During my first visit, I had the most friendly waitress, who helped me with the menu and chatted a bit (as I was dining alone, this was much appreciated). I've since seen her two additional times at the restaurant (and those that I dined with later on also found her very friendly). The spot is very nicely adorned, it is a bit dark, but with cheerful accents and lighting. I've never had trouble being seated quickly (though I'm not sure how busy it would be in the summer). The food has been excellent during my visits. I've tried a number of the pasta dishes (though I've never tried the 'make your own' pasta as I'm not very skilled in determing what tastes good together when up to my own devices). Everything was fresh and flavorful! A note, however, is that you can order smaller portions...which I don't think is listed on the menu. The regular portion was quite large for me, but I did my best when trying to finish it! All in all, this was my favorite dining spot in the area. The food was delicious and while service can be a bit slow, it is MUCH quicker than the other places I dined at during my visit. This is appreciated when you've had a long day at work and just want to eat and head off to relax. Definiely a must visit if you're in the neighborhood - fresh, tasty pasta in a nice atmosphere with really friendly staff (and reasonable prices!).

As someone who isn't from the Netherlands I ordered these expecting them to be good. The tortilla chips were too salty and they had three sauces on the side, not even overtop of the nachos. First wine we had was the Basa, very very fresh and fruity and lovely for a summers day. The second glass was a Sauvignon Blanc which was very good as well. €26 for 4 glasses of wine and bread is good I would say. If you're here with a group of friend, I do recommend getting the "Borrelplank van de Markt" or the "Mixed Platter" to share. You get to try some local bites this way. The difference is that the mixed platter also contains fried foods. This place came highly recommended by our tour guide. Had I just been walking through on my own, I definitely would not have stopped here. If you walk down this street, you'll understand why -- there are just so many other options to choose from.
