We took our 11 and 14 year old nephews here. The little one was def kind of scared, but we all had so much fun. There are 2 haunted houses and the second was scary as hell! Totally worth it. It was so good, i've been to horror nights in both Orlando and Hollywood and prefer this based on the scare factor! I love how each group is in on their own, definitely makes it a lot scarier. First off, follow the directions on the website, not on your GPS's Tully location (that's probably an old location). They are right next to the mall, parking lot area around Macys and AMC. You'll see big white tents and ornament lights. It's combined with a pumpkin patch/bouncy house area right next to it, so you'll see plenty of families/kids around. They only have a few (literally 3) porta potties which are not stocked or well kept. The haunted house was easy to access, no line outside the tent on a Saturday night. When you get your tickets and enter the tent, the place is set up like a midway/carnival, really great decor, some booths with stuff for sale, ie, cake pops and cupcakes disguised as creepy things. They have a funny Wheel of Death which you can spin to see "how you will die", some of which include "Jealous Lover", "Drowning", "Chinese Food" and Rradiation" (yes, misspelled like that). My friend got "Haunted House", so we got a good laugh, as we got in line for the actual haunted attraction. The line wasn't too long for a Saturday. We probably waited about 10-15 minutes before entering. There's no photography allowed, and part of their rules asks that you don't spoil it for others. So I'll just tell you that my friend ditched me inside, while running away from one of the actors. There were some technical difficulties inside, seemed like they were repairing a wire, as there is some lighting in there. There were some jump scares throughout, though also a long period of just walking through and no actors at all. Groups were separated as we entered, but easily caught up to each other. There was even a group of teenage girls behind us who were grabbing onto us cuz they were scared... Wtf!?!? Lol... I will say this, they had us running at the end, the people in front of us, the people behind us, all running away, literally running for our lives. Then my friend and I laughing so hard after all of that, as we tried to catch our breath! Great ending to our night! Wear shoes you can run with, lol. The decor was pretty decent, but I think this place deserves a lot of credit for its actors and the effort they put in, which is a combination of kids and adults. They go all out trying to scare you, from the moment you enter the tent to the actual walk-through of the haunted house, to the area out front after you exit... scary clowns and whatnot... and they rarely go out of character, except for guests to take photos with them. I never go to haunted houses but this time I wanted to do something different. Before going I called about tickets the guy was beyond nice and informing he said just to show up and he had some spooky jokes lmao. Anyways it was a little hard to find maybe cause it was dark and rainy. They are rain or shine because tonight it was pouring and they were still open. We were greeted outside they were so nice and informed us it was really wet. I suggest boots and a jacket because some parts are a little open. When I say I hate scary things I was definitely scared but it was SOOOOOOOO good. It's a good amount of time to walk through. I highly recommend Im definitely telling my friends to come. read more

"GIRL, I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU GOT US TICKETS TO THE CIRCUS", said my naive, unsuspecting friend who we tricked to drive the three of us towards the giant white tent. And yes, I know, I know... that's quite evil. However, we had a really fun experience here! For 2016, they offered two themed mazes: Fear O' Phobia and Grimm's Fairy Tales. The actors here are highly interactive and the decor and props are extremely impressive. You will be able to see that they put a lot of thought and creativity into the dark mazes! Entering as a small group, the pacing is great as you don't see other groups in front of you or behind you and thus, intensifying the scare factor. They had my previously mentioned friend, who is quite the big and tall guy, screaming loudly and finding himself trying to run or being cornered in the maze multiple times. To see what days they are open for the season, you can check out their calendar on their website. In terms of admission price, it is $20 per person. There are discounts available if you can find them, such as Groupon! Parking is also free in their lot. Waste of time and money! Didn't space groups out enough! We were the 5th group and the very first group slowed down and stopped. So didn't even get a jump scare because the actors were focused on the front group. Also it's also not really terrifying if you let your actors act normal an hour before you guys open. As they were taking of costumes and being friendly with people. No professionalism at all. Also while waiting one of the clown actors kept touching my girlfriends horn. Very un wanted. On their website it states that there will be social distancing. Non what so ever I had an actor right into my face. I get it everyone is vaccinated but if they're going around touching and posing with other guest still a chance to spread. read more

