When she arrived in person, three men ganged up on her, using scare tactics and bullying behavior to pressure her into a bad trade. Despite her showing valid ID (she's nearly 19), they bizarrely claimed she was only 17 and not even allowed to be in the store. Whether this was part of their intimidation or just ignorance, it's completely unprofessional and inappropriate. No young woman should be treated this way--especially by a group of adults in a business setting. This shop clearly takes advantage of people, and their tactics are shady at best. I would strongly advise others, especially younger customers, to avoid this place entirely.

The staff wrapped both well in bubble wrap and tissue paper. I carefully carried the two items home on the plane. When I got home, I gently eased apart the necklace clasp to put it on. It broke in half. A clean break along a weak line in the wooden clasp. I took pictures and prepared for a fight with the store when I called to ask for a refund or a replacement. Much to my delight, when I spoke with Sharon, she told me not to bother sending her any pictures or a copy of the receipt. She simply said, "We trust our customers. I'll just send you another necklace." And she did. Amazing. No doubt I will revisit her store when I am next in New Smyrna. In a world congested with "customer non-service departments" that might as well be saying to consumers, "ummm, well, we'll need the original receipt, a notarized affidavit about why you feel you are entitled to a refund/replacement, a copy of your birth certificate, and a video tape in real time of the moment when you realized that the item was defective.", Sharon's approach is not only refreshingly genuine customer service, but also is just downright honest.

Groovy Records is a great little record store located in the downtown Deland area. Not only do they…read morehave a ton of Vinyl for sale but they also have a decent variety of CD's, Tape cassettes, and even some 8 tracks. Groovy Records also sells new and used turntables, guitars, basses, ukuleles, amp's, music accessories such as guitar strings, banners, other memorabilia, and a variety of instructional music books for piano, guitar, and other instruments. I found a few used CDs in decent condition (with original inserts) for $1 each, which is a great deal. I'm not a Vinyl collector, mainly because I just don't have the room to store them. One thing I noticed while I was here is that two of my all-time favorite bands, Mercyful Fate and Iron Maiden Vinyls were a bit pricy. I'm not sure if it's because they are from the original production during that era or if they are just hard to come by. Mercyful Fate's Don't Break the Oath is selling for $175 and Melissa is selling for $150. Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast is selling for $100. Damn, I'm a big fan, but I couldn't justify spending that much money on a Vinyl. Alternatively, not everything here is that expensive. They are selling many other great Vinyl's in the $10-$20 price range. If you are shopping in the area, I definitely recommend stopping in to see if you can find a deal.

I spent around $200 and got $200 worth of work back. My mistake was getting comfortable, I paid in advanced $400 for the rest of my project with terrible results. As you can see in the texts this person refused to respond on multiple occasions, I paid for work around January and still around summer I was asking for my work back. By the time I got my work back there were essentially no changes. The producer added an EQ layer which someone their first semester of undergraduate could do within 10 minutes, it was nothing that I asked for and definitely not worth $400. I contacted his manager who clearly didn't want to be bothered. At this point summer was in full swing and I wanted to just have a refund of my $400 and find another studio. Of course the manager "didn't have my money" and refused. He offered to fix my project but with the low quality of work and clear annoyance with me (and I quote) "This cannot be a never ending project", I accepted that I was stolen from and moved on. DO NOT GO HERE unless you're fine losing hundreds of dollars.
