I bought a Bose bag shipping included and they cancel my order saying it was supposed to be pickup only, someone made a mistake and the Manager would not correct it, I sent him the proof, he did not do anything. do not waste your time with this store!!!!! Really nice selection of guitars new and used. Their prices are really good, even compared to eBay and Reverb. I purchased a really nice Taylor Big Baby from them and it really needed a setup to make it perfect, so a few days later I got the guitar back better than ever. read more

was in that store today..labor day saw a fender strat that I wanted to buy it was priced 20% off ask a sales person to check the price...I assume this guy was new...he comes back and tells me no its not 20% off...so I question him as to why theres a 20% off sticker on it...he says its was a mistake...granted over the years I have bought at least 20 or more guitars from this store...so I go on the website and see this guitar priced $200 less then in the store. so I only assume this guy was trying to get $200 more from me to raise his commission check....very dissappointed that this would go on from a store that I have trusted over the years. this will certainly change where I go to buy in the future. read more

This is a great music shop that had a great wide selection of gear - AND carries stuff beyond what the big chain guys generally keep in stock. I try to visit this shop whenever I'm in the area. The shop has a ton of new and used gear....guitars, amps, drums, etc...... and a great selection of effects pedals too. On this particular visit they happened to have a UA pedal that I had been interested in and I was able to try it out.......while I did not end up with the pedal, I appreciated they had it in stock so that I could make an informed decision. The staff here is always nice and the gear ranges for every budget.....high and low. If you are a musician, this is a place you should check out. read more

Went back today with the intention of getting a setup for my Fender Newporter. I was directed to Mike, the tech on duty. I told him what I wanted, and he said, "let's have a look." Took the guitar out, looked it over, looked down the neck, then told me that it didn't need a set up. The problem was in the neck. He adjusted the neck, took about 10 minutes. Handed the guitar back to me and the action was 100 times better. He said you're all set, 10 bucks. My point, they could have spanked me for the setup, which is much more expensive, but didn't. Went in over the Christmas to New Years Holiday and had a very good experience. Lots of options for beginners to professionals and the employees we worked with were very knowledgeable. Giving these guys two stars. On the upside, they have a great selection, decent prices, and some very strong sales associates. On the downside, my perspective is that their business practices are not appropriate. I was down in Daytona for vacation, and wanted to buy/rent a guitar for the trip. Instead of going to the usual Guitar Center, I tried to find a local shop to give some business to. I met a good sales guy here, and suggested what I thought was a win/win. I'd buy a new Yamaha $300 git, play it while I was on vacation, and then they would ship it home to me free; after all their website said they had free shipping. Total Entertainment sells a guitar they otherwise wouldn't, I got a guitar I liked, and nobody's really out anything since they would ship it for free anyway, according to their website. When I brought the git back for shipping home, the manager on site says she will not honor the deal. She says I have to pay almost $40 to have it shipped back. When I complain, she says she will honor the deal, but then take it out of the sales associate's pay check. Of course, this is utterly lame, and indicative of a *really* poor business or a *really* poor manager. She was either going to screw me (my manipulating me into paying for shipping) or screw some low-level sales associate, even though *HE* did right, by coming to a win/win agreement that both mad money for the store and made the customer happy. I'm a business guy and have had to please clients for years; SHE screwed up on this one, not him. Long story short, the actions of this manager demonstrate to me that I cannot trust this store to honor its word; and that means I can't do business with them. For the record, I have dozens of guitars, and spend several thousand per year on my hobby; until this manager treated me this way, some of that money was going to go to these guys. Now? None is. The store owner responded on another site, and didn't offer to fix the situation, so I have to assume that he condones this behavior. Anybody know a good guitar store in Daytona? I'm headed back down, and could use a good reference; because as nice as a store as these guys have, I can't do business with a store I can't trust. read more

Our local equivalent of Same Ash or Guitar Center. They stock sheet music, band and orchestra instruments, guitars, drums, DJ and lighting equipment and an extensive selection of karaoke CDs. The people here are friendly and quite knowledgeable; I've never felt rushed or pressured when asking for advice. It's nice to see an independent place like this survive in the age of the internet and big box stores. read more

I bought $40.00 music stand at Total today. They asked for my name and I declined to provide it. I explained that I did not want to be a part of their data base. Then the person ringing me up told me without my name they would not stand by the manufacturers warranty. It is not Total's decision as to backing a manufactuer's warranty! Then you don't try to bully customers into prodiving personal inoformation! Not the way to win future business, If I have a problem I will go back to Total and should they chose to do the right thing, they will regret it! I am contacting the manufacturer to notify them of their dristributor's behavior! I will never go back there and I suggest no one else go back either! Screw these guys! read more

Great place.. They seem to have everything from cheap to high end. Like the name says total entertainment. They also have great events.

Made a point to check out local music stores on a recent trip to Florida. Walked out of this one disappointed. Another music store that pretty much only sells and/or cares about guitar and bass related stuff. Ended up being a completely pointless trip for someone into drums. What few they had were shoved WAY in the back of the store in a separate room. No drum kits set up to even try, everything that was set up was put up on a shelf on display in such a way that you couldn't really try them and would have to ask for assistance just to check them out. The biggest aggravation, though, was the obnoxious amount of signs put up everywhere basically telling you not to touch anything. See a cymbal you like? Too bad, not only are there no demo sticks to try them out with, there's a sign specifically instructing you NOT to even touch the cymbals unless you ask an employee first. Why do I need an employee to hold my hand just to try out a cymbal? It's a music store, dude. I'm not buying anything unless I can test it first, and I'm not going to come find you just to get your permission to try out a product. Get rid of the signs, put out some demo sticks and test kits and lighten up a bit. read more

Great selection. You have to give Steve credit for being in business for over 35 years!! They have a great selection, especially for a beach town. The owner tries hard to carry the best brands.