Pretty scary..I went with my boyfriend and he thought it was pretty scary too. Actors were good and they actually helped direct you to the next room.... For more scares haha. Be aware.. There are some creepy clowns. One of them low key made me tear up from fear because I'm scared of clowns haha! Overall they did a great job with decorations. One of the workers said the best time to go is on the weekends and towards the end of the month because that's when they have the most actors. Also, all the actors are volunteers! Isn't that cool? So they don't open the haunted house unless they have an adequate amount of actors. The worker said Wednesday and Thursday are their slower days. Excuse my tardiness on this review, but I simply cannot neglect writing a review for this place, especially since it's a smaller and lesser known haunted attraction! Dead Time Dreams impressed me as the affordable, yet still creepy and scary haunted attraction option in the South Bay. There are two haunted houses: The Church and The Meat Factory. $15 ticket gets you entrance to both. As you're waiting to get your ticket, there is a "pre-show" set up, where you might get a scare or two out of it! Of the 2, The Church wins. There's definitely more interaction between attendee and actors, and you get to "walk through" some scenes, rather than view it from a 3rd person. I didn't really get the "church" theme too much, but the scares were good and plentiful throughout. The "ring" girl hobbling towards us in the strobe light was probably the freakiest! The Meat Factory didn't really scare me much, but it put on a good effort and a good theme. The actors are great, well-trained, and really get into their charactor. A gripe that I have is that they are fairly short houses, which is why it's great they have 2, but they need to space the groups out a bit more. I caught up with the group in front of us, and they got all the scares. However, the actors inside the house really knew what to do and would BLOCK our way, basically stalling us (and scaring us in the process) to leave some room between the groups. Afterwards, the kids can go to the pumpkin patch, or down the giant slide. (which i shamelessly did twice). Free parking and accessible location. Decided to try this place out because of the worsening reviews we saw for Pirates of Emerson. My younger kids 14 and 15 finally wanted to try a haunted house, now was it worth the price? I honestly don't think so. We paid $29.95 each for VIP passes, front of the line and repeat. There were only 2 mazes which they do not specify online. They just mention VIP includes the two mazes, which leads me to assume there was more. Also, the mazes were large but seriously lacking in actors. The ones that were there got us good, but they were far in between. I think if they had more staff outside and in, it would've been better. Also if they had other things to do, like games or something else, it would be worth the price. Would I recommend it for a first timer? Yes but don't pay the $30. Dead Time Dreams is an fearsome all-volunteer based team that comes together from Oct 6-Nov 5 to give their patrons a great scare. Each year, 40-50 of these Halloween enthusiasts join forces to both build and staff the event. Steve Dell, the founder, is an overall calm guy but when he talks about his project and, especially, the team who comes together to build and staff the houses, he is as animated as the props themselves. If it weren't enough to try to put this whole operation on year after year, add to it the fact that Dead Time Dreams has new themes every year. Yes. Every year, everything changes. Steve says this adds to the excitement for both patrons and the volunteer scarers who no doubt dig the novelty this brings. This years attractions are DethworX (the scarier of the two for us) and The River Styx (a lot of potential, will be awesome as it is staffed up leading up to Halloween). The haunted houses themselves are legit, filled with handmade props and decor and staffed by people who really enjoy getting solid scream from their guests. They do a great job at spacing the groups so that you're never packed together which means every group gets the best scares. We did visit the first week of October which is slow for any Halloween event, but we are sure that as the month goes on and more people staff and attend, the thrills in these houses will well meet expectations. The lines to get into the houses are not bad either. Granted we went on a slow weekend, but they have several characters frightening and entertaining guests in the lines who do an amazing job at maintaining character. Adding to the communal theme, even the plot of land that the haunt occupies is given freely to the team by the owner of the very large and quite successful pumpkin patch and family fun zone next door. We are well past the age limit on these inflatable slides and bumper boats, but we totally would've if we could've. Steve pays the free rent forward to the vendors (psychics, artists, game operators and more) who staff the Midway of Terror, a free zone for patrons between houses or who are just looking for more festive and spooky thrills. These vendors pay nothing to be there and they keep everything they make and we think that's awesome. It adds to the community vibe and also keeps the visitors entertained while they wait for their turn to scream. There are also plenty of mischief makers such as Doctor Gearshaft & Tiny the Clown wandering about looking to sneak up on an unsuspecting guest. All in, we at @sf.activities think this group of Halloween freaks