I cannot recommend DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home highly enough. After the passing of our beloved dog, Luna, we were devastated. While some might say 'it's just a dog,' anyone who has truly loved a pet knows they are a family member. The team here treated Luna--and us--with that exact level of care, honor, and respect. Tony was the one who helped me, and he was absolutely incredible. He was so kind and empathetic from the very start. He even took the time to call me the day after I dropped our girl off just to let me know she was on her way to the cremation service, which provided so much peace of mind. Remarkably, he had her ashes back to us by the very next day. What touched us most was the pickup process. They didn't just hand her over like a transaction or a 'take-out order.' Instead, Tony invited us into a quiet meeting room, brought Luna to us with grace, and sat and talked with us for a while. That small act of humanity turned a very dark, sad situation into something peaceful. As if their kindness wasn't enough, they even have a resident 'comfort dog' of their own who can attend services to help people through their grief. It's clear that Tony and the rest of the team truly understand the bond between humans and their animals. Three months after we laid our mother, Janice Graff, to rest--following a heartbreaking and poorly handled service--this funeral home finally decided to reach out. Not once has this business acknowledged their mistakes, nor offered even a basic apology. In our experience, professionalism, compassion, and accountability were sorely lacking throughout the process. Instead, we were met with dismissive comments, misinformation, and errors no grieving family should ever have to face. A business in this line of work should strive to bring comfort and respect, not add to a family's pain. I wouldn't entrust this funeral home with a stray animal, let alone a loved one. Admitting mistakes publicly would be the decent and honorable thing to do. Sadly, that seems to be too much to ask. Thank you for your attention to this matter. read more

The staff at DeMarco-Luisi did a terrific job with the services for both of my parents over the past 18 months. They were administratively efficient, providing excellent customer service and they were compassionate throughout the process, especially during the church services and the gravesite burial. I cannot describe the warmth and compassion provided by those running this funeral home. Although we had to drive two hours (round trip) a few times to make arrangements, I am so glad we did and I highly recommend this family-run business because of my (and my family's) experience. My family had the incredible misfortune of having a different, local funeral home harass us with phone calls, pressuring us for our business throughout the very day we got the awful news of our loss. It created additional distress during such a difficult time for us. We knew we needed to look elsewhere. After a few calls, we found ourselves in the compassionate and gentle care of the DeMarco-Luisi funeral home. They took the time to go over the process with us and answer any questions we had. This wasn't treated like a business transaction (like with the local place), but more like they were there to provide assistance as we transitioned through this stage of grief. We were seen as a family in mourning rather than a bunch of dollar signs. They were easy to contact when we had additional questions or concerns, and they worked to meet our needs as best as possible. I wish I could better put into words how grateful I am for the experience we had here, but I don't want to give more details about our loss out of respect for my family's privacy. I was switched around between different people.I did not pick out a casket, one was chosen for me. As his wife my husband asked that I plan everything, yet a sister was allowed to take control without my knowledge and I was pretty much eliminated from the funeral. I was told there would be one limo and never received it. At least the funeral was decent but not what my husband had wanted. read more
