I had them come out and replace a hose bib, a shower cartridge and asked about my toilet that was clogging a little too frequently for which they recommended a new toilet with wider piping. I'm very happy with the quality of the work and I signed and paid for it and yes I saw the prices before I agreed to the work, but I should have looked closer based on what he initially told me. Ryan initially told me that the shower cartridge would be about $300 and the toilet about $800, but they ended up being $396 and $948. $350 labor to replace a $50 hose bib. $350 for the half hour install labor on the shower cartridge and ~$500 to install the toilet all seem rather excessive. They don't itemized costs for any of these things so I don't have specifics. Definitely going to shop around next time. read more

Everything about Dean's is awesome, except the price. They're a bit high with their job-based pricing versus labor-based pricing. But making the appointment, time to get an appointment, service when they arrived, and friendliness, all top notch. Prices just high for fairly simple work. Now they've introduced this "Family Plan" subscription... Feels like a bit of a money grab. Not a fan of this. Not transparent with regard to labor and parts, not knowledgeable about doing simple plumbing work and will not honor promised "additional" discounts due to their inability to complete their own work. I Received an excessively large initial quote at time of their first visit to finish previous work they started a few years ago (connect a Gas line they installed under concrete to a fire pit I purchased later). I requested an itemized invoice but was told "they don't do that". I was skeptical that it should cost $1K to complete the work. They quickly reassessed and cut it in half (that was good...but why they came to that conclusion so quickly makes me question the initial quote). There were 2 failed attempts and thus rescheduling, to complete work. Prior to the 3rd attempt, the supervisor called me and promised it would work the next time and voluntarily offered another "deep" discount for all our troubles. 3 days after it was finally completed, I recieve and invoice with $25 off. I called about it and learned that the supervisor "does not work for them anymore". This must have happened within 1 week. Now, the individual I had to deal with will not recognize that $25 is "not" a deep discount. She just kept referring to the mark down from the over-inflated original cost as the "deep discount". All in all, this company is very shady and I will not refer them to anyone looking for Plumbing work. They do not seem to know what they are doing, (the actual work required or when quoting cost of work), nor being transparent about their costs. I have no choice in this matter because a member on their team no longer works for them and it is likely considered "heresay". I do finding it interesting that the member very recently no longer works for them. It would be nice though that they would at least acknowledge that he made concessions to current clientele and uphold them. read more

I've use this company for close to a decade and always had good luck until recently. The water heater they installed in my home 8 years ago for $2k recently went out, so they came to install a new one that is the same type. This time though they charged over $5,600. I found the water heater they installed costs around $2k and the plumbers were onsite 3 hours. I came to the logical conclusion they ripped me off. I don't recommend using this company. read more

They are more expensive than other plumbers that Ive hired. I called days ahead and told them about the jobs I needed done. They underestimated the manpower needed to do one of the jobs so they couldn't work on the original scheduled day. They did keep the work area clean but they never did fix my toilet. read more

I really cannot say enough about this company. They have angels as secretaries, for sure! I spoke with a lady named Rose, most recently, and she was truly a godsend. Every thing was going wrong in my life at the time and our schedules just couldn't work out the way we would have liked, but she did everything she could to get my problem handled as soon as possible. She really took the time to listen and showed empathy and patience while we sorted out our calendars to make an appointment work. Looks like I should've got Kevin I got Matthew o mara to install a water heater and a gas line to a ventless gas fireplace he showed up at 9:30 I showed him where the water heater was and we talked about running the gas line over to the firebox at 10:30 that's not started working yet said they had to go get parts came back and hour later installed The water heater was done around 12:30 said they would have to come back another day to install the gas line my wife paid him in full that day signed a invoice for The full amount. How ever he did not leave me a receipt but found out later why. Well they never came back and he told his employer that he did the work they said they had pictures I asked them to send them to me but They would NOT couple days later I got a call threatening to put a lien on my house now I haven't even seen an invoice a Bill or anything. Nice folks and good customer service but we were a bit disappointed in the work performed. They cut a hole in our garage ceiling dry wall to look at the pipes. After resolving the plumbing issue to their best ability, they left the hole and the dry wall mess they made in the garage. The dry wall was poorly cut into multiple little pieces and it has not been a simple fix without purchasing additional material. For the price paid, five-star service would have included a little better clean-up and closing lose-ends at the conclusion of the work. read more

They are nice, polite and seem to be good at what they do. My concern is that they wanted $100 for everything I needed them to do! I wanted a kitchen faucet installed, bathroom faucet installed, relocation of shutoff valve for kitchen faucet moved 8", a slow drain cleared, a vacuum breaker changed in an outdoor spigot, a frost-free nut replaced in a garage spigot - $100+$100+$100+$100+$100+$100 =$600 (plus $60 service call)! Seems a bit expensive for what it is, 2 hours work !! I really wanted to feel I got good value but I cannot say that - I need a hot water heater, sump pump, leak in basement and a water line brought from the road, probably $20k worth of work, I cannot imagine what Dean's would even charge me.... read more

Just wanted to write a quick update to my last review since it's been a couple of years since we used Dean's Plumbing. These guys do a fantastic job and really have customer service down to a science. Long story made short, kitchen sink backed up (of course on a friday evening), couldn't get it unclogged myself so I called Dean's. Decided to suffer through the weekend to avoid the after hours fees and used the deep sink for washing dishes (kids loved not having a dish washer, lol!), made an appointment for early in the week. Dean's had to re-schedule due to running over on another appointment and then I had to adjust the schedule due to a conflict on my end. In the end they came out and took care of the problem, were friendly, clean, and prompt when they arrived as always. A couple of days later they sent a nice card apologizing for having to reschedule with a couple of chick fil a gift cards for the inconvenience. Not that I was looking for free stuff but little things like this go a long way, they took it upon themselves to send it out, really cool on them for doing that. They're going to stay on my list for go to services in the area for sure, wouldn't use anyone else. What more could you ask for? read more
