I was totally impressed from the minute they came to our house to talk about the project. The owner, John Gallagher, came to our house with numerous suitcases full of samples. Every other company I called asked us to come to their showroom, we could select what we wanted, and then they would come out to the house to give an estimate. John brought the showroom to our house!!! We were able to make selections, go upstairs to the bathrooms and actually see what it looked like in that bathroom. Then, while we were discussing other options and issues, he sent the selections we made to a team that was able to render what we wanted so we could see it in the dimensions of our bathrooms. This totally blew me away as we could get real-time feedback and see what our bathrooms would look like. This totally sold us on hiring Custom Bath of Nashua. Then, to have the actual renovation done by totally professional craftsmen was above and beyond expectations. Outstanding craftsmanship by each team on the project and very courteous and clean. He claimed he was capable of doing that work and we hired him in good faith. He made some egregious errors which caused flooding and water damage that was discovered in 2024. Uber our toilet the blocking was gone and the hole under our toilet was too big. He also never sealed the toilet in the floor so you could just wiggle it around in the bathroom floor! A professional contractor would never make these mistakes. Water leaked underneath our bathroom, kitchen, and dining room floors and they all had to be torn out. We had to pay for the repairs out of our own pocket so we are currently $30,000 in debt. We are still fighting with his insurance to pay for this! DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN.

I hired Jim to install new countertops, which he did a good job at, from the previous contractor…read more He also installed my new sink and tiles for a backsplash. Bad points about the job, he left shims sticking out from the countertops, which caused a space between the countertops and cabinets. I already bought thin cove molding to fill in that space once the shims were cut off. He kept telling me he would take care of it but never did. I oginally wanted small 4" X 4" tiles to be used as a backslash, but he talked me into getting bigger tiles. I don't what kind of caulking product he used but the tiles are now separating from the countertop, now I'm going have to hire someone to recaulk them. I was going to hire him for another job for painting a bedroom and to put flooring in a closet. He was telling me , I should buy new baseboards, my wood baseboards are in good condition but just needed a paint job. I wanted vinyl sheeting in a small closet off the bedroom because there is a water heater in that closet, which had carpet and was pulled up because of a water leak from the water heater. He told me he wouldn't put vinyl sheet flooring in that closet. He told me to buy vinyl plank which I did which was not cost effective for a small closet. When I told him I was buying my carpet from Home depot or Lowes, he told me so you are going to trust them to lay the carpet. He told me he could bring some carpet samples for me to look at which will be cheaper then Lowes or Home depot and that he would put the carpet in. He never bought me any carpet samples to look at. He tries to manipulate you into buying things that is not necessary and costs effective. New baseboards went back to the store and so did the vinyl plank that I bought. Bedroom and baseboards now painted, vinyl sheet used for the flooring in the small closet, new door built to my water heater closet and carpet installed by Lowes.
