A presence in the Hummelstown community since 1753 Zion seeks to lift up the name of Jesus as well as to offer ministry that lifts up the community, the individual, and the world. They are a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) one of the largest Lutheran bodies in the country. They confess the Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In their preaching and teaching they trust the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe. As a congregation of the ELCA, they affirm the ELCA's official Confession of Faith which identifies the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, (commonly called the Bible), the Apostles', Nicene and Athanasian Creeds, and the Lutheran confessional writings in the Book of Concord as the basis for their teaching. Zion is a friendly , accepting church with a wonderful church family. The music is great. They offer live streaming as well in-person worship. Pastor Dave is a wonderful teacher and I enjoy his sermons. If anyone is looking to find a church home, I recommend trying Zion.
