I ordered an eclair and a danish with my coffee; the taste was good, but it was evident that the pastries were not fresh. Whether they were leftover from the previous day or purchased from Sam's wasn't clear, but it was a disappointment. All of this being said, I'll be back-i'm hoping for improvement on the pastries, and I really want to try their barbecue and burgers.

The pictures on Facebook made the food look really good and we weren't disappointed when we got there. I got the biscuits and gravy with a sausage and over easy egg. My wife tried their special, hashbrowns with bacon and a scrambled egg with cheese. We also finished it off with the cream cheese, cherry cinnamon roll and their regular cinnamon roll and also a caramel cookie. It was all delicious. It was all cooked to our liking and came out very quickly. The staff and management was very friendly. Very serviceable. The place wasn't very large, but it showed rooms to grow. Also very clean as well. If you're going between Conway, Greenbrier and Heber Springs and you're driving through equipment Arkansas, I do suggest you stop there and try their breakfast or from what I heard from other people their hamburgers are really delicious. My favorite sampling of the morning was the pine cone, a gigantic fried cinnamon roll. For $1.99. No joke. Wow, this was great. Also had a bite of an apple fritter, which was OK. The pine cone is good enough to be 4 stars, and the service was fabulous. They should get a sign on the road! I give it 3 stars because it's a nice spot to eat too many calories. We were also located where we watched the workers hand filling their donuts with various fillings. So, if a freshly filled donut is one of your pleasures, then Lake Plaza Donuts is worth a stop in the morning. I pulled up to the drive thru, checked in on Yelp, and had to do a double take when I saw that all the Shipley's signage had been replaced by "Shimmery Donut" signs. But, I decided to give them the ol' college try AFTER discussing 2 major concerns with the girl working the drive thru window. Me: But what about the product, has it been salvaged? She: Yes, it's the same. Me: ok, PERFECT! (Crisis averted!) But, the crisis was NOT averted at all! They are like $2 and some change, forgot the exact price. I was sad to discover that these are not real croissants that they sell. :( not the flaky, buttery pastry you can get in a bakery or even Panera or Starbucks. They aren't even in a crescent shape. They're made to be shiny on top for some reason. You don't feel *as* guilty eating one of their breakfast sandwiches on a "croissant" here as you would at a different place since it's a different type of baked item. Oh well. Still tasty. Just not a real croissant.