does a frightfully great job and we highly recommend checking them out! 10/28/23 went in with my fam and had a good time . The attractions were minor walked passed many empty halllways but you can just tell the actors are giving their all to scare people . Especially a while and black clown towards the middle he was the highlight of the maze was really focused on the scare factor. The live band was the cherry to top was fun def recommend. My group was looking for a good old fashioned Great America- Halloween haunt like scare. We were disappointed by our first stop at the fear overload scare attraction in Newark and we're losing hope in feeling that kind of scare until we found the dead time dreams attraction! We were especially excited to go in when we saw a group of people run for their lives from an actual chainsaw. All the actors were really great and the costumes and makeup were all so creepy! The suspense I felt going from one actor and not knowing if I was being followed or watched was never ending. Afterwards, we spoke to one of the volunteers, Sarah, she was very kind and informative on other really good haunted houses in the area! And also told us that a lot of the actors were from our beloved Great America's Halloween haunt! Which explained why it felt they were so seasoned. 10/10 will go again! read more

It's a fun place to go to for haunted houses, especially during halloween. There were two haunted houses one can enter on each ticket. One was 7 deadly sins and other was Demon House. Wait line for 7 deadly sins was way more than demon house for some reason. Not super scary as the number of actors were less. They were a bit predictable too. Knocking off one star for that. It's really fun to go with friends and family as they have some beautiful spooky decorations and you will see lot of people in costumes. Some actors outside the haunted houses are awesome and unpredictable. I liked that. Overall it was a fun experience and fun place. read more

It was my first time to experience an Halloween haunted house and I had so much FUN! The whole experience was great... It was really dark and raining that night, so no line, really short waiting time and exteriors in the maze were really creepy! This place features 2 mazes, the left one (fearophobia) is really scary, very realistic, great decoration but the right one (Grimm fairy tales) is closer to a dark, horror tale.The "forest" part of it is that you have to cross is really impressive. Actors in both mazes are amazing. They are all volunteers. There are some acrobats as well doing some crazy stunts even one guy on stilts and another one was crawling vertically against the walls!!! Don't tough up, just let yourself go and let yourself get scared, it's a lot of fun. First experience for me and it was amazing. 20$ par person but many 10$ off coupons available everywhere. you can spend an excellent evening for cheap there (groupons offer $29 for 2 I believe) Free, large parking. I'll start this review by saying that I was never a fan of haunted houses, scary movies, and anything remotely creepy. Thus, I never had the intention of even passing by this attraction, let alone going in. But one fateful Friday, my "friends" managed to trick me into going into the attraction and surprisingly, I survived. The first thing that caught my eye was the giant tent that housed the two haunted mazes. Naively, I had thought that my friends had gotten us tickets to the circus! The excitement soon left my body as I read the words "Dead Time Dreams", written across a sign plastered on the outside of the tent; along with it, a giant clown head. Needless to say, I was not in the most stable condition while entering the tent. The plus side to the situation was that parking was free.. At least the car would be safe. The prices are very reasonable, with each ticket being $20; although I hear that coupons for tickets at discounted prices were available. The employees selling the tickets were very friendly and helpful. But besides them, all the other employees maintained character. They were very engaging and took every opportunity to try to scare my group. Likewise, the props were a lot better than what I was expecting. When I wasn't screaming my head off, I found myself really enjoying being immersed in this terrifying world that they created. Of course, one haunted house is never enough. So with the purchase of one ticket, customers were able to go through two different mazes, as well as explore the tent, which housed a bunch of little attractions and even an area to watch some horror films. My tips would be to pace yourself and try to enjoy the experience. Also, don't overreact and scream constantly because the staff will aim for you (I speak from personal experience) At one point, my friends were able to walk past hiding scarers because they were waiting to scare ME. First time at this haunted house! $20 per person gives you access to 2 haunted mazes. From the outside, it doesn't seem like there's much going on. But once inside, it gets spooky, scary, and fun! Each maze will take you about 5-15 minutes long to finish. All the actors takes their time to scare you, and it made my first experience an awesome one. At first, we thought it was going to be boring. But once we got entered the maze, the adrenaline started kicking in! I didn't give this maze a solid 5 star rating, because I felt like it was very short for the amount we paid ($60 for 3 people). Overall, it was still a great experience.
