Always a friendly crowd. We saw some faces that we knew from a while ago at the other campus, so it was nice to catch up. A little further drive for us, so we will stay going to GPC regularly...but this was fun. If you are looking for a friendly, Bible-centered, contemporary Christian church, check it out.

The pastor -Bob is the son of the prior pastor and he is dedicated to preaching according to the scripture. I was taught to run the sound here briefly when I was was still in school and my wife and I returned yesterday for a service. I was reminded of lots of memories and we attended the covered dish after the service which was very nice. The food and fellowship was wonderful and the spirit of the Lord is evident in the members. The church also has a day-school for preschoolers that I happened to attend as a kid. I recommend them for the same reasons as the church because they care and God's teachings are important to the school. The worship team is another reason to appreciate Oakwood, they lead the service in song and are a talented group of musicians and singers. I always leave feeling uplifted and if I have a concern for prayer it is usually shared by the group. Not only does the church have many strengths, but they support missionaries and good causes outside of the church. I have participated in a few events over the years and will always feel welcome here. I hope to continue bringing my son here.

They do donuts and coffee every Sunday morning after the 9 A.M. Mass. They consistently host spaghetti dinners, fish dinners every Friday of Lent, sell homemade Easter eggs (milk, dark, or white chocolate filled with Pb, coconut cream, or buttercream) and dipped pretzels, BBQ chicken dinners, pretzel sandwiches, and have "Soup"er Bowl Sunday soup sales. I highly recommend coming here for a bite to eat even if you're not Catholic!

Was visiting the area with some old friends from the Navy and we needed a church with an early…read moreMass. St Joseph's featured a 7:30 Sunday Mass. It's a large and attractive Church whose architecture is probably what I would call a mixture of traditional and modern. You enter through the narthex where they had a hand sanitizing station and door openers to greet you and lead You towards the ushers. Usher seated you in the pews which have been arranged for social distancing. The main sanctuary has soaring ceilings and the floor descends towards the altar. Overall it's a large Church which I would estimate seats 700 to 800 worshipers. They were very welcoming to visitors and the mass was pretty standard. The priest gave a good homily and the service was about 50 minutes long. After Mass they served complimentary coffee and donuts as you exited. They have three masses on Sunday and the priest mentioned that starting in November 7:30 Mass would be changed to 8:00.
