladly driven the extra distance to get the items we have been waiting for, but they don't seem to care. The comment "Sorry buddy, didn't think of that". Avoid at all costs. read more

"Our people are our greatest strength" This has to be one of the greatest jokes ever from a company. Their employee's are lazy, ignorant and are employed for the paycheck only. Had a delivery to my home. sofa and loveseat. The driver wanted to leave the order on the street in front of my house. Took everything in me arguing with him to at least bring it to my gate. Anyways, the boxes were beat. The company I bought the furniture from had to replace the sofa as it was damaged. The new sofa was dropped off in the middle of my yard. I was home. The driver was even to lazy to knock on my door. I was leaving my home for some errands and there it was. If it was bad weather the sofa could have been destroyed. Day and Ross has been a scab company for years. Anyone who is in the trucking industry or dealt with them know this and do their best to pick a different shipper. There is zero pride from management down in this company. They hire drivers who do not speak English. Drive like complete morrons. If you hire this company for your shipping needs, you get what you pay for. Enjoy.. minus 10 stars read more

Home depot needs to employ more effective delivery service...In fact. I thought I was a victim of a delivery scam because of the run away I was getting, , so I google Day & Ross to see if they were real...they are just unreliable with poor service. read more

I'd give them Zero stars if I could. Their tracking is inaccurate (always late) and they offer almost no flexibility in delivery times expecting you to be home mid-day to sign for a package on 2-3 days' notice. For some reason,n they think everyone sits at home all week waiting for deliveries. When you try to come up with a time that works for you they threaten unknown storage fees. Avoid using Day & Ross if you possibly can. I have no idea how this company is still in business. read more

HORRIBLE, Decathlon used them to ship my order. It was supposed to arrive 7 days after I placed the order, but it's been 3 weeks still not here. They may have escalated the situation, but it's still necessary for them to get a hold of their operations. How do you lose a 150lbs+ package read more

Absolutely the worst delivery company I've ever dealt with. I was advised by Home Depot as this was the third party delivery company they used, that the delivery would be on Sunday. Waited all day then phoned in to Home Depot on Monday to chase my delivery as I didn't know the delivery company being used. Was then told the company delivering was Day and Ross and it was scheduled for today, I rushed home and waiting til 5pm and again no delivery or any notification. I advised them to please add a note that they need to call me before attempting the delivery so I can get to the address as I don't live there. Phoned in to Day and Ross the next day and was told it would be today (it is now Tuesday), again waited til 5-530pm, no delivery. Spoke with another agent and advised that the shipment was in Calgary still. Spoke with a manager in New Brunswick to confirm and he stated that they drive all night and so will be in Vancouver tomorrow morning so delivery should be on Wednesday. Confirmed that please make sure someone calls before attempting delivery as I need to be there to accept as it's a condo and can't be left outside. On Wednesday morning I received a call from the delivery driver from the address. Told him I wasn't there but could get there in 20 mins or could he please come back later, was told no he can't so I'm still waiting for my delivery and it is Thursday. Home Depot has been great to make up for this unfortunate experience and I hope they discontinue dealing with this company. In the future if I order something and Day and Ross is used for delivery I will decline and go elsewhere for my business :( At last I have to say that Day and Ross never engaged with me at all with regard to my delivery. Only communication was when the delivery driver was on site. read more

This is not an easy industry....lots of moving parts with many things that influence a delivery. Respectfully, I'm sure it's also difficult to find highly qualified and motivated people to work. I am grateful for the great service and experience with my freight! Thanks so much!! read more

The worst!!! This company is so screwed up and incompetent beyond belief. Our item arrived on the 22nd of April in our area and from there, they sent it all over the place and we still haven't got it !!! This is causing us so much work, frustration and delay on our job. Now the whole schedule is screwed up and it is costing us money and so much inconvenience and now they need a letter of authorization from the sender so they can get it sent to us. We are no further on and still have not got anywhere. They don't deliver to our island so they have no idea what to do. Day and Ross are in the wrong business ! They have no idea what they are doing! Have they ever heard of google maps! Still no heat pump it's been to so many places now it better not arrive damaged that would be the icing on the cake!!!, read more

the ship rates are great with Day and Ross but they are never on time. Don't bother calling dispatch as they are all clueless. They are all gone by 4 pm sharp as well. Don't waste your time listening to elevator music while you are on hold. Manitoulin Transport is a great option customer service wise and fast but they are twice as expensive. read more

