Was staying at a nearby hotel in Texel with the family and most restaurants seemed to be closed on a Tuesday, except this one. Not many people were sitting outside on the large patio, but with no other options we came here for dinner. Nothing too fancy here but they had some lamb options, fish, ribs, burgers, salads, etc. I ordered their lamb stew and was so happy I did. It was delicious! Perfect for a raining evening. It was warm and hearty, filled with pieces of meat and came with a side of either potatoes or rice. I got the potatoes and they were good. They also brought out sides of broccoli with pieces of bacon in it, and French fries. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. The service was fast and friendly. Located in the middle of the busy restaurant square in Den Burg, and very busy. Quick service in the beginning with ordering drinks and food, after that it was like the waitress went invisible. Ordered hamburger, which was (I think) pre-bought, and stuffed with the spice-mix that the Dutch seems to love to put in their burgers (yuck). Also ordered some kind of gratinated sandwich, which you needed a chainsaw to get through. read more
