After my friend's recommendation, I called Blue Fox Roofing to inquire about an estimate for a complete roof replacement. During our initial conversation, I informed him that the company that was already working on other projects on my property was fully expected to handle the roofing as well. When I called, he assured me that he could do a better job and even offered to include some extras if I chose his company. I mentioned the other company and that my insurance would cover the new roof. I provided him with the insurance company's price for all roofing-related work. He was fine with this and expressed his willingness to complete the job immediately. Since he was a professional roofer, he assured me that the job would be done correctly. I provided him with all the details that the insurance company had given me, and he reiterated that he was the right person for the job. However, during our conversation with Jay, my wife signed a contract with the other company without knowing that I was seeking this alternative bid. Consequently, I found myself under contract with the other company. Jay informed me that I had three days to cancel that contract, and if I did, he could start the job immediately. After having several conversations with my wife, I decided to cancel the first contract. The next morning, I called Jay and left a message stating that the previous contract had been canceled and that we were ready to proceed with his company. I asked him to let me know what steps we needed to take to set the job start date. I did not hear from Jay for over six hours when I called him again and explained that I was ready to move forward with his company. To my surprise, he responded that there was no reason to return my first call because the job did not pay enough for him to be interested in it. He even suggested that if I could convince the insurance company to increase its payment, he would call me back. I was shocked and felt betrayed. Now, without a roofer, I had burned the first bridge and foolishly believed in his lies and deceitfulness. Today, I am without a roof or roofer, but I am determined to find a solution. However, I will never work with companies like Blue Fox Roofing, NC. I wanted to warn others about the potential pitfalls they may encounter when dealing with this company.

Their crew entered my fenced backyard without my permission. My 80-year-old mother happened to be at my home and was apparently told what they were doing, but she is not the homeowner and I was never contacted or asked for permission to access my property. When I returned home, I found that my fence had been taken apart and was not properly secured afterward, with a panel missing. At least two of my outdoor lanterns were broken and piled off to the side, my hammock had been tossed aside, landscaping material I had intentionally placed for weed suppression had been removed, and hydrangeas I had planted had been trampled and were no longer apparent. I contacted Tree Masters and arranged to meet with them at my home to discuss the damage and give them an opportunity to make things right. They arrived approximately 45 minutes late to the scheduled meeting. What happened next was particularly concerning. During the meeting, Spencer introduced Chris to me as the homeowner of the property where Tree Masters had been working. I subsequently confirmed that Chris is **not** the homeowner. I went into the meeting hoping for a straightforward conversation: acknowledge what happened, repair the fence, address the damaged items and landscaping, and move forward as neighbors and professionals. Instead, I left the meeting with even greater concerns about how the situation was handled. Accidents can happen during tree work. What I find unacceptable is entering someone's fenced property without the homeowner's permission, leaving that property damaged and disturbed, and then handling the resulting concerns in this manner. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend Tree Masters. If their work on your property may require access to a neighbor's yard, I strongly suggest making sure that permission is obtained directly from that property owner beforehand.

We agreed to trim all to the fence line in the back, as well as trimming of a row of bushes, and two big ones in the front on a fixed price. They showed up on time the next day with a mid-size truck, with four family members, only one seemed like a professional worker. There was no chipper, and they had to cut the branches by chain saws to stack on the truck. Half way on the side, he wanted to charge $300 more to cut down a small tree, about 10-12 inches trunk on our property. I didn't have budget, so we skipped it. To the back, which was the main reason that I need to clear to the fence line, because of the branches grew from the other easement side, that have grown reaching the power line, then he threw tantrums. Upsetting, yelling, climbing on a ladder with an extended chainsaw trying to cut it. He finally cleared some of it, but I'd rather not risking to have him fall, so I gave up, kept telling him to stop. Next, this rental property was neglected by the tenants, therefore the backyard ground was littered with leaves, small branches. I assumed that was part of clean up after the job, but he said he did me an extra favor to blow them off. So, if you hire him, spelled it out. I also had another two gardeners to mow and clear the front lawn. They went ahead trimming the row of bushes and two big ones, which he supposed to do. That gave him a break.