I would give 0 stars if at all possible. Company is very unreliable. Paid for overnight shipping and it has been a week and it still has not arrived. Multiple attempts to contact someone in the LTL department to track my shipment were unsuccessful. Customer service is terrible to non-existent. Would definitely not recommend using this company to anyone. Going forward, I would rather pay another company a little more to for guaranteed service and delivery. read more

They don't know what they are doing there. Absolutely, horrendous. I provided them all of the info needed for them to process the shipment, and they responded by saying that not enough information was provided for them to be able to process it, and they forwarded me a Blank BOL. They couldnt even handle the basics of filling out a BOL with the shipping information provided and the account was provided. Awful! read more

I'm not one to mess with someone's pay cheque bur get rid of the whole delivery team. They are awful an clearly miserable and hate their jobs. ZERO customer service. It clearly says call 1 hour before. They called 5 minutes before and arrived on the wrong day. Walmart do better! read more

Package was received in good shape. Delivery time was horrible package had to be moved a total of a 1 1/2 hour drive from pick up point to my place . Received initial notice one day after package was picked up from seller that delivery would happen a couple of days later. 7 days later still no sign. Started contacting Day and Ross as well as seller to find out delay. D&R were no help to either myself or seller with getting to bottom of problem. Finally received package two and a half weeks later. Seriously!!! I could have walked to the warehouse and back a couple of times in that amount of time. read more

I wish I could put negative star rating. What a horrible company to deal with! O I am waiting for a shipment that was estimated to arrive a full week ago. I am currently on a forever hold waiting to speak to someone about this issue. This was the most terrible service I've ever experienced in my life. I work for a municipality and we ordered supplies for tenants moving into an affordable housing building. These are for people exiting homelessness, and who are deeply in need of these items and for two weeks day and Ross could not coordinate dropping off the units we already purchased because they refuse to give us a call, letting us know that they were here so we could properly direct them to our parking lot! We ordered through Dollarama and are deeply disappointed that Dollarama works with such a disappointing company and clearly does not care about their bulk orders and for their clients - terrible terrible terrible service! read more

Seems I'm not the only one as I rarely have seen a business rated this low. I build houses in Austin, I get multiple big deliveries per week. Ordered a single skylight from BC, no big deal. I ordered things internationally all the time, it's a price of plastic so no hazmat issues. The only service the manufacturer would use are these guys. I BEGGED to pay more to have it brought to Austin but they swore it could not make it past the R&L Teme dock. Got a call from my rep AT the R&L Temple dock asking why we weren't having it delivered directly, why it even had the wrong address for the R&L Temple dock on it. Frankly it's a miracle it made it that far. She said she had never seen anything like it. She said there was no reason it couldn't be delivered to Austin, an hour or two down the NAFTA superhighway as it's known, the capital of one of the biggest states in the country, so not an outlying obscure location or anything, called these people to arrange it. They denied them the right to do so. They lied and said I wouldn't pay the addtl fee which I asked the super multiple times if I could pay so I didn't have to go get it. It's a little incredible they only do this and are this bad at it, and clearly it isn't just me looking at the reviews. If you actually want it to get there, find someone else. read more

We ordered a part from a third party who chose to ship it with Day & Ross, we were told it would be 3-4 days to arrive, it's been over a week and every time we call to check on the tracing number they gave us, no one can tell us where exactly it is or when it will arrive! We just keep getting "it's on a truck, it should arrive tomorrow" and tomorrow never comes. The worst service ever! read more

They they messed up my Home Depot delivery date and drop-off location so the driver had to take it back but they didn't attempt another delivery and lacked communication. After calling them a week later when my original delivery date was, the customer service rep was rude and unprofessional and finally set a delivery date 8 days after the first delivery attempt. read more

I would Give them zero stars if i could. We get shipments from all over North America, and i have never dealt with a company more unprofessional than Day & Ross. Their drivers are always rude, and impatient. The accounting department is even worse. One of our suppliers shipped Day & Ross, even though we specifically asked them not too. I tracked it and it was at their terminal, so i called and asked when it would delivered. They told me within that week. We needed it sooner, so i arranged for us to pick it up from the terminal - That was all fine. We get there to pick it up and they slap us with a $9,000.00 bill. The Customer care representative (I won't call her out by name) even agreed that, it didn't look right, but didnt ask any questions, just expected us to pay. Of course we didn't. We got in touch with the higher ups and they sorted everything out. We went to pick up again the next day, and they wouldn't release anything because the new paperwork was not complete yet... on their end, not ours. I waited there for an hour, and was still unable to leave with my item... Waited another few hours and finally got a call that we could pick it up. We almost lost our customer over this, as we had told them the job would get done much sooner than it obviously did... Thanks Day &Ross! We got that picked up, and they emailed a new invoice. 1 week went by, and our invoice was still outstanding - the same lady as before threated to send us to collections... After all the NONSENSE they put us through, 1 week later we're threated with collections. I wouldn't even recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more

