We entered and found a small lounge (for first responders etc) and someone came out to show us the merchandise. We bought a few bags of coffee and shirts and got to see the production side too. Super nice people, great cause, and GREAT coffee!! We will be ordering from them in the future. It would be awesome to see them grow but keep humble as one of their shirts says. The other barrista, an orientalist male, had the worst, rudest, and condescending attitude ever. This is the second time, and honestly it's cringeworthy. My daughter in law asked him if she could add the steamed milk to the Misto, (as we like just a shadow), and his unbelievably rude comment was "no! I dont know where your hands have been". And my daughter in law is polite, and said nothing. My question is we don't know where his hands have been, however we know his verbal language and customer skills come from the sewage pipes. He makes the Hale coffee experience hateful. if he is around, don't buy, there is coffee upstairs at Farm Boy, and two minutes down the street the Padaria. Zero stars for him.

We ordered a Oat milk Flat White, drip coffee, a London Fog, a fruit loops cookie and blueberry muffin. My son was excited to see a London Fog on the menu. The flat white was smooth and flavorful. The muffin was very fresh, having just come out of the oven. Hale Coffee is a cashless establishment. If we are in the area we would stop in again.

Selection wasn't huge, there was a few beers on tap with 4 samples in a flight ($14). Glasses for the flights were quite BIG! Please see pic. The DDIPA/stout were standouts. My favourite of the day was Mortadella sandwich. Their Egg Benedict comes with two poached eggs on a crispy brick toast which seemed quite unique. Staff were -- literally everyone I encountered that day -- so friendly and knowledgeable. I had a chance to brief tour to their roasting room and the lab which was really cool. Appreciated my coffee even more after learning their passion on the coffee.
