My mother hired Mr. Hernandez and we filed for Asylum. the judge denied the Asylum and Mr. Hernandez did nothing else to fight for my husbands case. Letters from community members and our church were not read and our marriage license was never even viewed by the judge. This lawyer did not even bother to mention that these documents were given. I spoke with another lawyer after my husband was deported and I was asked if there was an appeal requested. I stated "no" because Mr. Hernandez said that my husband had to go back to Honduras and come back from his country. He took $3000.00 from my mother and did nothing for my husband. Don't give him your money. The only positive thing about this office was the office staff. Also, I had only spoken with Mr. Hernandez after the court date for Asylum and he was rude and told me " Oh no another angry wife calling him!" Of course I was upset but I never was rude or loud I only wanted to know what happened and what more could be done. I heard from my husband as well that detainees stated that if the case is a easy case he will do the case but if the case is difficult he will take the money and not fight for the detainees rights.
