She has also put together a team of temporary helpers that can fill in as needed with any of the "coworkers". Everyone I have met has been friendly and there is a nice diversity of tennants. Physically, the space is great as she keeps a rotating display of local artist's work hanging on the walls and also does gallery nights. I would highly recommend Creative Coworking for anyone looking for some shared office space or mailing address on the North Shore of Chicago.

I was told I needed approval for my chairs. I e-mailed and texted 2 of them several times. Never got an answer. Finally moved it in when they weren't looking, nobody ever noticed. We hosted a free educational event there. The board rooms were part of my membership. We were compliant with all the rules, we had the exact number of guests allowed, brought all our own equipment, and left it cleaner than we found it. The owner called me aside and said I had an "unauthorized event". I have a confirmation for a reservation. He had one ridiculous thing after another. After I successfully defended myself against each one of his outrages and false accusations, largely from a misinterpreted security video he had been studying, he said we looked through the cabinets. He accused me of touching his wine bottles. What we did was grab some ice (out of a very dirty ice box). He said he "felt robbed," called the cops and cancelled our memberships. I wish I could add the timelapse of the rager I threw! But since I can't picture this...a doctor giving a free informational seminar to patients. He told the cop he was entitled to a $500. For the reservation I made in advance, gave the receptionist all the details of what we would be doing, and is included in my membership.

Carrie, who was our main contact, was communicative and responsive! We found Loft 329 after needing to change the venue last minute from my original one. This is a high end complex, but without the pretentiousness you would find in the North Shore and/or the upscale neighborhoods in Chicago. The facilities and amenities are all first-class, and everything is always clean like a five-star hotel. As for my unit itself, all of the appliances and furnishings are beautiful. Just as important, they did not cut any corners in terms of the walls and floors, so I do not hear any noise at all from my two next-door neighbors, or from the apartment below. Nothing major has ever happened since I lived here. But the very minor things like the specialty light bulbs needing replacing, Rey and Jason from the maintenance team have always come out the same day to take care of stuff like that. The area is perfect in terms of nearby shopping, restaurants, groceries, pharmacies, etc... Although living here is not cheap, dollar for dollar, this might be the best bang for your buck in all of Lake County. I do have some pause writing this, because Nathan (the property manager) might see it, and then raise my rent when it's time to sign my next lease. Please don't do it Nathan. Early termination on rental -stayed 6 months vs 12- was a $7100 fee The $300 nurses rebate was clawbacked at early termination plus ruined a full day of vacation when they would not take a check for $300 from my wife. The are hard nose about everything being done on their site (when it works). Signup was a nightmare. It took multiple attempts & multiple days with added stress -ugh. The whole signup & term process is too rigid. I would prefer to deal with a single owner vs corporate American.

I had heard of shared spaces but wasn't sure if it would work. I shopped around looking at various shared spaces and decided to go with Co-Lab. It was the best deal out of all the different co-working places. Miguel was very accommodating, loved the idea of having an IT person on site, and was able to set up a space suitable for my type of business. The best part is that I'm saving so much money running my business from here verses renting an office alone and adding up the cost of Internet, Office supplies, furniture, etc. Co-Lab is in a vibrant area with lots of businesses nearby. I've been able to expand my clientele just by being in this location and still maintain my existing clients. My clients even commented on the space, saying that it's such an improvement compared to my old location. They love that we can meet in a professional conference room, complete with white board, and flat screen TV. I no longer have to worry about printer supplies, internet expense, electric bills, high rent, it's month to month, no risk or commitment and the free coffee is a nice touch! The management is on top of any maintenance issues and respond very quickly. Like any new building there are some minor issues but they have all been solved. The management has always been professional and helpful. The tenants I've met are kind and friendly. I have recommended the building to others because this is a nice place to live.
