Decor a bit dated but clean and bathroom very good with normal and rain shower heads. Our room rate gave us breakfast and access to the executive lounge. In the lounge there was all day tea/coffee, incredible afternoon tea with 3 tier cake stand of goodies and drinks from 5pm also with 3 tier snacks/canapés. I think we got half the room rate back from those things alone. Very friendly staff. Recommend

Incredible artwork grace the exterior walls of the building as well as every inch of the lobby. My room was comfy and decorated with more art pieces and floor to ceiling mirrors on most of the walls. Only complaint is the shower head had very little water pressure making showering a little difficult. I highly recommend the hotel for the experience and location.

They even have teasmaids and TVs! If I had one quibble it's that the lights in the bathroom are on a timer and go out after a few minutes - usually just as you're trying to get the soap out of your eyes. The bar on the ground floor is great and they do backpacker specials like a BBQ once a week which are great value. Failing that, there's a cracking Chinese a few doors up ;)

When we walked in we were greeted and checked in. Our room was on a very high level and the views were amazing. We also had $100 hotel credit which we used at the bar one night for snacks and drinks. We were welcomed into our room with a cute little gift baggie with chocolates and a card. The room was amazing- had everything you'd need including a microwave which I think some other New Zealand hotels were missing. They had valet parking and providing a service called Turn Down Service. Someone knocked on our door around 6pm to ask if we're interested- I was curious so I asked questions/- what's included, it means they tuck you in, give you tea, and chocolate. I was scared I had to tip so we denied but she was so sweet and offered us the chocolate and tea which is happily took. We also had another instance when I was attempting to warm up leftovers but missing utensils and called downstairs and they delivered three to go utensils packs on a platter like a proper delivery, it was incredible. I have no bad words about this hotel, good proximity to of the main area/ walking distance. Highly recommend if staying in Wellington!

To be on Lambton Street is 10 minutes walk. To go to where the restaurants near the water is like 20-25 minutes. I highly recommend Whitebait and Charley Noble. I explained my ride was running late by an hour but was on the way to one person and a few minutes later another came down and banged on my door shouting " WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LEAVE?" . I was quiet and respectful both nights I stayed here so I didn't understand why you would treat someone who is paying you that way. The rooms are small and dingy and the whole place is super creepy as well. Stay here if you want rude service by scary people.
