It is an amazing amount of food and the buffet only costs €10.00 pp. We usually only go to pick up boxes of baklava, but we really enjoyed their breakfast the last time we visited. They however only speak Dutch and Arabic, but we manage to communicate with our broken Dutch. A real hidden gem in the Eindhoven area!

I really love it and I love how delicious it is without breaking my student bank account. The place is now divided into 2 locations that are very close to each other, where one is for meals and the other is for desserts. I've had some baklava and I think something other dessert there. They were good. Service is also good. The decor is pretty nice. I really love the Turkish tapestries and also the upholsteries on the chairs. With some Turkish tea, you will forget you are in Holland! :)

I got a medium because while I was in the line I thought the scoops of dough looked kind of small, but actually because the dough is so rich I really regretted it! I should have gotten a small, because it was pretty hard to get through the medium. But I persevered because I paid €4 for that dough! Cacao has a reasonably small collection of products in my opinion but it seems to grow every time I come here, so that keeps me happy of course. I do feel that everything here is outrageously overpriced though so I really only ever come here to buy a special gift or have a SMALL serving of there hot chocolate. Really, just get the small one because this liquid heaven is heavy. So a quick note to the people I know, you must be really, extremely special to me if I bring you something from cacao!

The back of the restaurant is somewhat quieter. There were some reasonably priced wines by the glass. I had the sangiovese which was quite good. I started with the Bruschetta and my companion started with a special appetizer which was a duck crepe of some kind. I liked mine, he didn't particularly like his. As for dinner, we both had a special - Venison (hertenvlees?) which was prepared with a really rich sauce which was fruit-based and served with chips (french fries). This special was wonderful! Absolutely delicious. What didn't go so well - the service was really slow. The restaurant wasn't that busy but it took them much too long to bring out our main course. Water glasses weren't refilled and we couldn't get a hold of our waiter very easily. This is too bad. The food was very good and I would have given this place four stars if nto for the slow service. We skipped dessert since it took them so long to serve us. However, next time I'm in town, I would give the place another try. The food was too good to pass up.

The coffee is among the best that we've had in the NL (in our minds, it is equal with Scandinavian Embassy in Amsterdam). This place roasts their own beans on site, so it's the real deal. My only complaint would be that service was a bit awkward at first but got friendlier as time went on. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Eindhoven!
