She then set up regular e-mails through the MLS for us to look at and let her know our thoughts so she could help narrow our search for the right home. When a house suddenly came available for us to get in on quickly, she was very quick with communication both on our end and with the builder. She made sure that we were the first in on this home because she knew it wouldn't last. Plus her standing positive relationship with the builder helped us out immensely to get in on it before the house even hit the market! When I was looking for an apartment years ago I saw several realtors who didn't get that when I said "central" I didn't mean 183 and when I said "small complex" I didn't mean just shy of 500 units. When I met Nanette and we started talking about neighborhoods she instantly got exactly what I was talking about. Looking for houses actually was a lot of fun, we would meet at vegan restaurants we were both dying to try and then drive around town listening to music and laughing about a lot of the silly things you find when house hunting. Since I was using an Austin city program for low income people there was also a lot of paperwork and regulations that we had to go through and I was so happy to have Nanette with me through all of that. And she was right, we still talk two years later about how lucky we were that we didn't end up there.
