This newly rebuilt hotel is the nicest place to stay in Dalhart. The rooms are spacious with a couch, large desk/workspace, comfortable bed, wet bar, and large bathroom. Continental breakfast is included and well done! The one thing I will say is the rooms were definitely designed by men, there's nowhere to hang anything. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. After we checked in we started walking down the hall and noticed that the carpeting was ripped up everywhere and there was instruction every room. When we got to our room it was noisy so we tried to contact the front desk and every time we called we a message saying that they were screening calls and would not accept our call. We walked to the front desk and spoke to the clerk who said the construction would end by 7 o'clock or 730 which is 30 or 60 minutes. At 8 o'clock we walked back to the front desk and the exact same clerk said that they did not know when the construction was going to be done. I said I was leaving and demanded a refund. After leaving a review the general manager left a remark saying that we would not be refunded because we used the room for 90 minutes. Avoid this hotel because they will overcharge you and it is a terrible experience. read more

This was surprisingly a very pleasant stay!! Very clean lobby with kind receptionists! We made a mistake on which hotel we had booked and they were very friendly and helpful over the phone and in person. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. The AC machine was broken and sort of hanging from the wall, but still worked great. The bathroom was also very clean and the shower had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! Loved that it didn't have a shower curtain but actual glass doors. Breakfast wasn't too bad either! Nothing over the top, but definitely more supplied and bigger variety than most standard hotels. They also had a big ice machine and washers! Pool was closed though. Would happily stay here again if i'm ever out there!! read more

Stayed here twice (1st and last nights) of a recent motorcycle trip. As mentioned in other reviews, it appears the rooms have been remodeled relatively recently. Room was clean and had a lot of outlets which helped for charging devices. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. This is exactly what I would expect for around $120/night--especially since the Hampton Inn across the street is over $180. Not a lot of options nearby (walking distance) for food--but there is a good Mexican place (la Cabana) that is walkable. Ate there both nights. Very local and legit Mexican food. read more

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Walking in, everything seemed fine, but after we got checked in and started to walk down to our rooms, we quickly realized we were wrong. Every single room (except ours) was under construction. Materials were left in the hall, power tools were running, and music was playing. Despite all the red flags, we tried to settle in. At 7:00 pm, I walked to the front desk to ask when construction stopped for the night. I was told 7:30 pm. At 8:00 pm, the hammering on the wall behind our heads became unbearable. I tried to call the front desk and received a message that "calls were being screened and my call was not accepted at this time". Clearly, they were not accepting incoming calls to book rooms, but accepted our booking when we walked in to ask about availability. I walked to the front desk, asked a second time about the noise, and was told by the same front desk worker that she did not know when it would stop. We demanded a refund and packed our bags. When we turned in the key, we didnt get so much as a simple "sorry". Even if every other room in town is booked, you're better off sleeping in your car. Not only that, but after our 90 minute "stay" in the room, the owner now refuses to refund us because we left trash in the garbage can. When we checked in to another hotel in town, and shared about our experience, none of the local staff were surprised. Obviously, this hotel's reputation speaks for itself. There is something wrong with the core of this hotel. Our family has three rooms here and all seem to be having the same problems including sinus issues at night. The smell, the smell is putrid. No fresh air to be had, no fans in bathrooms. In my opinion, we should move but have nowhere to go during XIT. Not sure what to do besides warn other people until this hotel has been inspected by the health department. Particles in the cloudy pool to not be forgotten. Ceiling falling down from water damage in pool area. We used it, regret it. Might have to eat it and spend money next door. It's bad. Oh, tried to call Wyndham and explain the situation. Guess what? They played Bon Jovi for 30 minutes with not a soul to help us, that was after they ended the call while on hold the first time. We travel a lot, this one is super nerve wracking and concerning. I was placed in room 119, which is unique in that it is across from the ice machine and shares a wall with the laundry room. It also happens to be next to the maintenance closet. It's also next to the rear exit door. I would not recommend this one room. I posted a review to the company page and the owner was nice enough to call me on the to apologize and offer a refund. He was a very nice person and understood the problems with that room, I therefore deleted my old review and updated it with this one. read more

My husband and I stopped here as we we're coming off of a 10 hour drive and needed a place to stay overnight. I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews but glad we stopped. It was very clean and despite the loud birds outside, we didn't hear a thing, not even the truck traffic or the trains that seemed to be a concern from the reviews we read. We had the fan running all night (maybe that helped); the bed was comfortable, the room quiet, and the room was very clean. Best of all, the breakfast was very good. The bread and bagels were individually wrapped in plastic to prevent germs which I was impressed by. All in all, it was the beat stay from the previous 3 nights. I staTed going to Derby KS to get my 91 year old Mom and it was tight in bedroom for me and my wheelchair. Maria and Elma came in got me a cot and made room as best accessible as possible. They wet so kind and wanted ever thing to work. It did. We came back on the way home. Maria had made sure bed was right height and lots of room for me and my wheelchair to get around. I can't say that this is the worst hotel I've stayed in, but decidedly it's not the best either. Somewhat dated, mildew on the edges of the built in soap tray. A strangers hair in the shower, albeit blonde, but still gross as I found by it getting stuck to my nude showering body. Somewhat musky smell as we entered the lobby. The continental breakfast ran out of milk by 8, with an hour left to closing, even the Belgian waffle tasted off as though the inside of the dispenser could use a good scrubbing and I usually love making those at hotels. The front desk staff on our arrival was not rude, but not welcoming or inviting either. Rates were in the 70s without price line as 10 pm walk in for 2 adults. I'd drive on by if bizzare circumstances ever brought me through this city again. I'd rate it 2.5 stars if I could. Not horrible,not a OK, but meh it'll get us through one night. read more