Two men dropped off a SEVERELY damaged box containing a lawnmower yesterday. They both had smirks on their faces when they had me sign for it and when I remarked on the condition they said "call if you have any complaints." They both looked very bemused. This company is the WORST. Home Depot should not be using this company. It has left a horrible impression on me and I will not use Home Depot delivery ever again. read more

They don't even deserve 1 star. Worst delivery experience ever. I ordered a patio chair from Walmart and the delivery kept being delayed over and over. Then they had the nerve to say they attempted delivery and there was nobody home. Well, I was at home and I live in an apartment which requires a buzzer code to enter. if someone rings the buzzer it comes to my phone and if not answered there is a missed phone call notification. This courier's website is very difficult to navigate and doesn't seem to work properly. I finally got through to their telephone "support" after a lengthy wait. The woman I spoke to had all kinds of excuses and no real answers. she claimed they didn't have my apt number, then later said if I wanted to reschedule the delivery, it would be a curbside delivery. I'm a disabled senior who uses a mobility device and My deliveries always come to my door. i want to cancel my order now but apparently cannot do that because the item would have to be returned to the shipper before I can do that. These guys cannot even coordinate with Home Depot to give a correct delivery date. Sure, you can track the order, but then it suddenly appears as 'delivered' without any notice. So your product sits there, unattended. Hopefully nobody steals it. read more

I ordered a VERY expensive product, that was being shipped through Day and Ross. They have been giving me the runaround for weeks. "It's on the dock", "On the truck", "On the dock", "Out for delivery". For weeks! And then, I couldn't track my package online anymore... it just vanished. I've been calling them daily demanding (politely) for some answers. Because this product is so expensive, they can't just leave it at my door. I have been sitting at my house for DAYS waiting for this to be delivered. I then get "we are unable to locate it at this time". Now, I may add... this box that this item is in is about 82" in length. Very hard to miss. When I called the most recent time, they hung up on me. I have a VERY BAD feeling about where my product truly is. May I also add, shipping was not cheap on this product given its size and value. Very disturbed by this company and do not recommend to anyone. Unless of course you want something lost... then maybe these would be the guys to go to. STAY. AWAY. read more

I ordered a hyper e-bike from Walmart, I've had problems with Walmart shipping before so I was hesitant to even buy this thing, but it was on clearance and there is a 15% sale, so I figured what the heck it was just a really good deal. Anyway they sent me the tracking info for Day&Ross a shipping company I have never heard of so I looked up the reviews and after reading them I was overcome with dread that this was going to become a nightmare and I'd be waiting weeks or months to get this thing. All weekend long the tracking info, did not change, so I had planned to open a claim today as this was the arrival date. Tracking didn't change all morning and I was bored sitting waiting so I decided I was going outside to get some fresh air and take a walk, and just as I reached the front door of my building there is my bike with the delivery guy, he was calling me as I walked up to the door and my phone started ringing in my pocket, I said "that's good timing". Anyway I was going to just take the box, I even offered to take it but the delivery guy walked it up to my apartment door. I ordinary wouldn't write a review but this company has so many bad reviews that I had to express that, whilst some people may have had legitimate issues with Day&Ross, everything on my end went smoothly. So if your like me and look up things like the shipping company that's delivering your package and you read the reviews.....just take a deep breath. Don't panic....things just might be allright read more

Terrible. They damaged one package which they initially misdelivered. Client refused shipment but Day & Ross has failed to compensate for damages. They LOST two other shipments to two separate addresses and 90 days later have failed to either find my goods or compensate me for the lost goods. With the exception of one individual clerk, management NEVER returned my calls. Yet they chase me every week for payment for the freight! Funny thing was when I told them that I was now using other freight companies their AR person wrote me to tell me they were withdrawing my "privilege" of shipping with them. It is a privilege I can do without. Incompetence personified. read more
