I have never written a review before as I am not usually bothered too much about the occasional mistake, everybody makes them. And usually, It's a waste of my time to go write a bad review about something. HOWEVER: Used these guys 5 times now, not 1 great experience 1. I always call beforehand to make an appointment, not once have they been able to fit me in within 7 days, always over a week away, 2. even after booking an appointment and always dropping off early in the morning. only twice of 5 different experiences, has the car been ready the same day. 3. they NEVER call when you car is ready, even after asking them to call when its ready! Making me feel like the bad guy, always calling to see if its ready. 4.billed price was DOUBLE the quote on one occasion (quote $400 for 1 rear wheel bearing, 2 days later i call to see if its ready, and the bill was for $860!!) 5. one occasion, i had an appointment booked and dropped car off before opening, left keys in drop box as instructed. called that afternoon to see if it was ready, and they didn't even know the car was in their lot! 6. booked appointment to get car looked at for a safety and rotate the tires. that evening i picked up the car, got a quote for $435 for a new windshield and they forgot to rotate the tires (wheels had to be taken off for safety inspection anyways, so rotation should have been easy). found a new windshield from another shop for $212 installed, so made arrangements to get the cheaper windshield and bring my car back 2 weeks later to complete the safety inspection and have the tires rotated. after the second appointment, they completed the safety inspection and AGAIN forgot to rotate the tires! When I called them on it, they don't have time to do it until next week, and will charge me full price for the rotation, when it could have been originally done when the tires came off the first time! This shop has been 100% consistent on bad service. Before I moved to BC, I used a garage that always called when work was ready, called if it would be more than the quoted price, and always had work completed on time or earlier than expected. I don't mind waiting a few days for service, but I DO mind waiting around for a car that is overdue when I have somewhere to be and no transportation. I can move my schedule around as long as they give me an accurate estimate of when it will be ready. when a job is well done, i usually leave a case of beer for the mechanic to show my appreciation, keeping your mechanic happy is the best way to ensure good service. However this shop has not once given me what i would deem good service. Rather than having built a relationship with these guys, they have consistently given off an air of "I don't care". finding a good mechanic in a small town can be difficult, but these guys seem to think they're your only option and you have no choice but to accept what they feel like offering you. Never before have I used a mechanic with worse customer service skills more so than these guys have. there are a few options around town, and I will never be using these guys again. read more

This is one of the few honest auto repair shops that you can take your car. We have had 4 family vehicles(a Volvo, an Acura, an Infintir, a Ford) repaired there always excellent work on time and at a fair price. Also have referred people there that are also now repeat customers. Recommend them highly. read more

This shop is incompetent at best. They quoted us 426 to replace the rotors. Ordered the wrong rotors twice not once . Then had the audacity to turn the rotors and charge us more than the original quote. Don't go here if you can help it. It is sad that this very unpleasant experience had to taint my whole Fernie experience. read more