For the price point and convenience, this will definitely do. We brought our dog with us, and they easily accommodated us with a small fee. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a nice open grass space for the dog to stretch her legs. We really only noticed that the walls are a bit thin because our protective dog barked at every closed door, but had she not been with us, it would not have been noticeable. Stayed there recently. Staff was very nice, however, the place is rundown and shows lack of interest by owner(s). They had 2 treadmills and one elliptical in their exercise room, none that worked properly. The door lock post was broken (the one the can keep people from coming into room). Light switches are located in non intuitive areas. (bathroom light is outside bathroom where the light switch for the room should be) We asked for a quiet room, since the Inn seemed to be less than 1/4 full. We had people on both sides of us and with the paper thin walls, we could clearly hear them talk as well as their TV. Missing the the Do Not Disturb door hanger, so maids were constantly knocking on our door with a coin, the disappearing before we could answer the door. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AS A PLACE TO STAY. read more

Messy work out room, temperamental faucet in room, and it's a scavenger hunt to find the light switch for the bathroom. Random screws poking out of the wall. Beds were comfortable and mostly clean, the pillow cases had spots on them, ac worked fine . The staff was friendly but lacking professionalism, in their clothing not covering all their body and they seemed to be watching their kids at the same time in the pool. Nice clean motel for a quick overnight stay. The beds were more comfortable than I expected, and the hotel was very clean and updated. The front desk staff was very courteous and prompt at check in. They offer a very limited breakfast and it wasn't bad. The breakfast also opens at 5am, convenient for workdays. We didn't use the pool, but there was an indoor pool. This motel is a disaster. As I was on a personal trip I didn't ask for a receipt. I was told the room was $127, but when I checked my credit card, the young lady night clerk apparently gave herself a $40 tip as I was billed $167. Outside there was a sign that said the motel had been totally renovated. My room (#209) had holes in the wall, tiny TV, scratched up doors, light and fan switch for the bathroom on the exterior on the hinge side of the door. Best was the only phone in the room was in the bathroom over the toilet. I complained to Wyndham Customer Care and was told the manager would contact me to fix the problem. Needless to say after 2 weeks I haven't been contacted. Do not stay at this motel. I suggest caution for staying in any Wyndham list of motels. They don't fix anything. read more

Rooms advertised as remodeled...not mine. Dingy scratched furniture, floor not detailed vacuumed. I have a dog and the maybe put me in a old room, but found 2 pills by night stand. The bed skirt is extremely dirty. Then I went to work out room, neither treadmill or elliptical worked, went to inquire at front desk if they need to turn on or something. Not 5 star but I don't expect that for a remodeled hotel. The remodeling was nicely done. New carpeting in halls and rooms, new bathroom with sink separate, nice tv, wifi worked well. New furniture hadn't arrived yet in rooms but what was there was okay, not rickety or scratched. Breakfast had good-pancakes, biscuits and gravy, omelet cereals. The room was said to be small but the furniture is new and maybe more is coming. It was not the cracker box I expected from one review. The one drawback - my husband was awakened by a train at 3:30 am. Don't know if any hotel could protect you from that. read more

At 6:30 in the morning, someone walks into my room. They better refund my money because that's bull shit. I would never stay there again. Let me begin with the end of my trip, driving back home to Colorado Springs! I was alone in my car listening to my praise and worship music and reflecting back on the past 3 days with Father God. Everything about the weekend seemed so perfect! It was truly the most fun I have had in a very very long time. All I could do was just stand in complete awe of Father God for how amazing and perfect everything had been! And at the center of it all was Days Inn! The AMAZING manager and front desk ladies, the pool and hot tub, the room, the recommendations they gave (like Dust Bowl Bar and Grill), and did I mention the AMAZING manager and front desk ladies! I cannot even begin to express how completely blown away I was by how genuinely awesome and friendly the staff is! Genuine hospitality seems like a long lost character trait nowadays in the hospitality business, so to find a place filled with a staff that is genuinely kind, friendly and caring is truly a blessing! Thank you ladies (and gentleman) of Days Inn at Dalhart for being such a huge part of making my weekend a memory I will eternally praise Father God for! read more

We stayed in this hotel almost three months ago. Suddenly a $80 charge showed by last week from this hotel that was manually keyed in as a present credit card. The staff doesn't know anything, didn't return calls, didn't have any record of charges, wanted faxed copies of more personal information for us to prove our claim. We filed a police report. The rooms were really great actually, but the primary reason we booked at this particular motel in the first place was because they said on their website that they have an indoor pool. They also have something on their exterior marquis that they have a pool. However, we were disappointed to find that the pool is closed. No water in it at all. After a 10 hour car ride, that's all our 7 year old was looking forward to doing. Please do not say you have a pool when you know that your "pool" is not a pool, but a large concrete indoor hole. read more
